Buckingham First Nursery

Such a warm, caring and calm nursery. Everyone is so kind and really pays attention to the details to share a little about how their day has been when you pick them up. My son was very well looked after. They do lots of fun learning experiences, like teaching the children to brush their teeth as well as the usual painting, sensory and water play. They even throw a special Christmas party for the little ones. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to look after him.

Warm, friendiy atmosphere, quality, personalised service. The nursery staff work together with me on development milestones for my child. I'm comfortable leaving my child in a safe place and in capable hands which this nursery offers.

A home away from home. When I first saw this nursery many years ago (not long after it first opened), I knew this was the one for my child. The baby room is beautifully set up and clear progression to the next room and finally the preschool room. There is a family ethos which comes across from management and all the practitioners and support staff. There is good communication and the updates at handover and more recently online via an app were excellent at updating us on how our children’s day was. We loved it so much we sent all 3 of our children to this nursery and were extremely sad to leave once my last child started school because of the family feel, care and affection shown towards my children. I never had to worry about them as I always knew they were in good hands. My children are still good friends with some of their friends from nursery and still talk about their nursery days. You won’t find a better place!

I would highly recommend Buckingham first, the fact that we commuted from Watford at the beginning proves how good this nursery is and the wonderful team that works there.

I can’t recommend this nursery enough.

My son has been at Buckingham First Nursery for almost two years, and has loved it from the beginning. He has been supported all the way through and has developed so quickly since joining. He has built great friendships with the other children and adores the staff. He doesn't like change, so when transitioning between age groups, the staff helped him handle it by prepping him early and working with him to build up to handovers between rooms and key workers. They are truly invested in his growth, always give us in-depth updates at pick-up, and collaborate with us to ensure he continues making strides both in nursery and at home. We're so grateful for all they have done and continue to do for him, and will definitely be sending our second to Buckingham First as well!

Our little boy has been attending Buckingham First Nursery for 6 months plus now and we are absolutely delighted with our choice of nursery. It is indeed outstanding. There's a lovely environment where it's obvious that the child's welfare, happiness and development are their main priorities. He enjoys every day spent there and has learnt lots of new skills. When I pick him up, he is always playing happily and has a big smile on his face. There is a real family atmosphere at the nursery and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We are very, very happy here. Thank you for going above and beyond for our son!

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. Our whole experience was excellent. The staff are wonderful, and really made my son, who was anxious about being away from me, quickly feel at home. His confidence grew and he developed and learnt so much. The staff work very hard to create a caring and nurturing environment. They put so much attention to detail in every activity and everything was well thought out and planned. They were also very good at communicating, giving regular updates on how my child was getting on. The end-of-day handovers were also very detailed, which I really appreciated. My son was definitely ready for school, thanks to their support. He really enjoyed his time there. I can't thank them enough!

My twins have been at Buckingham First Nursery for one year and have just moved from Little Elms to Rising Pines. I am so glad we chose to send them here as they thoroughly enjoy their nursery days and are thriving, even more, having increased them from three to four days a week. It has been a wonderful place for my twins to develop their communication skills and become confident toddlers. The staff provide a safe, warm, calm and nurturing environment and tailor themselves to the needs of each child, which is great. As a parent, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and provide good feedback at the end of the nursery day. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

If I could give this nursery 10 stars, I would! Both of my girls attended from baby birch to rising pines. When we were looking at nurseries over five years ago, we just knew that this was the one. It became a second home for our girls and they absolutely loved it. The girls learnt so much and I am thankful for the staff for that. You can really see the love and care that goes into the way they teach and care for the children. The communication with parents is excellent too. My girls also loved the food here, so much so that they would have seconds. The management are so lovely, you could not find more wholesome people. We love this place so much, that our third child will be starting here soon.

Both of my children attended Buckingham First Nursery from The Baby Birch Room to Rising Pines. We have had a relationship with this nursery for the last 5 years. Both of my children formed great attachments with both the staff and other children at the nursery. You are never comfortable leaving your children anywhere but dropping them off felt like leaving them with family. The love, attention and development invested in each child is evident. We will all miss being part of the Buckingham First Family!

I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone!

My youngest joined at just 6 months old and really benefited from a big and bright room full of sensory things. He left a very confident little boy. My eldest child really enjoyed all the activities in his room and especially enjoyed when the nursery organised special events like someone coming in with different small animals. The nursery helped with our potty training and with their help once we started it was finished within a couple of weeks.

I would recommend this nursery to everyone!

The biggest compliment I can give them is that they have given my son a love of school and education that will stay with him for life.

Buckingham First Nursery has been an amazing nursery for our daughter. She started when she was eleven months and as first-time parents, we are grateful for all the love and care Buckingham First Nursery has given our daughter and us which has made our first transition away from our daughter so reassuring. She really enjoyed her time there and really bonded well with all the staff. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. It is remarkable how much Buckingham First Nursery has taught our daughter over the past year. We are really sad to leave Buckingham First Nursery due to a house move otherwise this would have been a perfect nursery for her to continue attending. We will definitely miss everyone at Buckingham First Nursery and will be back to visit whenever we're in the area!

I moved my son here from another nursery just before his 3rd birthday (swiftly followed by his 1-year-old sister) and it was the best decision I made. All the staff and practitioners are incredibly welcoming. Walking into Buckingham First Nursery is like being enveloped in a warm hug - they felt like an extended family. Every day I left my children feeling confident knowing they will be happy and engaged with a variety of activities throughout the day. Staff listen to the children and their interests and theme activities around this. When we had behaviour issues with my son as he settled in, the room teachers were incredibly understanding and helped us to work through the problems in the most supportive way. The only reason we left is that we moved out of the area and we couldn't take all the staff with us! I cannot recommend Buckingham First nursery enough.

My son has been going to Buckingham first since he turned one and he has flourished in such a warm and caring environment. From starting in the lovely sensory orientated baby birch room, he has since moved into the bright and airy downstairs rooms with fun outdoor spaces and ever-changing activities. The owners of the nursery are professional but warm and inviting, with great communication skills and what I feel is a very honest and transparent approach to early education and the facilities and staff provided. If there is ever a problem or concern, the owners and management have always been on hand to offer a solution. The other parents and children are lovely, and it makes for a great nursery I would definitely recommend to others. I think their rates are reasonable for the service they provide, and always seem to find and keep their nursery staff for long periods of time, a testament to the services provided.
