Oak Lee Montessori School offers childcare for children aged six months to five years old. The school is set in a former family home, on quiet, residential street in Pinner, Greater London. It is a short walk from Love Lane car park, Pinner Underground Station and bus stops for the H11, H12 and H13 bus routes.

Oak Lee follows the Montessori method, a holistic approach that garners each child’s capacity for learning through independent and guided play in specially created learning environments. Qualified Montessori teachers support each child as an individual to explore their interests in stimulating play areas. Guided learning is designed in line with the EYFS curriculum to support each child to reach their development goals.

The team work closely with parents, creating a plan for each child and recording their progress using an Individual Online Learning Journey, with progress reports produced every six weeks.

Extra-curricular activities are available at no extra cost. These include French, ICT, music and movement, tennis and yoga. Children enjoy outings a few times a year, such as to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Transport Museum and Petting Farm.

Oak Lee also works with a local care home, providing intergenerational experiences for the children and care home residents.

All meals are freshly prepared by Oak Lee’s cooks. All food is nutritionally balanced, low in sugar and salt, and made using organic ingredients as much as possible. The kitchen team can cater to any dietary needs, including lifestyle choices, religious requirements and allergies and intolerances.

We are coming to the end of our son's first year at Oak Lee Montessori School. The nursery has helped him settle in really well and are obviously caring and experienced in what they do. The nursery has excellent learning activities and sessions which parents can also attend. They organise really useful,
informative evenings such as sessions on oral health and toilet training. The focus on the child's individual development within the group setting is also excellent. The food menu is also well planned with careful consideration of healthier, nutritional meals and snacks. The nursery conducted a review of their menu recently with good effect after listening to parents. Regardless, prior to this, they still had a far better menu than many other nurseries. Would definitely recommend this nursery/

Our daughter loves Oak Lee Montessori School! Our experience with them is excellent - lots of communication, great structure and staff who are genuinely excited to see the children in the morning. Every day there's feedback with regular photos. Speaking to other parents outside for drop-off and pick-up
feels like a genuine community.

My daughter has been attending Oak Lee for almost two years. She has thrived at the nursery, developed and learnt so much. Her eating habits and willingness to try different foods, especially fruit and veg are great, and I am grateful for the support the staff have given in her development.

We have sent our son to Oak Lee Montessori School when he was 9 months old (he is now 3 years and 3 months). He adores all his teachers including cooking teachers. The progress he has made from both learning and behavioural perspective is simply incredible: he is only 3 but he is already starting additions
and phonics but most importantly it is done in such a subtle way that kids think that they are playing and without any pressure. The activities and conversations they have at the nursery are varied from values e.g. everybody is unique and special to the solar system. Physical activity is also valued. And the food apparently is delicious as quite a lot of kids tend to go for seconds. The nursery management is exceptional! When most nurseries closed for the first lockdown, ours stayed open to support key workers and online learning options have been provided to us to support us (e.g. online yoga, story reading and materials we could print like colouring pages etc). I could not ask for a better nursery!

I could not recommend Oak Lee Montessori School more. We have two daughters there, aged one and four. My eldest has thrived since joining there in the last year. Her reading, writing and understanding of different topics has developed so much and she will be more than ready for big school. My youngest
is equally enjoying it and settled in really quickly. The staff are extremely dedicated and focused on the individual needs of the children. Plus the food there is amazing! The communication from the management and office is also fantastic.

Both our children went to Oak Lee Montessori School. We had an exceptional experience both times. The nursery is well run, with managers visible and accessible on a daily basis. The key staff members and management team have been there for a number of years and are highly experienced and dedicated.
They set the kids up very well and make them independent which helps them to transition to school, such as in the way they shake hands in the evening, the uniform, French studies, short tennis, IT classes and the fact that the kids all have to carry their own book bags. The management have a strong ethos around healthy eating with an exceptional menu for kids. This is very important as the kids learn about nutrition at an early age. Both our kids thrived at Oak Lee Montessori School, settled very easily into school life and loved their time there. We would highly recommend Oak Lee Montessori School.

Our son had a fantastic journey through Oak Lee Montessori School. He was very happy there and used to look forward to going to nursery everyday. The teaching staff there were nurturing, dedicated, knowledgeable and approachable. There was regular feedback given on our sons progress and if we had any
questions, they were always be available to talk to you and would respond to any messages very quickly. We would recommend this nursery.

Both my children attended Oak Lee Montessori School where they grew from babies into independent and confident children, ready for school. They were always well looked after, stimulated, well-nourished and educated to a high standard. I always felt confident knowing that they were in safe hands. The
food was always freshly prepared, healthy and well balanced. The organisation, activities and communication were always to a high standard, which is reflected in their detailed and numerous strict policies. The founder is very passionate and has a great team. I highly recommend Oak Lee Montessori School.

We had a wonderful experience sending our daughter to Oak Lee Montessori School. The induction and registration process was swift and well conducted. I really felt they wanted to get to know my child and they were very detailed with the information they gathered. My daughter settled in almost immediately
and was very excited to attend daily. We noticed how she was taking on positive actions and behaviours learnt whilst she was there, such as pushing chairs in when standing up and tidying away shoes without a thought. Her confidence grew and she was always happy. The staff were welcoming and polite. Management was great at keeping parents up to date and communication was excellent. We were always really impressed that it was a structured environment and processes were very swift especially drop off's and pickups.

Oak Lee provides a nurturing, disciplined environment for nursery aged children to grow and develop, preparing them with an excellent foundation to walk into compulsory education with confidence and independence - fully prepared to learn and grow. The nursery has a wonderful, open and approachable management
team that care's for the children's mental and physical wellbeing as well as teaching great life skills and foundations for academic education. We've sent both our daughters here and my nieces will follow too.

We chose to send our eldest son to Oak Lee as a recommendation when we moved to Pinner. My only regret is we didn't send him to Oak Lee sooner. We sent our second son to Oak Lee when he was 7 months old and he will stay with the Oak Lee family until he goes to school. We love that the amazing, kind,
caring staff are so upbeat, polite and nurturing. We love the independence that Oak Lee instill into our children. My children are so helpful and independent at home as a result. They instil good manners by entering greetings and leaving at the end of the day. The learning is second to none with so many variations with teaching. Care home trips and engagement of children with the elderly instil respect. The food is nutritious and the communications are fantastic.

We moved to Oak Lee in March 2020 during the initial lockdown we stayed on as our daughter settled well and quickly. The staff seemed competent and consistent which was very important to me. Difficult to answer below eg. good or excellent as not enough interactions due to Covid.

We have been with Oak Lee for over 7 years; we have 3 children and our youngest is still there! Over this time, we've been fortunate to build and maintain a great partnership with Oak Lee and I believe our children have benefitted from this. From a very young age, Oak Lee introduced structure and education
but more importantly, the children are happy and engaged throughout, that's based on our experience. The staff have great energy and ethos about them.

My son went to Oak Lee Montessori School when he was younger, now in year three and my daughter currently goes there. It's a very professional setup, staff are trained very well and everything is done in a systematic and proper way with education, social skills, food and play. There is daily feedback
to parents via their website, weekly photos sent to parents, regular one-to-one catch-ups and parental workshops. We feel very secure sending our little one to this safe and caring environment and are confident that she will be ready for school when she graduates. I would highly recommend this nursery to parents.

Picking a nursery for any new mother returning to work is a daunting task; with the fear of missing out, the anxiety of having someone other than family caring for your little one and the general uncertainty of what to expect from it all. I would like to say one meeting with the staff at Oak Lee Montessori
School and I was sold. All the staff were so warm and welcoming and treat each child as individuals. The daily fun activities are tailored to each child ensuring they reach their full potential. The onsite cook and team come up with the most amazing nutritious dishes too. There is also the opportunity to have regular catch up's with my son's key workers which I have found reassuring and informative. My little one has been attending for a year now and I would highly recommend Oak Lee Montessori School to anyone looking for a nursery in the area. It's been such a blessing to have found such a wonderful nursery to provide him with such a solid foundation in life.

Job Title: Director/Owner Joined: 2009

I founded Oak Lee Montessori in 2009 and we opened our doors in early 2010. My dream was always to open up a setting which provided excellent childcare which was firmly rooted in the belief that as childcare professionals we can make a difference to the lives of the children we care for and their families. After qualifying as a Nursery Nurse and Montessori Teacher, I worked at the Cheyne Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy. I have incredibly fond memories of my time there and the bonds I made with the children I cared for. I spent some years in the family hardware business and was at that stage a working Mum. I have two girls who are now 24 and 26 years old and family is hugely important to me. This drives me each day to ensuring that we build Oak Lee into a community where we all support each other and teach the children the value of community, integrity, kindness and charity. I believe education and learning should continue throughout our life and as such I ensure I provide my team opportunities to learn and grow. I am passionate about health and well being and have embedded these within the very fabric of Oak Lee by investing time, energy and resources on the food we provide and incorporating yoga into our daily routine.
