Habla Day Nursery

Habla Bilingual Day Nursery is Wirral's only Bilingual Day Nursery. The setting has both Spanish and English practitioners, giving children the opportunity to learn to speak both languages by they time they leave for school.

As is required of all nurseries, Habla's curriculum follows the EYFS however the difference at Habla is that this is delivered in both English and Spanish. Children therefore naturally learn to speak both languages through play and interaction with the staff and each other. Being in a bilingual setting also has other benefits for children's development e.g. research suggests it helps with problem solving, early reading, cognitive development and much more.

Habla is a family run nursery registered with Ofsted in September 2017 for 31 children between 6 months and 5 years. The nursery is open from 7:30am-6pm for 51 weeks a year. The three main rooms for babies, toddlers and preschool are well equipped with a variety of resources. Children also benefit from a state of the art sensory room and outdoor area including separate baby garden.

Children at Habla enjoy a variety of extra weekly activities including yoga and dance. They also regularly go on trips to the park and local library as well as further afield to the farm or museum.

All meals are freshly prepared on site and the menu follows guidance from the Children's Food Trust and has been compiled with the help of a nutritionist.

At Habla you can expect that your child will receive the highest level of care and early years education that will give them an excitement for learning and prepare them for school. However, in addition they will leave speaking Spanish and having benefited from being in a bilingual environment.
