My little girl has done her first year at Country Mice and I've been extremely happy with all the staff, they are all so welcoming and friendly, always smiling. They have been extremely supportive and always have time to listen when I've needed their support. My daughter settled really quickly which
was a surprise as she's never been left before outside of friends or family, so the fact she settled within a couple of weeks was amazing (she did 2 morning's a week). When I pick her up she comes out very happy and looks forward to going back. I can't recommend Country Mice enough. My son will be starting in September and I'm excited to see how he thrives too.

My child has been attending this nursary for the past year. Previously she was at a couple of other nurseries. Nothing has compared to how incredible this nurary and the staff has been. There are the same members of staff, with no huge staff turn over. They are all incredibly skilled at there job and
accommodating to all requests of needs. My child has SEND needs, and nothing is too much for them to accommodate, support and welcome her. It really is a brilliant setting with incredible staff.

We have absolutely loved our time at Country Mice pre-school. They've shown nothing but love, kindness and support to my boy. He's thrived and flourished there. Would highly recommend this setting for a more intimate family vibe.

Country Mice is genuinely such a special place - full of joy and special people! - and the care and attention which my daughter has received is second-to-none.

The team are amazing, patient, full of knowledge and I actually feel like they genuinely love and care for each child, it's not just a job

that pays the bills to them.

The atmosphere is wonderful, it's colourful there is a huge amount of equipment for the children to play with. The activities staff organise for the children are really fun and exciting.

My daughter has now finished her time at Country Mice and I'm absolutely gutted I love this nursery it brings me to tears.

Without a doubt i highly recommend Country Mice at Cowfold.

Our son started at country mice just after he turned 2 and has just finished ready for big school. He has enjoyed every single moment. Us as parents would recommend Country Mice to everyone , the staff are incredible always going above and beyond for the children, parents / carers. The setting is beautiful
with the most wonderful range of things to suit each and every child.
Best nursery around by far! Thank you to the amazing team for taking such good care of our son over the years.

Both of my children (11 and 4) have attended this nursery and on both of their durations spent here, it has been fantastic. The staff are really great and engaging with the children. Lovely outdoor play areas with different sensory stations to explore. The nursery is always clean and well-kept. My child
really enjoys his time here, which is reassuring for me to know he feels safe and happy. Can not recommend this place enough!

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Country Mice Nursery. I have been very happy throughout the four years of care they have offered my two children. All the staff are very friendly, and both children have enjoyed their time at nursery. The nursery ate organised and creative with its topic themes and
activities. Children are able to learn and have fun in a safe environment.

Country Mice Nursery is a wonderful local nursery with caring and enthusiastic staff. The support and individual feedback our child has received is really beneficial in his learning and developmental progress. The activities are varied and clearly follow a well-thought-out curriculum. Our child’s happiness
and well-being are paramount with any issues raised quickly and professionally, which allay any concerns we have as parents. We will definitely be sending our second child to the nursery and would recommend to friends, family and anyone without hesitation!

Country Mice Nursery is a fantastic place for two to five year olds'. The staff are very caring, very fun and work exceedingly hard to pitch activities so your child is engaged, learns loads but above all loves and wants to attend nursery. My older son was very well prepared for school but only ever
though he was playing. My younger son is really well looked after.

We have been fortunate enough to have two children go to Country Mice Nursery over the last few years and both of them have enjoyed every minute of their time there. For our first child, it was all about developing social interaction skills with other children ahead of school. She felt happy from day
one and met some amazing children and made some hopefully, lifelong friends. It's testament to the manager and staff's ability to make an environment that the children relax into and they are promoted to be kind to one another. For our second child, it has been about helping develop his speech and learning to carry out tasks ready for his start of school. He was behind other children by quite some way but the nursery have always been supportive and helping him immensely. We never felt judged as parents. We'd happily recommend Country Mice Nursery to anyone thinking about sending their child there.

Country Mice Nursery is a warm and friendly nursery environment that my children really look forward to attending. Its small size means that all of the staff know all of the children really well and can tailor activities to individual interests. It has very close links with a local primary school, acting
as an after school club as well as a nursery, making the transition from school to nursery really easy. The staff are kind and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for quality childcare.

I started sending my first child here in 2017 and still have children here. The staff are so friendly, approachable and with the recent pandemic especially, I could not fault them. They have gone above and beyond with keeping the children safe and secure and I have felt more than comfortable leaving
my little ones in their care. They work very hard with keeping in touch with us as parents but most importantly the children love it here and can't wait for their next session every time. I will be sending my little girl here too when she is old enough. Great little setting.

Country Mice is a small, friendly nursery setting. The staff are friendly and welcoming to children and staff and are always available to chat before and after nursery. My daughter loves going and gets on well with all the staff and children. They do lots of outdoor activities and have recently had
a trip to a nearby farm.
A small setting so staff know all the children well. A huge advantage that they take children as young as 2 and offer before and after school club.

My children are happy here - when I come to pick them up, I can hear them laughing way before I see their smiling faces. I took my children out of one nursery and chose to put them in the care of Country Mice, I have never regretted that choice. I feel a huge gratitude to all the fabulous staff who
make it what is, and for giving my children such a wonderful pre-school experience.

I love Country Mice. The outdoor space is great and the kids are really happy and stimulated. My son has been at Country Mice since he was 2 and he is starting school in September. He can already read and spell! I am sure this has a lot to do with the attention he gets, particularly from his keyworker
who is brilliant. The staff are great at nurturing my son, whilst setting clear boundaries that have helped so much with his naughty antics! We will really miss coming to Country mice. I would heartily recommend it to everyone!

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.500)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.500) out of 10 for Country Mice Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Country Mice Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 57 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Country Mice Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 22 number of registered child places is 4.4, which has been reached with 5 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
