The Wendy House Day Nursery comprises two settings near Birmingham accommodating c.240 children, both of which have been rated 'outstanding'. The Lynwood setting is located close to the picturesque Lickey Hills.

The Wendy House has recently won two prestigious industry awards. In 2016 the nursery won Business Development Initiative of the Year, awarded by Nursery World Magazine, for its excellent work in Foundation Unit, the nursery’s dedicated pre-school environment.

In 2017 the nursery was awarded the highest possible accolade, Nursery of the Year - Central, by the National Day Nurseries Association.   

The nursery is structured around six rooms, each of which is age appropriate and offers a stimulating environment that has been set up taking into consideration the 7 areas of learning. Staff training and planning focuses around the six rooms, to which the key person structure is also aligned, to ensure maximum emphasis on delivery of the best possible outcomes for all children.

Amy qualified in 2000 and has been working with young children for 16 years as a practitioner in nursery environments and as a nanny. Amy is passionate about giving children the best possible start in life. She has worked in charity nurseries for Action for Children in socially deprived areas, where the nursery environment is critical to children’s wellbeing and development. She recognises the importance of early years education in building a firm foundation, and she passes on this passion to the staff she works with across both settings.
Amy is a valued member of the management team and is a safe pair of hands to manage the Lynwood setting.
