My son attended the nursery from 2.5 years to 4 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were different themes and activities each week, although he only went for 3 days he still got involved with everything that was taking place in the week. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and make the children
so comfortable in their setting. My son started school in Sept and we were told he is doing so well and must have had a good basis of learning from the nursery. My daughter has now just started nursery and we can’t wait to see her grown and learn in this fantastic setting.

Overall very good nursery. The fact that the nursery does not provide any facilities for children who need to get some sleep, is the only thing we struggle with. Napping on the floor/carpet? Who would want to sleep like that?

Both my sons have attended Burgess Hill nursery and both have loved it there. Great staff, fabulous with all the children. A very safe and welcoming environment. My daughter will hopefully be going there too. No other nursery compares, we just love it!

Fantastic facilities run by warm, friendly, consummate professionals who genuinely care about the children's wellbeing and development; our little girl is clearly enjoying her time there. Regular, concise updates on the children's activities are provided and there is good flexibility for parental check-ins.

Fantastic nursery. My children are well cared for and their wellbeing is taken seriously.
The pre-school learning from age three is great and I know the nursery staff are committed to getting children ready for school so they are equipped to deal with their new surroundings.
My only dissatisfaction
is the lack of flexibility regarding nursery days and hours. Term time children's holidays are not aligned to public school holiday dates which would be much more suitable for working parents.

I really can't fault this nursery. It is fantastic! It is extremely well run and ordered whilst at the same time the staff are very compassionate with my daughter. She absolutely loves going here and is often sad to leave! The staff are a pleasure to deal with and the building very modern and attractive.
The nursery encourages outdoor play and uses the school grounds to good effect. Highly recommended! Your child will love it!

I can’t rate Burgess Hill Nursery highly enough. The staff are so caring and are so inventive when it comes to interesting my daughter in her learning. I’ve noticed a real improvement in her focus and attention span, as well as her knowledge (letters and numbers and writing skills). They have a new
topic each term which is really nice - she now knows all the planet names thanks to the space topic and we’re really looking forward to Spring when the children will get to watch chicks hatching! It’s a nice balance of structure and play which I think will make the transition to school much easier. Their outside space is also really well equipped and they get to go on walks around the school grounds as well, which my daughter loves. All in all, I can’t think of a single thing to improve on and only wish we’d found it sooner!

Both children have been very happy at the nursery. It feels like a great stepping stone between traditional nurseries and school. They learn a lot but have a lot of fun too. The outside space is fantastic as are the light classrooms. Teachers are warm and welcoming too.

A wonderful nursery, my child is very happy, lots of fun toys to play with plus structured learning, her reading and writing has come on so well and lots of outside play as well. The food provided is great, it encourages my child to try lots of different things. They are very adaptable as well and will
listen to your requests. We love it here and hopefully, my next child will be attending as well once they reach the correct age.

We could not rate Burgess Hill Nursery more highly. Our son has been there for 10 months now and has had a wonderful time there as well as learning so much along the way. We have two older children who went to other nurseries in the area and looking back, we really wish we had known about Burgess Hill
nursery for them too! The nursery itself is spacious and light and the outdoor area is very well equipped too. The nursery children also go on regular walks around the grounds of Burgess Hill Girls which our son always really enjoys. The staff could not be friendlier and more helpful, and we feel they have the balance of structured learning and free play just right. A big thumbs up from us.

I could not be happier with the preschool. The staff are consistent, caring and focused on providing children with the best possible learning environment. My daughter talks of wonderful experiences and we have seen her progress with her writing, numbers and knowledge. I love the creative approach the
preschool uses to help children learn including their social and emotional development. My daughter loves her preschool and tells us it’s lots of fun. I will be sad when it’s her time to leave, but confident she’ll be ready for the next stage in her education.

Suzanne

Suzanne Roberts

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

Suzanne is a Qualified Early Years Teacher with 30 years experience in the Childcare and Education Industry. She joined Burgess Hill Girls in 2016 after relocating from London where she worked across a variety of settings, including a social enterprise, local authority family and children’s centres and PVI Early Years settings, all at management level.


She has dedicated her whole career to supporting families and their children so they can experience the best possible start in life.


Suzanne’s move to Sussex has been liberating in more ways than one, swapping daily gym workouts for hikes and camping adventures with her family and her dog who pops into the Nursery now and then to enjoy a cuddle with the staff and children.

Nicole Parker

Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager & Curriculum Lead Joined: 2014

Nicole first worked with Burgess Hill Nursery as a student on a level 3 childcare and education placement. She later joined the team on a permanent basis as a Nursery practitioner and continued with her professional studies.


Nicole is now Early Years Teacher qualified and supports the Nursery to deliver high standards of care and education by working closely with parents, children and staff.


Nicole is a fun loving member of the team and enjoys celebrating the small achievements with her class, usually through song and dance.
