The toddler is always kept busy and excited and there is never a shortage of cuddles whenever he needs one. He loves all the staff and whenever I collect him, anyone can fill me in on his day even if they are not his assigned key worker because they are just like a family and all very familiar with the children, and this goes for the baby unit too.
My baby started at just 4months and has been 100% loved and nurtured there ever since. They even teach me how to settle him gently!
I would think any little ones lucky enough to attend this safe, caring and exciting little nursery will be so so happy!
My toddler would like to add “I love it!” when I asked him his opinion, that’s straight from the horse's mouth!
The manager and the team at Orchard House are wonderful and have provided a loving, caring, stimulating and family-like environment for my eldest child for over three years and my youngest for the last six months. We could not be happier with our choice of nursery - from the baby unit leader and another staff member in the baby room happily following our wishes around sleeping and weaning (and giving out lots of cuddles) to the deputy manager and another member of staff working out creative ways to stimulate toddlers in the nursery room (with day trips, cookery lessons and encouraging a love of reading) and to prepare them for school. In fact, all of the staff are just brilliant - without exception - and we are very grateful to them for everything they do for our children (and the enthusiasm with which they do it), both of whom are extremely happy at Orchard House.
I have sent both my children to Orchard House and I can't recommend it enough. A lot of the staff have been at Orchard House for years, and are fantastic with babies and older children. My daughter (who left for school last year) formed close bonds with the staff and other children and was always happy and excited to be going to nursery. My son is in the baby room and settled in very quickly due to the loving environment. He is always extremely happy and contented when I pick him up.
When he first started there he was very very shy, all the staff have helped build his confidence through interactive play and learning.
I have never in the two years had any issues or concerns with the nursery but I'm sure if I did they would be dealt with straight away.
I have always felt that my son is safe and happy here, so much so my daughter (baby) will also be attending soon.

Donna holds a degree in childcare and has over 20 years experience in teaching and day care management. She has extensive experience in behaviour management and children with special needs.
Daniela has a degree in Social Sciences and is passionate about children, positive parenting, travelling and cooking. She recently started leading Orchard House's weekly cooking class.
Sarah holds a level 3 diploma in childcare and is a qualified Forest school leader. She is passionate about nature and how child-led outdoor play encourages self esteem and child development
Hannah holds a level 3 childcare diploma and has over 10 years experience working with babies. She is passionate about attachment parenting and believes it is important for babies to develop strong bonds with their carers.
