Waverton Cottage Day Nursery is conveniently located in the Whiston area, catering for children aged 0 to five years old.

The nursery is set on its own grounds in a beautifully restored building, featuring three age-appropriate rooms filled with exciting opportunities to learn and play. The Nestlings room caters for the youngest, providing an environment in which children can explore the world around them.

The Ducklings room provides children aged 25 to 36 months with unique planned activities for each individual child's needs, enabling them to flourish and grow to their full potential.

The pre-school room prepares the children for their next step, giving them access to a wide range of resources to inspire their developing minds.

In addition to the fantastic rooms, daily outdoor play in all weathers ensures children keep fit and healthy.

Kids Planet Nursery is a truly special place. The caring and creative staff have nurtured our daughter's confidence beautifully. She skips in every day with a smile, always excited to share what she's learned. We are so grateful for this supportive and joyful start to her education!!

Absolutely amazing nursery all the staff are lovely, really brought out my sons confidence and they couldn't do more for him, I couldn't be happier about where he is. I orginially wanted him to go to a preschool of the school he would be attending but can't bring myself to take him out of this nursery
because they are incredible.

I haven't got a bad word to say about this nursery.
It is a clean, child friendly environment and you're always greeted with a smile. My little girl is in the baby room and she has settled very quickly. She loves going into nursery and loves the girls that work in that room, especially her key workers.
I am always updated with her meals, toileting and sleep every day she's there. I receive lovely observations with plenty of picture and video evidence.
Whenever I email the nursery I always receive a reply within days and they're always so happy to help. They celebrate lots of world events like world book day, Down syndrome day etc which is very inclusive and it is lovely that my little one is involved with these special days at such a young age.

My daughter absolutely loved this nursery! Amazing staff and atmosphere, plus a lot of unique learning experiences, like hatching butterflies to understand the butterfly life cycle. Couldn't recommend the nursery more.

Kids Planet Whiston have given me nothing but complete confidence in that we've made the best choice for our child. It is clear upon entering the nursery that the staff are highly qualified, trained and have all the skills needed to complete their duties comprehensively. staff have a great relationship
with both children and staff alike and are always available to help, talk or assist with any queries or questions.


We have seen non stop development in my child since joining the nursery and her Key workers have been incredible in keeping us updated with her progress.


I cannot speak highly enough of the nursery and would recommend any prospective parents looking for a place to visit on the open days.

Kids planet have been fantastic since we very first arrived at the door enquiring if any places were available. My son had a terrible experience at a previous nursery & the staff at Kids Planet were quick to secure us a place so he could begin a much better nursery experience. My son settled in immediately
& has loved every minute since. We get daily updates & pictures which is a lovely way to keep up with his progress & see how much fun he has with his friends.
I couldn't recommend kids planet Whiston enough.

My 3 babies attend Kids Planet Whiston and all started at the nursery at very young ages. I was very anxious returning to work but felt a sense of reassurance leaving them with the staff at the nursery. Every member of staff is friendly, approachable and can see they enjoy their jobs and provide excellent
care. The management at the nursery is brilliant i have never known a manager to get so involved, knows all the children, parents and stops every day for a chat and is always getting her hands dirty doing bits of DIY around the nursery.
I cant fault the nursery at all, my babies love it and i feel at ease dropping them off every morning and when collecting them they are so happy and have had so much fun.

My daughter has been attending since Oct 2021. She is now in pre-school and happily skips into nursery every day. The manager leads a fantastic team. I get regular feedback and the atmosphere is always so warm and friendly from the staff and other parents. My daughter has moved up from the toddler room
with ease and enjoys learning new skills and joining in new activities.

My daughter has settled amazingly at the nursery and is always happy when there according to staff. When she first started posts were very regular. However recently they have been sporadic which makes it unsettling for me as a parent. Food posts go on once she's home which makes it hard to know if we
need to give her tea or not. Sometimes on handover, we get a vague "she's been good".

Fantastic nursery for both of my children. I have 1 child in baby room and 1 child in pre-school. Amazing staff in both rooms. My little girl in pre-school is a very shy personality and very attached to her parents. The manager and the team worked with me and dad to help to settle her in and finally
the tears have stopped. She loves pre-school and her friends, she talks about the staff at home so positively and she is thriving really coming out of her shell with the right support from the team. My little boy settled in from 11 months old without any issues at all. He is always happy and smiling when he sees his teachers.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff of Kids Planet Whiston. My son loves going to his nursery, and since starting he has absolutely thrived. The staff are wonderful, kind, and caring women and I cannot thank them enough for the care they give my son. He eats well, they manage to get him down for
a lunchtime nap (please tell me how?!), and he has so much fun. The staff update us regularly, and if he has been unwell they have contacted us promptly to let us know. We loves Kids Planet Whiston, and cannot recommend them enough.

All of the staff at Kids Planet Whiston are friendly, kind and caring. The nursery has a great atmosphere, and is always full of fun and love. Both of my daughters have had the best nursery experience I could have ever asked for. The food is great, with plenty of variety and the nursery is always clean
and tidy. The Forrest school is a great addition to have on-site and the children are able to go on trips out to the local park regularly. The Practice Manager is extremely hands-on, and very much involved in the children's care.

Staff are friendly and welcoming along with the nursery setting itself, staff always take the time to welcome children into the rooms each morning and make the time to tell me how my son has been throughout the day and what he has eaten. Staff regularly update the app throughout the day, we particularly
appreciate the photo updates. I can only speak for the baby room but there are ample of choices for the children to explore throughout the day and a large outdoor playing area, which my son loves. The meals and snacks throughout the day are always varied. The staff interact well with families and are always keen to involve us in any events that are coming up. We are very happy with the nursery and how our son is getting on.

My son initially struggled with the change of being left in nursery but the staff have been so helpful that he's settled in lovely and has a great time when he is there. They make sure to update the app regularly so I can see he is happy whenever he is in which I really appreciate so thank you!

We have been with Kids Planet Whiston since they began running this setting and have had nothing but brilliant experiences. The staff are kind and knowledgeable and have helped both of our boys grow and develop. Our oldest has now left and is thriving in school. Our youngest still attends Kids Planet
and is growing in confidence day by day! The setting itself is beautiful with high-quality toys and equipment (including the beautiful wooden kitchens and story arches!). Thank you to all the staff.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hi, my name is Jenny, and I am currently the nursery manager here at Kids Planet Whiston. I first got into childcare when I left school and joined a full-time college to complete my NNEB diploma in childcare. I have since worked within early years settings with the focus of supporting and helping children flourish and develop within their early years of life. I have learnt so much throughout my journey and have gained professional continuous development. I completed a BA Hons degree in leadership and childcare to help further my knowledge and passion. I continue to be a very hands-on and proactive manager with the dedication to role model and mentor the team around me.
