Nurtured @ Shiregreen

This nursery needs a proper manager. The screen in reception doesn't reassure me that my child is safe. No greetings no good morning feels like a prison. When stated about the screen the manager told me there was no other room for sensitive conversations. Upon taking my grandson to the room I saw a meeting room where you could have sensitive conversations. I spoke with the manager about this and stated she lives in lala land . The office looks like a home from home isn't she supposed to be at work???? Don't think she can be bothered to walk up the stairs to tell you the truth. There's a coffee machine a heater etc in the office. This is a reception area and upon enquiring she said it's all on camera. Sorry you only have to duck down to avoid the camera. There's ppl walking all over in the nursery dropping there kids off while she's sat in the office with the doors closed. On my arrival the lady I gave my grandson to didn't seem to know what I was saying. I saw no toys no dressing up .

My daughter has been attending since March 2025 and I can honestly say she has come on so much since being there! She is so much more confident and she is learning new things every single day. It's so lovely to have found a nursery that is just like a home from home. Staff and management are all so welcoming and are amazing with my daughter. She has made some really good relationships with the staff as well as friendships with the other children. I know that i can drop her off and be completely relaxed and at ease knowing that she is getting the best care possible.

I can't thank nursery enough for all the hard work and time spent with arlo. He has come on leaps and bounds since been there every staff member is nice two members of staff ,and the room leader are great and approachable. The food choice is great and the cook does a fab job and last but not least the management team they are fab always there to help when needed and very friendly I couldn't ask for a better nursery for my son to go too since changing hands I've seen a big difference with day trips and activities they do in nursery the management team don't get enough credit for all they do

My daughter went to the holiday club in February and absolutely loved it. Fantastic staff, brilliant students, and amazing care for my daughter.

The variety of menu choices is fantastic and well balanced

Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nursery to put their child in.

My son was previously at another nursery in Sheffield (which wasn't great) we moved him to Nurtured Shiregreen at the start of March. The management and staff listened carefully to our son's routine and have been fantastic since he started, they always tell me I can call and speak to the staff to ask how he is in the day, I have suffered with post partum anxiety so this has helped me so much. They are such a helpful team, and they listen and take on board everything especially with helping wean him which was something I struggled with. My two nieces also attended this nursery and we saw such a difference in them once they had started here, speech improved massively etc. So far we've had a great experience, leaps and bounds above his previous nursery!

My little boy has been here since he was 6 months old, I'll openly admit I was heartbroken when he went but the staff made it clear he was having the time of his life while his mummy was working, they have stuck by him and introduced him to everything, I believe if I'd have not put him in so early he wouldn't be the bright little chatterbox he is today, also has a little attitude but doesn't every toddler! I'll openly admit I've had some trouble with the nursey but they've done everything in the interests of my child. And I can't fault anything they do. The manager will go above and beyond to make life easy for anyone and will give you all the support you need, I'd recommend the nursery to anyone who's looking. My little girl will be starting here as soon as she's able to after she's born because I couldn't trust anyone else to keep her safe like the staff would here.

Lovely nursery, especially since it's been taken over. Staff can't do enough for you. My child loves nursery and has made some great friends throughout, the way it's running is perfect. Nothing is ever too much and any problem is resolved efficiently and quickly. My only problem is the rule on Calpol, if they have it they can't come in. (Not sure if that's a law or nursery though)

My little boy has been at Nurtured Shiregreen since he was 9 months old and they have been amazing at caring for him! They have gone above and beyond to cater to him and his additional needs. I can always go to them for support and they do everything they can to help me! My son really enjoys it here and there are lots of different daily activities to help and support him to learn and grow!

All in all, this is a fabulous nursery and would highly recommend, keep up the great work!

Nurtured Shiregreen formally known as Upsadaisy Nursery is an amazing nursery. From the day went for a show round the connection the staff built with my child was 5*. They are so warm and welcoming and are always happy to answer any questions I may have and constantly give me updates on how your child is progressing. I went to view a few nurseries and there was always something missing but as soon I went there me and my partner knew this was the nursery that would give our child the best experience and we would be right. He is so happy when he goes to nursery and never gets upset when he has to leave us in the morning and is always so happy and bubbly when he sees the staff.

Seems like the menus used to be wide and varied and now the kids get the same stuff on a month based rota and it's just switched in and out.

The staff have being brilliant on helping me with any issues relating to my son. Love the new activities and range of experiences my son is being able to experience while in nursery and I feel I've got a good relationship with the staff and they keep me well informed of my child's development.

It's such a beautiful nursery and the staffs are very great, apart from looking after the children, they put parents into consideration too, they make life easier for us. I will recommend this nursery over and over again.

In summary great work, great nursery, great staff.

Since the new manager has taken over this nursery, she has put in a lot of changes. These changes have made this nursery 100 times better. Most people don't like change so I feel she's had a rough time and I myself did question one or two menu changes but like everything after a little time, it's clear to see why she's made these changes. She's supportive and understanding she's willing to listen to everyone. She takes serious matters very hands on and she goes that extra mile where ever she can. The team themselves have been there since my son started I have no staffing issues they are all individually lovely a very professional and polite environment.

She is our only complaint, other than that, we're happy and grateful for the support and childcare at Nurtured.

Since my daughter started earlier this year the whole staff team have been amazing. She has settled well and is thriving. She enjoys the activities on offer and talks happily about the staff in her room each time, filling me with confidence that they give her the right amount of attention and care. When I visit the team are always welcoming, information is shared and parent participation is encouraged. The new management have brought in some new ideas which I look forward to seeing come into fruition. Anything I am worried about, they make time to listen, explain and reassure me.

My son really enjoys his time at the nursery. The staff, especially our key worker, are amazing and always responsive to any questions we have. They do a great job of providing encouragement and supporting his development.

Nursery seems to be doing well since the new takeover. Nurtured childcare appears to have lots of good plans for the future, it's exciting to be a part of it.

My twins have just started at Nurtured after moving from another nursery and all the staff seem really welcoming and will go the extra mile to ensure your child is settled. The app is great and the key workers for my twins wanted to get to know them prior to starting. The boys have only been to a few settling-in sessions and properly started yesterday but already they are coming out giggling, happy and confident! I can't wait to see them shine here. They have so much variety in terms of food/menus, the sessions are flexible and the spreading of funded hours means it is more affordable for working parents! The outside space my twins already love and management are always available on the app or in person to help if needed.
