The Preschool at Rowan Preparatory School provides a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for girls. Highly qualified and specialist Early Years teachers provide an enhanced play-based curriculum, encouraging investigation and exploration.

Their purpose-built facilities provide the perfect home from home setting, with access to dedicated outdoor play and learning areas and a large outdoor playground. Forest school, gymnastics, music and French classes are all part of the weekly timetable.

    Breakfast Club is available from 7.45am at £6 per session.


    Afterschool Club is available every day from 3.15pm - 4pm, 4-5pm and 5-6pm (except Friday) and is charged at £7 per session.

Since our little girl came to this beautiful preparatory school, she has developed immensely in confidence, self-esteem and courage.
We are very happy with the teachers and the whole school team and their engagement and care for our little girl. She is learning rapidly. The facilities are very good,
and she loves to go to her school and play with her friends. The whole school gives one a beautiful feeling of being part of a caring family.

Nurturing, fun and just bursting with happy girls. We've had a great experience at the nursery at Rowan. My daughter is engaged and entertained every day, and this is impressive because each activity, even at this stage, is carefully chosen to develop each child's knowledge and skills. The staff are
very caring and kind, and this rubs off on the girls, who seem to be caring and kind to each other.

I couldn't recommend Rowan more if you have a daughter and looking for a pre-school where your daughter gains confidence, is happy and excited to go every day, makes friends and looked after by the warmest, kind and skilled teachers. Our daughter loves being at Rowan, it's the best decision we made
moving her from a nursery. She is stimulated a lot more and has a huge range of activities. Her development over the past 6 months has significantly advanced and a large part of that is down to the care and attention she receives from all the teachers and other staff members at Rowan.

The Rowan Prep Nursery is wonderful. The staff are exceptional, they take so much care in everything they do. From activities planned to meeting the individual needs of each child. My daughter enjoys each day in the nursery and comes home happy and content. I thoroughly recommend the Rowan Nursery!

My daughter has absolutely loved her time at Rowan so far. She has a brilliant time there, is in great care and is learning lots. She eats better at Rowan than I think she does at home! 100% better than I eat while she's at school anyway! The teachers all know her by name and really know her, what she
likes/doesn't like/what she's working on. We've just gone through potty training, which was made easy by the kind and caring staff. They really go above and beyond for the girls. From Forrest school every other week and watching chicks hatch, to a visiting planetarium, I know the girls are getting a varied and enriching experience at Rowan. Thank you to all the lovely teachers!

Well, where do I start? Rowan is just amazing! My daughter is super happy here, she never wants to come home at the end of the day! From an educational point of view she has come such a long way, cannot thank the amazing teachers enough for it. Not only that but they make it so fun to learn that my
daughter wants to do it when she gets home as well! The teachers and staff are all very welcoming, kind and approachable. At Rowan, it is very clear that every single girl is important and they cater for each need. I couldn’t be happier with Rowan prep school and highly recommend it.

My name is Rebecca, and I am the room leader for the Squirrels class at Rowan Prep.


With over 20 years of experience in early years education, I am deeply passionate about supporting young children as they grow, learn, and embrace new experiences.
