Both of my children have now attended St Mark's preschool and I can not praise them enough! They recognise each individual child and their needs and go above and beyond to provide great experiences for them all.
They have helped my youngest to settle in well and make her feel welcome and comfortable
there. Communication with parents is fantastic - daily posts on the app as well as monthly stay and play sessions.
There are additional experiences provided such as the leading library and consideration of the wider world with clothing and toy swap shops.

St Marks is a fantastic educational setting that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to everyone!

St Marks is a wonderful, safe and caring environment. My son currently attends every morning and although he is a little shy he absolutely loves being there. I have also had a fantastic experience with my daughter who attended a few years before my son and she loved it too. The staff are nothing short
of amazing!

Absolutely fantastic nursery. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for the children. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting St. Marks! They post regular updates on the tapestry app of the different activities the children have been up to each day and it's lovely to be able to see
all the fun my son has throughout the day and all the learning he does. I have and will always recommend St. Marks!

Couldn't have picked a better nursery for my daughter.

The girls here go above and beyond, my daughter runs into the setting ever day. My daughter is constantly asking about her friends and teachers, always speaking so positively.

Not only is the setting so fun and a great capacity to learn

in, the children enjoy many extra activities such as Jo Jingles! Trips to the library, and amazing life skills such as living sustainably! My daughter was chosen today to be a recycling buddy!

Healthy foods only are provided through the day, such as carrots and salsa, rice cakes and avocado on toast!

I will be so sad when my daughter moves to big school, however so greatful for the amazing start into education that she has been given!

Couldn't have asked for better people to help look after and nurture my daughter.

We couldn't be happier with St Mark's Pre-School. My little girl has settled in so well in such a short time, which really shows how welcoming and supportive the staff are. Both of her sisters previously attended the nursery, and once again the team have gone above and beyond for every child. The care,
kindness, and effort they put in is clear to see. I honestly couldn't recommend St Mark's Pre-School enough.

My daughter is in her second year at St Marks and she is thriving. She has grown in confidence, and her development in all areas has come on so much since she has been attending the pre-school. The support and encouragement from all the staff in this setting is 100% - they are consistent and keep you
updated at all stages. They are very open and honest, and welcome any feedback or concerns and will then speak to you and work with you on any issues or concerns that you have. I have found it to be a very caring and nurturing place for my child. You are updated regularly on your child's progress. I also love how much they engage with the children in activities, such as environmental, care in the community, healthy eating, IT, they attend the library, they have little school trips, and lots of activities around each holiday such as Easter and Christmas. The staff are so personal and you are made to feel a part of the pre school. I couldn't recommend this setting any more highly.

Over the last year and a half this pre-school has been like a home from home for my little boy.
Along with his key worker , every practitioner has taken the time to really get to know him and they are all able to incorporate his own personal interests into his learning to make it fun . Due to this
he has made so much progress and really enjoys his time there.
We are provided with regular updates throughout the day as to what activities they are doing in preschool and also an detail personalised weekly update detailing his progress, the focus for the week ahead and activities to do at home to help reinforce this learning . Which I feel certainly supports me as a parent to help my child learn.

Grateful to have found such an amazing preschool for my son to attend with staff who genuinely care providing invaluable experiences daily .

This was always going to be the nursery that both my children went too. So much so both of my children waited to start childcare until they was 2! I had already had recommendations and knew what experience we was going to have. I have a 2 and a 3 year old here and I will always shout from the rooftops
how amazing this preschool are. They go above and beyond to give the children amazing experiences such as going on the bus, to the library, out to sing songs to the elderly. The care they give is second to none. Both of my children and me love it here! Will be lots of tears from me when they leave. Xxx

If I was to recommend a nursery, it would be st marks over and over. I'd scream it from the roof tops if I could! My daughter started in August last year and she absolutely loves attending. There are lots of pre school activities, trips, food tasting and even activities for parents to join in with
their kids too.

Sarah, Carla, Joanne and Cerys are absolutely amazing women and my daughter loves them!

We have had the best experience whilst our daughter has been attending St Mark's Pre-school.

All of the staff are very friendly and professional, and made us and our daughter feel so welcome right from the initial taster session.

Choosing to send our daughter to St Mark's was the easiest decision

we've made and we would highly recommend this Pre-school to others.

I cannot praise this pre school enough. My daughter has absolutely thrived whilst been here and has learned so much through the amazing ladies that work there! They look after the children great and do everything to help. They also take them out on day trips and to dementia groups to interact with the
elderly and bring some happiness back to them also. They also have groups coming into pre school very often doing dance classes and sports classes. 100% recommend this pre school!!

Absolutely stunning nursery. My daughter would never leave us to even stay with family for 5 minutes, so I was so nervous about letting her try nursery life. I was instantly made to feel at ease from stepping foot through the door of St Marks. My daughter has never once not wanted to go to nursery and
I think that speaks volumes from a 2 year old. The learning experiences activities they put on is literally next level. My daughter is the youngest of 6 so I have been to many nurseries. St Marks is by far the best!!

St Mark's Pre School goes above and beyond in their dedication and duty in educating children. My son has an environment where he can grow and learn in a settkng where he is entirely comfortable and supported yet also encouraged to push himself. They also have an amazing way using a child's everchanging
interests as part of their learning which I find an amazing show of their dedication to each and every child at the pre school.

A wonderful preschool that goes above and beyond for the children in their care. I was always very worried about the transition of my child being in someone else's care but they made him instantly feel comfortable and his confidence has only blossomed since being in St. Marks. The activities they put
on for the children are so thought out and always have each child's individual preferences in mind.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.985)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.985) out of 10 for St Mark's Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.985 for St Mark's Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (515 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 523 Ratings = 4.985
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Mark's Pre-school is based on 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6, which has been reached with 44 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
