A lovely nursery in a leafy part of Gogarburn Campus of RBS

Gogarburn (RBS) Nursery is now accepting enquiries from the local community of Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

The nursery is situated securely within the leafy and quiet surroundings of the Gogarburn Campus of RBS. Ample drop off and pick up spaces are available directly outside of the nursery.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond. The fully enclosed garden provides the opportunity to extend play and learning in the outdoor environment in all weathers.

The highly qualified and experienced staff team will take the children on a learning journey, through Bright Horizons unique Growing Programmes to extra-curricular activities and nature walks in the stunning surroundings of Gogarburn.

The friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour and answer any questions you may have.

My daughter started in the baby room a couple of months ago and we’re really happy with the nursery. The ladies in the room are always very welcoming in the morning and they let me know exactly how she’s been during the day.
My daughter has settled in great and is always happy when I pick her up.
They have also been great with her weaning journey, which has made me feel confident when leaving her. Highly recommend.

My son started the nursery in January this year and it has been a very positive experience so far. It’s a shame that I can’t mention names but a few of the staff (mainly all of them in the baby room) have been outstanding and I have found it very comforting and supportive. I was dreading my baby first
starting nursery and it has been much easier because of the staff. The nursery is a very open environment and most of the staff are friendly and chatty, which is what a parent wants. The staff in the baby room have been spot on with helping with my child’s eating and sleeping, listening to our thoughts at home but also leading with their own thoughts and initiatives. The office are good at communicating which has not always been the case in the past. Thank you all

Really lovely nursery. It’s easy to see how much the staff care for the children at the nursery. Facilities are great with clean, tidy indoor space and plenty of activities to keep the children entertained. Garden areas also really nice and good for the different ages to mix at times.

Our son attends this nursery once a week. He’s done this since December 2019. He looks forward to it every week, the staff are fantastic. They focus on ensuring he’s included, even though it’s once a week and he always has a great time. The outdoor space is fantastic and I have full trust he’s well
cared for. Interactions with staff are always positive and I always feel connected to what he’s been up to. Highly recommend.

Our little one has been at nursery since she was 9.5 months old. In that time, we have seen a really positive transition, in line with her movement through the different rooms and age groups. The environment is most simply put, one where we entrust her care and wellbeing entirely. She almost without
exception returns to us smiling and excited to share her experiences and arts and crafts with us, reflective of the attention to her development the nursery affords her. She in turn trusts her carers too and has developed special relationships with her key workers. We honestly could not recommend this nursery highly enough.

My little boy attends the nursery here. He is in the baby room just now. The staff are all so lovely and made me feel really comfortable about returning to work and having him there. The staff are really great at giving updates, when we pick him up and the app is a great tool, so we can see what he’s
been doing whilst there.

Fabulous setting for children to grow and develop. The staff are amazing! Both my daughters have attended this nursery and made lasting bonds with the staff. Covid has been a real challenge, but I’ve been able to leave my youngest, knowing she’s in great hands and loves her routine at nursery.

Hi, my name is Beth and I’m the Lead Practitioner at RBS Gogarburn.
I started working in nurseries at the age of 16 whilst doing my college qualification in Early Years Development and then onto my university degree in Early Childhood Studies.
My main interests include outdoor play and language development. I recently became a mum to my daughter Olivia, and together we enjoy going for walks to see the ducks and going swimming!

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am the Acting Manager here at RBS Nursery. My dedication to the early years sector started back in 2015 where I went to Liverpool to study my Ba(Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. From this I went on to work as an Early Years Practitioner here in Scotland and have continued to work my way up the ladder to Room Leader and now Deputy Manager. I am now continuing my studies and I am attending Edinburgh College to complete my PDA in Childhood Practice where I will explore all things management and leadership.


My drive and enthusiasm when working with children comes from seeing them thrive in the stimulating environments provided. I love following the children's interests and seeing the wonder on their faces as they explore."
