Gilwell Hill Children's Day Nursery & Pre-School - Chingford

We are delighted with Gilwell Hill Nursery. Our son (2 years old) is there and he loves it. He has close relationships with the staff who clearly very genuinely care for the children. Every week we look forward to the big update email with photos to see what he has been up to. He has been on trips to local parks, we’ve seen him feeding a horse, and he is always smiling and laughing in the pictures. The manager is also always there and always available. We relocated to the area from the midlands so we were worried about our son settling in a new nursery and a new area but the manager was really supportive and kept a close watch to make sure the transition was easy. We are really grateful for the nursery and everything it does. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nursery with a family feel.

My older son graduated from this nursery last year, and my younger son is currently there and we love it. The staff has been like a family to our children and us. They love the food that is cooked in-house. My younger son who is currently there is thriving and loves the activities, is happy and well-settled there. We also like the new initiatives that the nursery has implemented - excellent nursery.

I was nervous about my 11-month-old starting nursery but she settled in pretty much straight away. I really love this nursery and often recommend it to others. The staff and management are lovely, genuinely caring people who I can see my little girl loves and feels comfortable with. She goes in every day with a smile on her face and I know so much of that is due to them. The nursery itself is spacious, very clean and offers a varied and fun environment to the children with a sweet little garden too. Their activities always vary as do their meals and I've been so pleased with my baby's progress since she started. I can't rate this nursery enough.

Our daughter was really unsettled at her old nursery and after 7 months of crying at pick-up, we finally got a place at Gilwell Hill Children's Day Nursery & Pre-School. My daughter settled here after the first week, the nursery is a family like setting and all the children are relaxed. We get a daily update at pickup and on the app and our daughter is thriving here with her speech and education in general. The staff here are all amazing, understanding and for the children. We couldn’t recommend them more.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough and it is so nice to be able to leave him there while we are at work and not have to worry he won’t be cared for properly.

The staff are simply amazing! They are not just childcare providers; they’re genuinely caring and nurturing individuals who go above and beyond to ensure every child feels loved and supported. Communication with the staff is excellent. We receive regular updates, pictures, and progress reports, keeping us informed about our daughter's day and her developmental milestones. It's evident that the staff takes the time to understand each child individually and tailor their approach accordingly. We feel so fortunate to have found such a fantastic nursery for our daughter. It's more than just a nursery; it's a place where she is thriving. We highly recommend this nursery to any parent seeking a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for their child's early years. My son started Gilwell Hill Nursery when he was 2.5 years old. All the staff was so accommodating and supportive when he first began. It was such a warm welcome! Since then, we have had the best experience and would recommend to all parents, as their attention to the kids is amazing and so warming and I'm so happy we chose to send our son here! It was a great setting for him to be introduced to school life. Thank you to all staff, they are just amazing!

Outstanding nursery, providing brilliant care on virtually a one-to-one basis. My son came on so well having moved to Gilwell Hill. He is positively thriving here and being extended in his learning where the staff see his ability to do so. The staff care so much about the children, there is not a doubt in my mind that this is the best setting for my child to be educated and cared for within. I would recommend this nursery to anyone reluctant to leave their child, outgoing or anxious children or anyone seeking the best education and care for their child.

This is an outstanding nursery. We have found, after experiencing several, Gilwell Hill Children's Day Nursery & Pre-School to be the best. The staff are excellent, down to earth, lovely and above all extremely capable. Our daughter runs in every morning and as parents, we feel relaxed leaving her there because we feel so reassured that she is going to be well looked after and have a lot of fun. We are so happy and satisfied that we found the best place for our daughter.
