Ocean Day Nursery provides everything children require throughout the day, including freshly prepared meals, snacks, nappies, and milk. Staff carefully cater for all allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements. The nursery has achieved the Healthy Snack Award Gold Plus standard, recognising a commitment to healthy, nutritious choices.
Children enjoy daily access to the secure outdoor garden, including opportunities for planting, water play, exploration and imaginative play. Older children also benefit from regular visits to Mambo’s Play Centre as part of their learning experiences.
The nursery has experience supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN), creating an inclusive environment where every child’s individual development, communication and wellbeing are valued.
Funded childcare is available for eligible 3–4 year olds, including the 30 hours funded childcare offer.
All staff are fully qualified, Paediatric First Aid trained and committed to providing safe, responsive and engaging care. Experienced managers are available on site throughout the day to support children and families.
Free parking is available for drop-offs and collections within the Mambo Play Centre car park.

I am so pleased we took the decision to place our son with Ocean Day Nursery. My son has been at the nursery since May 2018 and we have been so pleased with the care and attention the team give our son. He has had such a great experience since joining. Our son has made such great progress, from building his confidence to making great friendships.
He has such a smile on his face when going into the nursery and when I pick him up at the end of the day. The girls all have a great relationship with him and I can’t thank them enough for putting my mind at ease going to work, knowing he is in such good hands. I really can’t recommend the nursery and the team enough!

Our son finished his time with Ocean Day Nursery at the end of August and has started reception in his new school. The staff have looked after him since he was 9 months old so that alone is testament to how much we rate them. We've shared milestones along the way and they have always been happy to work with us and offer help. The staff are always fantastic and he built a strong bond with them which meant we were never concerned he wasn't enjoying his time there. They really brought out the best in him - we've watched him grow from a shy baby to a confident little boy who can easily settle into new situations. The nursery is attached to a soft play centre so during quiet periods the kids can go and play down there if they are unable to go into the enclosed garden area, which they do whenever they can.
The food on offer is varied and accommodated to suit allergies, dietary requirements, etc and every child is encouraged to try and 'eat the rainbow' with a few treats included for good balance.

Our daughter joined Ocean Day after we had been unhappy with her settling at another. We were immediately put at ease during registration. Our daughter spent over a year here and the staff are outstanding. Particularly one lady, who always carried out the handover with genuine interest and care. Other nurseries will often just tell you if they’ve eaten and that they were ok. She would every day tell me about funny little things that she did, that we had missed out on. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.

My daughter has been with Ocean Day Nursery since she was 6-months-old and I can’t recommend the nursery and it’s highly dedicated staff enough. The team are amazing and have been integral to her development over the last few years. The premises are extremely clean, and safety is a high priority. Both my daughter and I love this place and watching her skip in daily, re-enact scenarios with her dolls, and take pride in her achievements from the day gives me reassurance that I made the right choice.

My grandson loves nursery, he gets very excited when I pick him up and when I say to him we are going to nursery. We feel he has become a really happy boy and he settled in excellently. So much so my youngest will be starting there in 2 weeks at 8 months old and I am very happy that he will enjoy his day just as much as my 2 yr old!

My son has attended Ocean Day Nursery for the past 12 months and he will now move to start his academic journey which leaves us all very sad. Will still use the nursery for half term. We moved to this nursery from a city centre one as they were much more flexible to accommodate my requirements than other nurseries more local to us. It was totally worth the change we did. My son has never loved going to nursery before as much as he does now. Their help with potty training was fundamental. His English has improved immensely also (it is not our main language at home) and he goes on and on about his days at the nursery and talks a lot about one member of the team, in particular! We will miss her very much. I do recommend this nursery to everyone. And the perk of attending the adventure play centre every other day is definitely a great benefit.

My son has been attending Ocean Day Nursery since March 2018 and I couldn't recommend them enough. He settled in really well with and has built some really nice relationships with the staff. Since he's been there he has come on leaps and bounds from his eating to talking and general learning and development. He has also enjoyed crafts including painting and making mother's day and father's day cards which has been a lovely touch. I would recommend this nursery to friends and family.

We have used Ocean Day Nursery since April 2017 and we are sad that our daughter will be leaving this August as she starts her school nursery journey. We have had the best experience with Ocean Day that our daughter asks to go every day. The activities provided from messy play to role play are hugely enjoyed by our daughter. Her ability to count in English and Welsh is impressive! The care and encouragement we have received we no doubt have a little girl ready to take her next step all thanks to Ocean Day Nursery. We recommend Ocean Day 100%, even though we have our daughter leaving preschool we have secured our place for our little boy to join babies in October. So we are very excited to start his journey with Ocean Day Nursery!!

My son started at Ocean Day as what I can describe as a velcro baby. He now loves going and really thrives with the amazing staff. It didn't take him long to come out of his shell and show the boy we all see at home. The staff accommodated his needs and allowed him to move into toddlers earlier than planned. To sneak a peak through the door and see him playing happily is unbelievable. The staff also put up with my phoning every 5mins to check he was doing ok in the first few weeks!
Amazing staff and amazing nursery. Highly recommended!

My child has attended this nursery for coming up to a year now and the progress that she has made by attending here is amazing, she now knows how to count to 10 in Welsh and can count to 15 in English. She always comes home with a smile on her face and she is also very happy to come back to nursery every day. We are very grateful for the time and effort they put towards her and would happily recommend this nursery to anyone that asks. The nursery provides me with lots of information so I know how well she has done that day and know how much food she is having, also what she has enjoyed that day. Thank you for looking after my child she loves playing at nursery.
