Ashbourne Day Nurseries at Bricket Wood

We love the team at Bricket Wood! Our eldest attended until she started school and now our youngest daughter is there. Both absolutely love all the team and look forward to going in. The team are so friendly, caring and helpful.

The staff are all very helpful and try their best to accommodate changes (within reason!) and assist with any specific issues (such as nap-dropping and toilet training) whenever I have asked.

Bricket Wood nursery is extremely welcoming and friendly, and the staff are fantastic and caring, nurturing our two children every step of the way.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area.

I have great love for Ashbourne nurseries at Bricket Wood. My son has been attending two days a week for over a year now. From settling days, until now, the staff have gone above and beyond for my son and myself. They have made it almost feel like a second home for him. The welcoming smiles that we are greeted with each day and seeing how much all the staff care about all of the children is absolutely fantastic. I have seen my son grow and gain confidence, learn new things and have great fun with his friends that he has made. He has even taught me nursery rhymes that I did not even know. So happy :) Thank you, to all of you, knowing that my son is safe, well looked after and always coming out with a smile on his face!

My daughter has been going to this nursery since September and she really loves going! Never cries at drop off which I think is because she feels safe and happy at Ashbourne Nursery. It is a small setting which I think is a perfect setting for transitioning from being at home, like a home away from home rather than going into a large establishment! The team are friendly and professional and I know my daughter is left in safe hands.

We love Ashbourne, after lockdown, my two children started attending 4 days a week. All the staff took time and care to settle my children (and me) in. My oldest child has gone from being completely attached to staff to flowering into having super strong friendships with so many children. The staff are an extended family for my children and they take time to know the children and work alongside them. My kids love it there. Thank you for providing a safe, caring, and fun environment for my children to blossom in.

I can not say enough good things about Ashbourne Day Nurseries! My son attends 3 mornings a week and has so much fun! The staff are wonderful and it’s clear to see how much they really care about the children. It’s lovely to see. The atmosphere at Ashbourne is welcoming, kind, and warm. Just like a second home for my son! My son loves the outside garden and there are new activities to do every day! Communication is great between staff and parents so I always know what my son is achieving! Wonderful nursery!

I was so nervous about sending my daughter to nursery as we had only ever spent about 3 hours apart from one another (lockdown baby!) before, but the staff at Ashbourne were so reassuring and really took the time to settle her in well. There were a few tears in the first few weeks, but they checked in regularly with me and did everything they could to learn about things she liked/disliked, etc. Now she absolutely loves it there and has really bonded well with all the staff. I feel like in their short time together they know her really well and always provide great updates on everything she has done throughout the day. I no longer worry about not having these days with her as I know she has such a great time and it is so good for her development. Some days I struggle to get her in the car to go home as she's so busy waving to her new friends and doesn't want the fun to end. Can't thank the team enough for making the transition to nursery a really positive experience. I would highly recommend them.

It's a very lovely nursery. I like that it is a small friendly environment. The nursery workers are lovely and my daughter loves nursery!

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for around 3 months now and I am very pleased with the way that her development has accelerated following the long period of lockdown. The team are always supportive, friendly, and helpful and the nursery seems to have a great feeling about it. Striking the right balance between being too formal or perhaps too informal for the youngsters. I am also pleased by the daily updates and regular feedback on the activities of the day. If you are looking for a new setting for your child, I couldn't recommend the team at Ashbourne highly enough! Get your young one booked in!

Strong emphasis on education. Good structure and discipline. Well managed. Staff are experienced, work well together and have a good bond with the children. My daughter loves going to the nursery, loves her friends and staff, and is progressing nicely. Staff go the extra mile. We are amazed at her learning progress. Very happy we chose this nursery.

My youngest son is currently attending, with my eldest having recently left for school, so we have attended within the family for the past 3.5 years and have nothing but praise for the nursery. Both children's development has been incredible and a large proportion of this is down to the fabulous team, who the kids seem to adore. The facilities are intimate (but I think this makes it more comforting for the youngers) but are filled with fantastic equipment and learning tools. Would recommend to anyone contemplating joining.

Our little boy has been at Bricket Wood nursery since he turned one in January and has absolutely thrived. He loves going and the staff have always been really good with him and in communication with us. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking.

My son attends Ashbourne Nursery two mornings a week and always looks forward to going. When he first started he had a few tears the first week, but all the staff were so lovely, reassured, and comforted him and he soon settled. We are potty training at the moment and the nursery have been following our lead with what we have been doing at home, which is great and the whole transition has been going well. The nursery has now introduced an app so parents can see about their child's day for instance, what they had to eat and how much they ate, which is so helpful. Have only got positives for Ashbourne and would definitely recommend it.

We are really happy with Ashbourne. My child is always very happy to go to nursery. There is a good variety of toys for the children to play with indoors and outside. I’m unsure on what learning activities are done with the children, it would be good to know more about this because my child is keen to learn.

My daughter loves going to nursery. She always gets excited to go. The staff are all wonderful and I feel like they really know her. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. I am confident and happy leaving her there.

It's a great friendly environment, that always supports the parents and children's needs. My son also has a dietary requirement, and they were very good at adapting to his needs. They go the extra mile to make sure the child is happy.

My son has been going to this nursery for over a year now and really enjoys the time he spends there. He has amazing relationships with the members of staff, they are very understanding and caring people. The nursery has a garden area which my son loves to play in especially the little house, and he has a great time getting involved in the different activities they do every day indoors too. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking - we previously used a much larger nursery and the difference is very noticeable in the standards of care, development, and staff - they are impeccable at Ashbourne!

I am amazed how well my daughter has settled in during such a strange time, she has become more sociable and confident since starting nursery. Due to Covid lockdown, she was very clingy and shy but the Room Leader has been lovely and worked hard to help her settle in.

My daughter has been at Ashbourne nursery just over 2 years now. She has recently increased her days/hours and she thoroughly enjoys it there. It has a lovely community feel and all the staff are so hard working and friendly!
