The aim at Kido is to provide a safe and inspiring environment that will empower your little ones to thrive!

The Golders Green is an Ofsted Outstanding nursery (awarded November 2021) and is located within a few hundred meters of the Golders Green underground and around the corner from Golders Hill park and its petting zoo. The nursery features large open spaces, an art studio and a beautiful garden with sandpit and mud kitchen available for the little ones to explore. The babies can also have fun in their special walled-off area in the garden. What makes the nursery most unique is the indoor slide that links the mezzanine with the ground floor.

They have created an innovative curriculum that is inspired by the best teaching philosophies, like Montessori, Reggio Emilia and the theory of Multiple Intelligences. The curriculum is created by an international team of specialists and is in line with the EYFS.

They offer multiple language instruction, daily nutritious and healthy food and snacks and all the nappies and wipes that your little one will need.

My child has been attending this nursery for almost two years now and the best review I can think of is the fact that she's happy there. She's built some strong friendships with both children and staff, is learning skills she's surprising us with and we are confident she's safe and well cared for. We
see this via an app, we are being constantly updated with information about her activities, meals, naps and toilet visits, as well as any bump or scratch that happens.

My daughter started attending the nursery before COVID when she was 1 and a half years old. We were anxious but quickly felt that the nursery staff will take good care of our child and were never disappointed. From the settling in procedure, through age group transitions they have always shown care
and experience resulting in our daughter being happy there. They supported her from early stage in learning and development and they have supported us (e.g. when we were potty training and were feeling lost).
In COVID times they implemented safety procedures that give us confidence and have worked really well so far.
There were times when my daughter didn't want to go (especially after prolonged time at home) and they were always patient and supportive with me trying to calm her down at the entrance and when they saw my distress at her reaction offered more frequent than usual updates about her that day which was very thoughtful.

We have had at least one of our children at Kido during the past 16 months and we've been extremely impressed with this nursery, specifically the way they settle in the kids, have adapted to the new environment of lockdown, update the parents with detailed information (both remotely and at the end of
the day), generally create a warm, friendly and educational environment for the kids. Also, the graduation ceremony for the leavers was a fantastic event and indicative of the huge effort all the staff at Kido make. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Our daughter has developed tremendously academically and socially since she started at Safari Kid Golders Green in Sept 2018. Several people in her life have commented on how much happier and more outgoing she has become since joining this nursery. She loves her teachers and her friends at school and
talks about them with us often. We get reports through the Famly App on a weekly basis (with pictures!) on how much she has learned, whether it’s writing her name in the salt tray, or weighing the different types of dinosaurs during exploration, or building structures in the garden or learning Mandarin or French, she truly enjoys discovering new things at Safari Kid. We can’t be more pleased. She is our 3rd child and this is by far the best nursery experience we had (it’s our 3rd nursery spanning across South Kensington, Maida Vale and Golders in 6 years). Biggest difference? Transparency. We feel so much more connected to the school and her learning experience than any of the other nurseries.

Our twins have been attending the nursery since October. They had a free week of settling in for a few hours a day.


We love the nursery, it is clean (and sanitised regularly), all the toys and books are new. The staff are the most important thing and they are really caring, they pick up the kids

when they are upset and seem to genuinely really like the twins. The setting for their age group is so generous with a huge well-appointed room with different play areas and high-end children's furniture. The outside space is bright, not too big or small and has nice toys/play areas. They seem to do plenty of messy play (judging by our washing) and the day is well organised. The food sounds tasty too.


It is expensive (especially 1/2 days) and 5% sibling discount is not very generous. They really should do free nappies (wipes) as it is a bit unmanageable.


Ultimately the kids are happy, stimulated, and loved and the staff are amazing. Ours are really flourishing there. The app is good too.

Our kids are both at the nursery since it has opened. As it is a new nursery we were a bit sceptical, especially because it is one of the most expensive in our areas.
The nursery is very bright and has lots of high-end toys.
The outside space is on the large side and has a sand pit, climbing frames,
mud kitchen and many toys for outside such as bikes. I was happy to hear that my kids spend a good amount of time outside every day, especially when the weather is nice.
The staff are just brilliant. They are so warm to our kids and have a good understanding of their needs. We can really see the big difference that the nursery has made to our kids since they started. Every day they surprise us at home with their new knowledge.
My kids are so happy going there every morning and that is the best feeling for a mum.
I have recommended this nursery to a lot of people who have also enrolled their kids there and have been incredibly happy too.

We looked at other nurseries but really liked Safari as it was new, the space was light and open and the staff seemed very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and interested in early years development. Our daughter started in October when she was 19 months old and has been very happy. Every morning she looks
forward to going into nursery and we are greeted by smiling and happy staff and children.


Kids are stimulated and there is learning through play and trips are made to Golders Hill Park and the Nursery has a very nice outside playground. Our daughter loves it and that is the main thing for us.


The location near the tube station is also extremely convenient for drop-offs in the mornings.


It is more expensive compared to other nurseries but I guess you get what you pay for.

We have been very happy with Safari Kid nursery, Golders Green. The staff are very caring and get to know the children as individuals. There is a stimulating variety of activities with both indoor and outdoor facilities and playtime. The building is a stunning renovation of a church hall.
It would
be helpful if they offered flexibility in hours such as term time only for children with older siblings at school.
Overall, we feel our child is nurtured and safe and the staff really care, which is the most important thing of all.

Hello,


My name is Ysanne Gardener, and I've been working in childcare for 16 wonderful years. My passion for working with children has been a lifelong dream. During my studies, I had the chance to do a placement in a primary school, which solidified my commitment to early years education, and I’ve never looked back since. Over the years, I’ve developed a wealth of skills and a deeper understanding of child development, which has been incredibly beneficial, especially with my own child who is now nearly 4.


I believe one of my key strengths lies in my leadership abilities, as well as my problem-solving skills and initiative. My communication skills allow me to be an effective manager, and I’m good at thinking on my feet. However, I acknowledge that my creative side could use some work, drawing is not my strong suit! Bringing creative ideas to life is definitely a challenge for me, but I’m always eager to learn and improve.
