Burgess Hill Nursery

This is my second child who has attended at nursery at Burgess Hill Girls. I love the access the children have to the variety of outdoor spaces on the campus that in a safe environment for the children to explore. My son has come on remarkably since starting back in January and always races off ahead to get into his room as soon as possible. He has formed some great bonds with both staff and pupils and always comes home with a huge smile on his face which has been so lovely to see after a year of being socially distanced. Being an August baby I was concerned that school in September would be a challenged or him but he’s more than ready to make the step up thanks to his introduction to mark marking, phonics and numbers he has undertaken at nursery. I know he will be sad to leave but will also look back fondly on his time here, I would happily recommend the nursery here to anyone, in fact I already have!

In these difficult and uncertain times, I have been provided with tasks and activities for my daughter to complete at home if she is temporarily absent due to COVID-19. Overall, I am very happy with my choice of nursery for my daughter - Burgess Hill Nursery seems to be a perfect start to her education and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My son attended the nursery from 2.5 years to 4 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were different themes and activities each week, although he only went for 3 days he still got involved with everything that was taking place in the week. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and make the children so comfortable in their setting. My son started school in Sept and we were told he is doing so well and must have had a good basis of learning from the nursery. My daughter has now just started nursery and we can’t wait to see her grown and learn in this fantastic setting.

Overall very good nursery. The fact that the nursery does not provide any facilities for children who need to get some sleep, is the only thing we struggle with. Napping on the floor/carpet? Who would want to sleep like that?

Both my sons have attended Burgess Hill nursery and both have loved it there. Great staff, fabulous with all the children. A very safe and welcoming environment. My daughter will hopefully be going there too. No other nursery compares, we just love it!

Fantastic facilities run by warm, friendly, consummate professionals who genuinely care about the children's wellbeing and development; our little girl is clearly enjoying her time there. Regular, concise updates on the children's activities are provided and there is good flexibility for parental check-ins. We are very happy with our choice of nursery!

My daughter's needs are well understood, she is treated as an individual and the curriculum and activities are tailored to her. The staff often go above and beyond. We look forward to the nursery utilising further a variety of different learning environments in the future

My only dissatisfaction is the lack of flexibility regarding nursery days and hours. Term time children's holidays are not aligned to public school holiday dates which would be much more suitable for working parents.

Staff at the nursery are highly attentive and provide an excellent structure for learning and development.

The nursery is set in lovely grounds. There are lots of opportunities for the children to learn and play.

My daughter just started going the Burgess Hill Girls Nursery and she settled in within weeks. We are very happy to see her enjoying herself there. We are looking forward to her great learning journey in this institute.

The nursery is a very positive environment and our son is thriving. Teachers and support staff are excellent. I'm very pleased with how much he's already learning. He's made friends and enjoys his time there.

It is an attentive and caring environment where my daughter is happy and looks forward to her days at nursery.

I really can't fault this nursery. It is fantastic! It is extremely well run and ordered whilst at the same time the staff are very compassionate with my daughter. She absolutely loves going here and is often sad to leave! The staff are a pleasure to deal with and the building very modern and attractive. The nursery encourages outdoor play and uses the school grounds to good effect. Highly recommended! Your child will love it!

I can’t rate Burgess Hill Nursery highly enough. The staff are so caring and are so inventive when it comes to interesting my daughter in her learning. I’ve noticed a real improvement in her focus and attention span, as well as her knowledge (letters and numbers and writing skills). They have a new topic each term which is really nice - she now knows all the planet names thanks to the space topic and we’re really looking forward to Spring when the children will get to watch chicks hatching! It’s a nice balance of structure and play which I think will make the transition to school much easier. Their outside space is also really well equipped and they get to go on walks around the school grounds as well, which my daughter loves. All in all, I can’t think of a single thing to improve on and only wish we’d found it sooner!

Both children have been very happy at the nursery. It feels like a great stepping stone between traditional nurseries and school. They learn a lot but have a lot of fun too. The outside space is fantastic as are the light classrooms. Teachers are warm and welcoming too.

A wonderful nursery, my child is very happy, lots of fun toys to play with plus structured learning, her reading and writing has come on so well and lots of outside play as well. The food provided is great, it encourages my child to try lots of different things. They are very adaptable as well and will listen to your requests. We love it here and hopefully, my next child will be attending as well once they reach the correct age.

A wonderful nursery. Great staff, lovely space and fantastic learning environment. A very positive experience.

Space, stars and planets captivated my daughter’s imagination. She learned so much and so quickly in a manner that means she’ll never forget. Very precious.

We could not rate Burgess Hill Nursery more highly. Our son has been there for 10 months now and has had a wonderful time there as well as learning so much along the way. We have two older children who went to other nurseries in the area and looking back, we really wish we had known about Burgess Hill nursery for them too! The nursery itself is spacious and light and the outdoor area is very well equipped too. The nursery children also go on regular walks around the grounds of Burgess Hill Girls which our son always really enjoys. The staff could not be friendlier and more helpful, and we feel they have the balance of structured learning and free play just right. A big thumbs up from us.
