My name is Elaine Gent, and I am the Head of Early Years at Rowan Preparatory School.
Rowan is a very special place, and Early Years gives each girl a secure and strong foundation to begin their Rowan journey. We know our girls very wel,l and this allows us to plan a bespoke learning that ensures each girl shines brightly and becomes the very best they can be. Come and see us in action - I am sure you will love what you see and want to be part of our Rowan family.
My name is Laura Finch, and I have been working in childcare for over 18 years, and at Rowan since 2020. I find working in early years education to be one of the most rewarding careers, as it allows me to support children as they learn, grow and flourish.
There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child’s eyes light up with pride when they achieve something new. In my current role as Room Leader at Rowan, I love the amazing resources we have available to make the environment fun and exciting every single day, and to support their learning. The warmth that radiates through each classroom, filled with happiness and smiles, creates a truly special atmosphere where both children and staff can thrive. I feel proud to be part of a team that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
My name is Rebecca, and I am the room leader for the Squirrels class at Rowan Prep.
With over 20 years of experience in early years education, I am deeply passionate about supporting young children as they grow, learn, and embrace new experiences. I have been working at Rowan for the past two years, and I have had the privilege of watching the girls flourish, gaining confidence and joy through every new challenge.
No two days are ever the same, and I find great fulfilment in guiding children through unique learning experiences, including our outdoor adventures at Forest School. Watching their curiosity and resilience unfold is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. When I'm not at Rowan, I enjoy family time with my two children, reading and going on long walks with my dog Django.
