About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 51 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 51 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.4 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

It is a wonderful nursery - with no outdoor space they take the children round to the local park every day often twice - and they gain so much from that in itself.
The team area AMAZING - so many team member who have been with us for our entire journey which we think represents a great working environment as there is limited turnover. We are very sad to be leaving but so very grateful that they have been a part of our children's early education and care.

Blue Pear has helped me raise my three children. The people who work there genuinely love and appreciate our children. They even helped identify a foot problem that needed treatment in my first daughter, and helped her complete regular physio exercises. Our children feel cared for and happy in their environments in everything from baby room, to toddlers to preschool. My daughter who now attends school is now top of her class, possibly the mix of gentle instruction, play and responsibility taught at Blue Pear. I recommend Blue Pear to anyone who needs a nursery and know that my professional life has been made so much easier by being able to trust the care that Blue Pear provides is stimulating, fun, caring and educational for all my kids at every stage. Thank you Blue Pear!
My daughter started at Blue Pear in the baby room. She is now leaving to start school in September and we can't quite believe it's been 4 years, and she will starting reception in a few weeks. The staff at Blue Pear have always made us feel that they really care for our daughter and putting her...
All of the staff were wonderful, the chefs always made yummy food, the play activities were always so imaginative and kindness that everyone showed has been amazing, we are really going to miss everyone, thank you so much.

Our son attended Blue Pear from the age of 13 months to 4 and a half. We couldn't have been happier with the nursery - he was nurtured and cared for by all the members of staff and it felt like a second home to him. The learning, playing and socialising experiences for him were all fantastic and we felt so happy and reassured that he was being looked after so well every day. We loved that they spent time in the community so often, accessing the local green spaces. The menu was also fantastic - offering a wide range of healthy meals and snacks.

Noah (now leaving for primary school) and Keira (still happily attending) have both flourished here. The staff have helped shape them into the wonderful little people they are today.
A special thank you to Isabelle, whose warmth, patience and empathy helped Noah come out of his shell, and to Dawnie, whose professionalism, kindness and calm leadership make her someone every parent hopes their child has. Natasha and Sarah have also been incredibly supportive, especially during a difficult time for our family.
Every child is truly known, valued and loved. Blue Pear hasn't just cared for my children-it has helped raise them. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

My daughter had a wonderful experience in the pre school room at Blue Pear. The range of activities across the week was impressive, you could tell that every day had been planned with great care and creativity. She gained a lot from the beautiful space but also from the trips out. The menu was varied and healthy and she always enjoyed the food. The staff were attentive and enthusiastic and she really loved spending time with them. She built lovely relationships with them and the other children. Communication and organisation was great overall. We were sad to say goodbye but she was also very ready for school; the balance of free play with more structure developmental learning activities was great preparation for joining reception.

My daughter went to Blue Pear Day Nursery for almost two years after starting at Childminder. The team made her feel really welcome and she settled really quickly. The team are brilliant at creating a very positive culture for the children which results in good behaviour and a calm atmosphere. The kids are also very caring towards each other. The quality of learning is very high with a good amount of practice in phonics, numbers and wider learning. They are very thoughtful in putting on special events which welcome parents and guardians into the preschool. There's no outdoor space but the team take children to the library every day. Altogether, very pleased with our experience at Blue Pear.
Thank you for your detailed review, wishing your child all the best at school.
My son has had a great experience at Blue Pear Day Nursery , he made many friends, grew his confidence and learned loads! He is more than prepared to start big school thanks to the great routine you have at the nursery. It's great that the app was used as I was up to date with his schedule that...
However, I must say, if your child is on a funded place, they're not involved with certain events i.e Christmas lunch/ sports day which I don't think is fair for any child to miss out!
Thank you for your review. However you may have been misinformed about funded only children not being able to attend events, as all children are included with events at the nursery. Thank you for your review. However you may have been misinformed about funded only children not being able to attend events, as all children are included with events at the nursery. Sometimes when a child is not scheduled to attend on a particular day they may miss out on certain events. We try to accommodate extra sessions on these days where possible, however unfortunately we do not have the capacity for all children on roll to attend on one particular day.

They get outside twice a day consistently and I liked that baby room just had six spaces, it was a very nurturing, calm environment for my son to start off in. He and we have made friends for life through the other kids and families. Communication always great and lovely atmosphere throughout. Absolutely recommend.

My child has been attending Blue Pear Day Nursery and Pre-School for over a year, where his development has been incredible. They have an holistic approach to teaching, often using a variety of resources to educate children to make learning more fun and interactive. Parents are kept in the loop with their child's progress through an online system which gives us an insight of their daily activities as well as being informative and photos are accompanied with a detailed write up. Also, what stood out to me is that this nursery teaches my son life skills such as pouring his own water, helped improve his co-ordination, scraping his plate after lunch and also have a cleaning station present where they can clean their faces. Not only has this encouraged my child to be independent but they have successfully prepared my child for school ensuring the transition is as smooth as possible. Staff are friendly. Overall cannot fault this nursery. Thank you for doing such a great job!

Very happy with the members of the staff and my daughter has loved her time at the nursery. The staff have always been very kind in helping in every possible way to help the little ones reach their goals to get them ready for school.
