The Muswell Hill Day Nursery

Having my child at the Muswell Hill Day Nursery has been an absolute pleasure for the year he's been attending. All the staff go out of their way to be welcoming and caring to my little one on a daily basis. The care seems totally tailored to each individual child, and the learning and creative activities seem great for their development. Not to mention, the food is also really varied and has been great for expanding my son's willingness to experiment! It's great having the daily photo updates and I love picking him up at the end of the day and hearing all that he's been up to!

The nursery staff are all friendly and welcoming, they seem to enjoy their work and genuinely care about the children. Our daughter has been there since a baby and is now in preschool and I only have positive experiences to share.

It's a lovely nursery with great facilities for the kids but it's the staff that really makes this place. They are all wonderfully kind, supportive and really take the time to build strong relationships with the children and their parents.

Such a lovely nursery - all the staff are so welcoming and caring, it gives great confidence to leaving your child there for the day! The food provided is very varied and they do lots of stimulating activities with the children throughout the day - it's been really lovely seeing my son develop during his time there :)

I am so impressed with the time and care all staff took in settling our granddaughter in. She had additional health requirements, which have been attentively addressed and continues to be a priority in her care plan. The individual care plan is very reassuring and communication between carers and staff is excellent. I wish this level of care existed when my children were small!

I am very happy with my son's development, I like the attitude, the fact that they upload everything he does to the app. I also like how strict they are with picking up the child from kindergarten if someone else has to pick him up.

Our little one has been attending the nursery since turning one. It's been over a year now and she runs to her room in the morning, calling for her little friends and the team. She wants to stop by the reception team to give a cuddle to both managers each morning. She's been very well looked after. Changing between room is child led which we've been very happy about and the team has been guiding and reassuring us during the process. They're very much open to hearing how you feel about anything related to the nursery to keep the children's experience as good as possible.

Our son is now getting ready for school and is in his final year of nursery. We are very pleased with his nursery school teacher, she is organised, caring and in complete control of the class. We feel she is really installing the right skills and environment for joining school next September. He has made some really great friends and we get the sense he enjoys his time there. Overall really pleased with the nursery.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough! Genuinely the only people I trust to look after my little one. Absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable staff at Muswell Hill. The preschool room teachers are particularly proactive in preparing the 3-4s for school. Overall brilliant care and kindness all round.

Comms - this deteriorated over the 2 years we were there. In other nurseries there's been near-daily updates with photos and notes on 'the app'.

I am an uncle of a child who attends the preschool room. I collected my nephew for the first time, the security check the manager had in place was great even though my sister had told them I was going and sent a picture of me. I was still stopped and asked security questions and was escorted to the classroom and introduced to his teachers. I was given a detailed description of what my nephew had done that day. I was so impressed by the welcoming of the nursery as a whole. I wish when my child used to go to nursery I had that much pleasure in picking up my child know what she'd done at nursery.

Our daughter is very happy when she comes home from nursery - the staff are very welcoming and kind and the array of activities throughout the week helps to engage her brain in a variety of ways. She particularly loves the yoga, dance and art teachers that come in.

Our daughter loves coming to nursery. She has built really good relationships with the adults in her room. Everybody is approachable and responsive. She loves the different specialists coming in from dance to yoga and art. The most important thing for us is she’s happy and healthy and this is absolutely supported in that here.

For my partner and me, our number one priority was to find the right nursery that would provide a good environment for our baby's early year development. During my visit, I was instantly attracted to a warm, fun and loving atmosphere that seemed aligned with how we nurture at home. The transition period has been amazing, both for my baby and for me, thanks to the incredibly supportive staff. We also find the app to be a really helpful digital tool for parents to check in on how our baby is doing at the nursery during the day. We feel extremely happy to have found this nursery, and we look forward to the journey ahead where our baby will grow, explore and socialise.

My two-and-a-half-year-old son has been going to The Muswell Hill Preschool for two months and he’s made tremendous progress since he started. His spoken language has improved remarkably in just two months. Most importantly, he’s made many new friends and the nursery staff are very kind and professional. My son also very much enjoys the multiple facilities (indoor/outdoor area etc..) that are part of the nursery. I’d highly recommend this nursery.

Wonderful nursery: the staff are attentive and caring; the space is cheerful and clean and a site of play and independence for my daughter. At pick-up time she always seems to be happily immersed in some activity or exploration, under the gentle supervision of the key workers. So grateful for the care and structure the nursery maintains and the opportunity to socialize, learn together and grow it provides energetic children!

It is such a relief to send children off to nursery each day with a huge smile, chatting away with such excitement about which staff member or friend they will see first - and that has been our experience with both of our children at The Muswell Hill Preschool. It is a fun and caring setting, where the kids have felt happy and secure, always eager to tell us about the 'adventures' of their day be it the indoor outdoor room, yoga, learning about emotions, the incredible art classes or breakfast! We couldn't be happier.

Caring and nurturing nursery which seems to adhere to high standards, whether it be nutrition or staff. My daughter is undoubtedly enriched by the arts, crafts, literature and music curriculum and also has impeccable manners and a gorgeous accent which she certainly didn't get from me! The atmosphere in the nursery is creative and modern and benefits from fantastic toys and activities as well as a great sensory room. The only drawback is perhaps the lack of a proper garden but then again there is also a lack of a proper summer so it's not as significant. My experience as a parent has also been quite positive and where there have been issues we felt the nursery was efficient, thorough and quick to act.

My son started nursery at 10 months old full time and I was really nervous about going back to work and how he’d cope without me. It was a tough start but the staff at the nursery were so kind and patient and I trusted them immediately. My son soon settled and now loves his time there. He leads me to his room every day and greets me with a smile at the end of the day, proudly showing me around and saying goodbye to everyone from the babies to the chef to the managers in the office. They do lovely activities and really care about the children. It’s a large space with lots of engaging displays and wonderful equipment. I was keen on outdoor space and although the garden is small, they use it every day along with the amazing indoor-outdoor space. The menu is outstanding and my boy eats like a king. Can recommend this nursery highly.
