My daughter joined the new nursery last April and what an incredible year it's been! She has developed in so many ways her speech, confidence, manners, learning to share speaking some French, forest school the list is endless! Also thank you to the PE teacher whom she loves! But above all special thank
you to two teachers in particular for being so wonderful in teaching and looking after Aurora in the most amazing way I am extremely grateful and cannot thank you and the whole team enough. My daughter is super lucky to have this incredible nursery experience. We are beyond grateful for all you do! Thank you so much for everything in the most important first years of her education. I cannot recommend the nursery enough!

The nursery are always helpful and are there to support you and guide you through any issues. Everyone there is always very welcoming and very understanding with the children. I love how they communicate with you and let me know what’s going on with the school and what the kids have done each week.

The Nursery School is just absolutely fantastic. My eldest has now moved to reception this year but we now have the joy of the nursery school for 2 years with our youngest. Both girls absolutely love it and the facilities are just second to none! The staff are incredible and I feel so privileged to

Now six months into our time at Cheltenham Nursery School and we couldn’t be happier. It was a difficult decision for us to move our son from where he was previously but we felt that the brand-new facilities and impressive offerings of Cheltenham Nursery were worth a gamble and they have more than lived
up to our hopes.
With a varied timetable, including lessons with specialist teachers (music, French and PE), copious amounts of time spent in the beautiful nursery garden as well as at forest school, to the kind, compassionate, dedicated and experienced staff.
We love how the nursery often integrates with the “big children” in the dining room, has visits from the much older children to read and play and they have the use of other facilities at Cheltenham Prep School.
Communication between the nursery and parents is exceptional, with fortnightly updates on what our son has been doing as well as termly one-to-one parent meetings.
We cannot recommend the nursery highly enough.

An incredible setting for a nursery school. My daughter is so excited to go in each day, she absolutely loves everything that is on offer. The opportunity for the children to do activities such as music, french and outdoor learning is excellent for getting them ready for school as they also are exposed
to different teachers for these specific activities. The nursery school itself is purpose built and utterly beautiful having only opened recently. There is a covered outdoor area meaning that whatever the weather, the children can spend lots of time outside. It's a child's paradise! I can't recommend highly enough.

The facilities are outstanding and the friendly, approachable, professional teaching and support staff work hard to create a positive, harmonious, fun and supportive daily experience for our daughter. She is happy and confident and has thrived since joining in April 2022. She enjoys a balance of fun

We have been really pleased at how well our daughter has settled into nursery life. She has previously not attended a playgroup or nursery so this was a new experience for her - and us - and we knew it would need time. The staff have been really helpful and supportive, knowing how anxious we were and
how much she may find it hard to adapt. They are so caring and they do offer a lot of reassurance. We attended the Fun Fridays to help us experience the nursery setting and that really helped prepare her. The facilities are incredible and they do lots of varied activities every day. It's been a really positive experience for us all but especially our daughter.

Cheltenham Nursery School has a fantastic new purpose-built building with new rooms, equipment and facilities. All the staff I've met are friendly, helpful and have a genuine interest in the children, their care and well-being. They've helped me, as the parent, feel comfortable with their routine and
helped during the settling-in period.
Our son (4 years old) started in January without knowing any other children, he received a welcome letter from his key worker to introduce herself, the group he would be in and what they'd be learning for his first term.
There's a lovely warmth about the place and I feel happy leaving our son in their care, knowing that he'll have a little structure to his day as well as time for play and exploration. Updates via the app are a welcome insight into his day. He's quick to settle post drop off and happy at pick up, at times singing a song in French!
Drop off at 8 am is busy so I try and arrive a little before. Pick up at 5.30 pm is no trouble.

My son has been really happy at the nursery and settled right in. He loves all the activities and has made lots of new friends. The new building opened in September 2022, is fantastic, with plenty of outdoor areas and bright indoor play sections. The staff are lovely and helpful. We get regular updates
on the app on his progress. The children are encouraged to be self-sufficient and independent. All in all very pleased!

The Nursery at Cheltenham Prep can only be described as completely wonderful. The balance between structured learning and play is perfect, in addition to plenty of time outdoors exploring. The facilities and space are fantastic. My daughter is very fond of her teachers and happily enters nursery every
morning. However, the best part is the smile on her face when I collect her in the evening, excited to tell me about her day and what she has been up to! Highly recommended.

We have been delighted with Cheltenham Nursery School. Our son joined in September 2022 and loves it. The staff are so attentive and nurturing, whilst the new building is simply stunning. I love how the outdoor space has a large covered area so they can play outdoors in all weather conditions. Specialist
teachers teach music, French and P.E, my son always talks about P.E! There is also forest school several times a week, the list goes on! We would highly recommend the nursery school.

My son has been attending nursery since April 2022 and previous to him my daughter went there. It's such a fantastic nursery.
The children have a wonderful learning experience and, importantly, they have lots and lots of fun. The staff are all fantastic and work so hard to ensure the children are happy,
safe and have fun. Every day my little boy comes home saying he had a great day.
The building, both inside and outside, is wonderful and they have so much space to play and run around.
Being a part of Cheltenham Prep School means the children have the benefit of the wider school facilities. From French to forest school, art to phonics, PE to creative play. The experience the children have really sets them up for school.
It really is a wonderful nursery and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

What are your qualifications?


I read Geography at St. Andrews (M.A.), gained my PGCE from Goldsmiths and completed my NPQEL with Best Practice Network.


What is your favourite aspect of being Head of Pre-Prep?


I have always loved the infant and early years stage of childhood development. This is the magic time for children, when every experience is fresh and exciting, imagination runs wild, and laughter goes hand-in-hand with curiosity and wonder about the world around us!


Why did you choose Cheltenham Pre-Prep?


This is my dream job! I have aspired to be in such a role since I started my career. I am leading the educational phase I love, working with forward thinking, modern, fun, brilliant colleagues, children and families. Cheltenham Prep School is an environment which puts the holistic and wellbeing needs of children at the centre of our practice and pedagogy.


What makes you passionate about working with children of Pre-Prep age, specifically?


The tiny smiles, hands and bright-eyed awe with which young children view the world is heart-warming and makes me very happy. I truly have the best job in the world.


What are your interests and hobbies?


I love the outdoors, and really enjoy sports - cycling and running are particular favourites. Something I will never forget was completing the 'Ampler Challenge' a few years ago. I cycled from Palermo to Sorrento, Italy (900km) in just 10 days!

This is my fourth year working at The Prep, I started in September 2018!


What is your favourite part about working at the Nursery School?


The team of people around you are brilliant and everyone is happy to help out. I love all the different characters working at Cheltenham Prep and how involved everyone gets in the amazing, themed days.


What does a typical day involve for you at the Nursery School?


My day starts with talking with the team in the Nursery School, then welcoming the children and their families. Then we meet in our groups for some 'carpet time'. The day is filled with specialist lessons and lots of play. In the summer we spend more time outside enjoying the warm weather and maybe lots of water play. After lunch (which is now in the Dining Hall with the whole of Pre-Prep) we have a rest time or pull on our wellies and puddle suits and head out to the Outdoor Learning Classroom, or the Forest School. Following this we enjoy our delicious well-earned snack and then come together for a storytime on the carpet. It is a busy, full-on day for everyone, so some rest is definitely needed ready to start all over again the next day.
