At Halstead St Andrew's they strive to inspire every child to develop into a confident, well educated and good mannered individual with an enthusiasm for learning whilst also maintaining their own very special character.

Halstead St Andrew's provides a lovely community home from home feel for all their families. The nursery provides care and education for children aged from two years and all of the staff are highly trained and experienced in the Early Years Sector. Early drop off (Breakfast Club) and late pick up (After School Care) are available.

They are located in a leafy road in Woking, very close to the main train station.

They offer specialist teacher input in PE, Performing Arts, Outdoor Learning, Music and French in Pre-School as part of the rich Early Years curriculum. They were rated ‘Excellent’ in every aspect at their last ISI Inspection (June 2022).

Snacks and nutritious lunches, prepared onsite, are all included.

The team recognise that very often both parents work and as such require nursery provision for their child to be available for the majority of the calendar year. They have, therefore, extended their Nursery provision. During term time the children will continue to participate in specialist lessons including PE, Music, Performing Arts and Outdoor Learning. In school holidays Nursery Plus will offer weekly themes, including daily activities covering all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Nursery Plus opens 8am – 5.00pm in the holidays and parents are able to sign up to the full extended 46 week provision or book days in advance.

My daughter is currently at nursery at Halstead and I also have an older daughter who has been at the nursery.


I am extremely pleased with how my daughter has settled at Halstead, and how happy and stimulated she is.


The team at Halstead are very knowledgeable about early years education, they're

warm and caring. She is already learning her phonics, numbers and writing, as well as about the world which gives her an excellent start in school. I love the fact that she has specialised teaching in areas like PE, gym, drama and music.


The food provision is great as its part of the wider school. She has made lovely friends, as have I as a parent, and every day she comes back with a smile on her face, with different things that she's made, with songs she's learned and a sense of achievement if she's been the helping hand or achieved something new and got a sticker.


I think Halstead is a wonderful nursery and school, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

My daughter and I love this school. My daughter started just after her second birthday, she has thrived in this environment with the help of all the wonderful staff. Very well planned and thought out activities which use their imagination and all skills. My daughter is very happy here and is very well
settled. She attends three days each week but would happily attend every day! I have nothing but praise for this school.

Excellent school, my daughter loves every moment being there.
When my daughter was unwell, the school team helped her giving medication (with In School Medication Parent consent) and very well looked after her.
I am very pleased with the amazing teaching team and the lovely staff, who work very hard
week in, week out to give the students their very best.
Progress is monitored here at all levels. Good communication.
My daughter has learnt several things here and has made brilliant progress.
Thanks to the school team for everything.
And especially thanks to the school headmistress for her effective leadership.
Overall, a positive school culture and a hallmark of academics, sports and arts.
Definitely a 5-star.

We've had a wonderful experience at Halstead. My daughter loves it and all the teachers have been so supportive and kind. I can't recommend it highly enough. The other girls and families have all been so friendly too.
