My daughter loves it here. In fact, during the holidays, she really does miss it and always talks about it! She is extremely happy here and has made lots of friends. My daughter is well looked after and I feel at ease knowing she's in safe hands throughout the day whilst in a caring, stimulating educational environment where she can flourish and play. They have specialist classes i.e. gymnastics and music, as well as following an enriched early years curriculum which includes phonics, writing, numbers, topics etc. The teachers and staff are all amazing, super friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The nursery is extremely clean and well organised with designated learning/play areas and a large garden/school grounds to explore. Outdoor play, whatever the weather, is always encouraged which stimulates creativity, curiosity and Independence and connects them with nature. The lunches are also amazing; my daughter now eats a more varied diet since attending here. I highly recommend Halstead Preparatory School for Girls!
My daughter is currently at nursery at Halstead and I also have an older daughter who has been at the nursery.
I am extremely pleased with how my daughter has settled at Halstead, and how happy and stimulated she is.
The team at Halstead are very knowledgeable about early years education, they're warm and caring. She is already learning her phonics, numbers and writing, as well as about the world which gives her an excellent start in school. I love the fact that she has specialised teaching in areas like PE, gym, drama and music.
The food provision is great as its part of the wider school. She has made lovely friends, as have I as a parent, and every day she comes back with a smile on her face, with different things that she's made, with songs she's learned and a sense of achievement if she's been the helping hand or achieved something new and got a sticker.
I think Halstead is a wonderful nursery and school, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
My daughter and I love this school. My daughter started just after her second birthday, she has thrived in this environment with the help of all the wonderful staff. Very well planned and thought out activities which use their imagination and all skills. My daughter is very happy here and is very well settled. She attends three days each week but would happily attend every day! I have nothing but praise for this school.
When my daughter was unwell, the school team helped her giving medication (with In School Medication Parent consent) and very well looked after her.
I am very pleased with the amazing teaching team and the lovely staff, who work very hard week in, week out to give the students their very best.
Progress is monitored here at all levels. Good communication.
My daughter has learnt several things here and has made brilliant progress.
Thanks to the school team for everything.
And especially thanks to the school headmistress for her effective leadership.
Overall, a positive school culture and a hallmark of academics, sports and arts.

We've had a wonderful experience at Halstead. My daughter loves it and all the teachers have been so supportive and kind. I can't recommend it highly enough. The other girls and families have all been so friendly too.
