Kido Clerkenwell

Our son attended Kido Clerkenwell between April 2019 and March 2021. We have recently made the sad decision to move him out of the nursery as we have moved too far away for the commute to be practical. We were extremely fortunate in that for the majority of his time at Kido Clerkenwell my son had the same fantastic key worker, as well as two other members of staff who were all superb and obviously really cared for him. My son loved going into nursery and was a nightmare coming home, which speaks wonders. They planned lots of excellent activities which had a great focus on learning. The facilities are excellent, in particular the back garden, which is huge and really hard to find in central London. The meals were all freshly prepared to a high standard. It’s also been great to see a member of staff promoted to the nursery manager role as her enthusiasm for Kido Clerkenwell and the kids is contagious. Our only feedback would be to try to nurture a bit more of a community between the parents.

We have been very happy with Kido Clerkenwell. Our daughter started at seven months and quickly settled in due to the kindness and warmth that all the staff showed her. It made returning to work that much easier. Our daughter has continued to thrive there due to their support and guidance. The activities are age appropriate and engaging for our daughter. We receive lots of daily information with photos and helpful development points to work on at home with her. Kido Clerkenwell has been fantastic during the pandemic and we felt safe sending her there during the second and third lockdown, so I could do my job as a teacher.

My daughter went to Kido nursery for over a year since she was 11 months old. The nursery itself "ticks all the boxes" as for being a well-established place for childcare, but what made it exceptional is the modern energetic and open-minded atmosphere and at the same time a place with warm and caring staff, so essential for the development of little ones. Two of her teachers were brilliant, and our daughter misses them very much. It is a Covid-safe place, which respects all the safety standards. One caveat is that since the pandemic the opening hours are in fact reduced (from 8:20-17:20 for our group). Nonetheless, we are very sorry to have to change nurseries because of our move because we were very satisfied with it.

I cannot recommend Safari Kid more highly.

Our 2 year old son loves his time at nursery (even if it's still a bit hard for him to say goodbye in the morning he's always in good spirit when we pick him up). The carers are attentive and there's room for children to be themselves which is something that was very important for us. There are always new activities and he tends to return full of glitter, colours, sand or other remnants from his daily activities which we love. The space is not overwhelming as some nurseries tend to be and the toys allow room for the children's imagination. We also had to request many substitute foods during meals and snacks due to allergies and the nursery was very helpful and accommodating, which we know can be very challenging when dealing with a large group and was extremely helpful.

Staff are always welcoming and adore the children.

It is a very new nursery so everything is very clean and modern - on the flip-side, there are still items that need to be worked out until they get things perfectly right.

I highly recommend this happy, clean, up-to-date nursery. My two and a half year old looks forward to going, making me much calmer about leaving him while I work. The staff are all friendly and loving. They track your child’s activities and developmental milestones in pictures you can assess on the nursery app. Our warm welcome is always a balm on a hectic morning. We are so pleased to have found Safari Nursery!

I am very satisfied with this nursery. Our son started going to the Safari Kid Clerkenwell in September 2018 and since the beginning, we knew it was the perfect environment for him. This is the reason why in January our daughter started going to the Safari Kid as well. The staff is very gentle and experienced and in general, it is a very caring environment. Our experience of the nursery has been great so far. I definitely recommend it to others!

I did find this nursery the most suitable for my baby. For me, it was important not just to tick the review box but to have an actually bright, well ventilated and full of light facilities. They have really nice facilities that have been run by nice and what is important, really responsible staff. My baby is learning a lot in the days she attends and suprises us in evenings with dances and songs she have learned.

But above all that, what I found best about Safari Kid is the quality of the caregivers and teachers. Everyone was passionate about their job and treated it as more than a job. I can trust them completely to give their best to my child. I love it that it is a place where the kids and the staff feel very much at home and they truly work as a team. Sometimes the higher management that do not work on the ground and deal directly with the children and parents can feel rather aloof and unsympathetic, I often find that can be overlooked in light of quality of the direct caregivers.

Excellent, friendly and engaging nursery with a varied programme for the children and very attentive team.

Our toddler has been attending nursery at Safari Kid Clerkenwell for a few months on a part-time basis. He is loving it there and throws himself into the arms of the staff (the ones he knows) at drop-off time in the morning. Super happy with the setup, especially the well-managed, fast and easy drop-off and pick-up.

Although babies occasionally lose pairs of socks I still think it’s a very good nursery and definitely recommended to my friends.

Fantastic nursery with wonderful teachers! The best really in Islington (I’ve been to many before we chose Safari). Everyday activities are thoroughly planned and very stimulating/educational for the kids including music, foreign language classes and many more. My boy absolutely loves coming to Safari and I love it even more. Many thanks!

Amazing care balanced with a top education. I have a baby and a toddler with them and the team know my children inside out.

First and foremost my child is happy to go to Safari kid every day. She really likes the teachers and what she does there. From a parent point of view, the nursery is very good. The activities that are proposed and the teaching are excellent. Children are positively stimulated.

Our daughter is attending the nursery for a year and she loves it. We are very happy with this nursery which provides an amazing environment for kids.

We are very happy with Safari Kid nursery and my son loves it here. After moving countries, the Safari staff has been a great help making my son feel at home in London, from the settling in phase to transitions to other groups, and resolving his picky eating habits. Doesn't matter who I talk to, the staff members are all friendly, communicate clearly about any upcoming changes, and are listening to feedback. We couldn't be happier.
