Ladywell Pre-school

I have four local grandchildren, all of whom have benefitted hugely from the socialisation that this setting provides. The pre-school is particularly attentive to the process of preparing children for the move to 'big school'. Each child is viewed as an individual and nurtured appropriately.

My son attended for two years and is now ready to leave for primary school. Highly recommend. They are often able to be flexible with hours and its affordable too. There is a nice playground nearby where the kids play after school.

This lovely nursery setting I think it is a hidden gem. My son started in April 24 to July 25 and we could not be happier. Very lovely setting and staff, caring and very profesional. They support and understand every childs needs and support the families too. Very pleased to have had my Child with them during his early years of education and I will always recommended to everyone.

Our daughter has been attending Ladywell Pre-school for the past six months, and we couldn't be happier with its nurturing and supportive atmosphere. It's exactly the setting we hoped to find - a place where children are truly understood, encouraged to thrive, and given the space to grow at their own pace.

Our daughter needed some time to settle in, and the staff were incredibly professional and caring, always finding creative ways to bring out the best in each child. Every day is filled with engaging activities - whether crafting, cooking, or exploring cultural experiences that spark their curiosity and imagination.

Without hesitation, we'll be sending our son here next term, knowing he'll be just as supported and inspired.

My son attended Ladywell Pre-school from September 2023 until February 2024, when we moved out of London, reluctantly leaving the preschool. The preschool is an incredibly special place with an ethos centred on taking time to nurture each little personality. My son (aged 4) absolutely thrived in the setting, and loved attending full-time. The staff are professionally excellent and genuinely they love children. My son came home every day happy and enriched by the learning experiences offered by the team. It's a very special place!

My child has been here for nine months and will be spending another year here. It took him just two days to settle at Ladywell Preschool. The staff is very professional here and keeps the parents well informed about their child. My child and I love his preschool and the staff. I would highly recommend them.

What a truly magical year our son has had before starting reception at a school nearby. After trialling a few different nurseries within the area we finally found the perfect setting, I only wish we had found it sooner. The staff really over-invest in making the setting an inclusive and safe space for all children, building strong and independently minded after their time at Ladywell preschool. No day is the same and our son has certainly thrived in experiencing a wide range of topics throughout the school year, certainly has mastered the brilliant basics (name writing, counting, etc) but also developed a real passion for the environment and randomly, woodwork! You should put your children into preschool here, they’ll be so loved.

Our other child (2-4) had difficult phases that many children experience, as he developed his social skills. The managers, key workers and other staff were attentive and sensible and worked with us to help him and he's now excited to start school soon! 10/10, brilliant place.

Although the hours are tricky (9-3:30) and we had to get an afterschool nanny, it was worth the hassle and our son is, without doubt, better off for attending this year.

Ladywell Pre-school is a really special place. It’s child-led - they do the most amazing things based on what the children are interested in (building a unicorn world for example). There is free flow indoor to outdoor play and a lovely garden. They do cooking and crafts - our daughter has absolutely flourished there. We really could not recommend it enough and will be sad to leave.

Ladywell Preschool has been an absolute gem for our child. The nurturing environment, dedicated teachers and enriching curriculum have exceeded our expectations. Our child has blossomed academically, socially and emotionally under the guidance of the outstanding staff. The individualized attention and strong parent-teacher communication have made us feel involved and supported. We wholeheartedly recommend Ladywell Preschool for its commitment to providing an exceptional preschool experience.

and I will be really sad to say goodbye on my youngest’s last day this week. It is a warm, welcoming, friendly environment and my daughter often comes out saying “best day ever”. The communication is brilliant; we get updates through the famly app and it’s great seeing what the kids are up to - and it’s all much more fun than they would have at home! And they are learning too - from social skills to pencil skills. My daughter also knows a long list of Makaton signs, counts to 5 in Spanish and has been surprising us with some Italian words! If you are looking for a kind and caring environment for your child, I wouldn’t hesitate to get in touch!

I cannot recommend this tucked-away pre-school highly enough. My child has just finished two years here and has thrived. The manager is passionate about learning, full of love for the children and incredibly hard working, and the children benefit from a caring, funny, committed team of staff who make it their business to know the kids and deliver learning and growth in a variety of ways. As well as an apparently low churn of staff, one of the keys to its success is an unusually strong relationship with parent/carer community (who are also welcome to get involved). I always look forward to the detailed weekly coverage and photos of what the children have been up to and I love that so much of it is led by the kids themselves. The large outside space is beautiful, varied and full of nature; there is a garden where the children grow their own vegetables - and also cook and eat them. The children prepare food regularly and mine has got pretty into woodwork since he started it there.

Two of my sons have attended this pre school, two years apart. During both of their times there the pre school felt like a unique find. Many of the staff have been there for a long time and changeover is very low, and they are all brilliant and caring. I was always impressed by the different activities they set out each day, never seeming to run out of ideas and often responding to things the children particularly liked or are interested in. One of my sons took a long time to settle and they dealt with that so well and helped him to become confident and happy there. And they are very welcoming to parents, you can drop the children off quickly or stay for a bit in the mornings, they are happy to have parents around and involved so you really feel you know the setting your child is in. I couldn’t recommend the pre school highly enough.

Ladywell Pre-school is a rare find, a combination of a well-thought-through setting that is both natural and calming, taking its influence from the outdoors and a wonderous team. Our little girl has had a wonderful journey, we have seen her grow in confidence, have loads of fun, explore new play opportunities, try new things and develop friendships. But what gives Ladywell Preschool its ‘magic dust’ is the grounded, hardworking and caring team. This is a team who celebrate children’s ideas, encourage kindness to each other, nature and the wider world, they see the beauty in everyday moments such as a child waving goodbye to their parents, jumping in puddles or joining in snack time for the first time. They, then quietly but confidently challenge the child to the next steps in their growth and development. We feel beyond lucky to have had this wonderful journey at Ladywell Preschool, we cannot recommend this setting highly enough. Our only regret in moving is that we cannot take Ladywell Preschool with us.

My son has been at Ladywell Preschool for 18 months and has thrived there. It provides a brilliant provision, with loads of opportunities to play outside and so many varied activities. The manager and her team have gone above and beyond when my son was settling and through his time there, now helping to prepare him for starting school in September. There is a consistency in staff too which shows it is a happy place and benefits the children lots. They clearly know all the children really well and have created a calm, happy place. It is a unique setting and I feel so lucky to have found it. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for childcare in the Ladywell area.

Ladywell Pre-school is such a special place. My son absolutely loves attending and couldn’t be happier. The staff are incredible and always thinking of fun, creative ways to engage the children. Highlights include wizard day, harvest showdown hoedown and lemon day. I also love their sustainable ethos, the nature reserve and the huge outdoor space. I can’t recommend Ladywell Pre-school enough.

Ladywell Pre-school is a warm and nurturing environment, and my son has really blossomed in the year he’s been there. The staff are amazing and the days are filled with fun, imaginative (and often hilarious!) activities built around the children’s interests and the time of year. The manager and her team are a fantastic and hard-working staff, and we couldn’t be happier with this nursery.

I can not recommend the nursery more, it is such a warm, engaging, creative, caring environment. Every day there are new incredible activities for the children to explore, often inspired by conversations with the children themselves. My daughter has thrived in this wonderful environment and I feel so grateful that she is able to spend her early years there.

My child has attended Ladywell Pre-school for almost a year now and we could not be happier. The team are amazing, which made the settling in process very smooth and there are plenty of updates on your child's progress, as well as all the fun they are having. One of the great things about the Pre-school is the large outdoor area with lots of activities for the children to enjoy. The team are always coming up with creative ways for the children to learn which is just one of the reasons why I would highly recommend Ladywell Pre-school to anyone looking for a warm, creative, friendly environment with a fantastic team.
