Little Forest Folk Fulham offers fully outdoor childcare for 2 - 5 year-olds in the great outdoors.

Children are encouraged to immerse themselves in nature by running, jumping, climbing and exploring, whilst their imagination is stimulated and triggered by their natural environment.

Little Forest Folk-ers arrive at the indoor space within Fulham Palace at 8am for a nutritious, homemade breakfast, they then head out to the magical forest space in their wellies and waterproofs, where they spend the rest of their day surrounded by nature. A morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack are enjoyed in the camp alongside more child-led play, before enjoying a tasty dinner in the indoor space before they head home.

The Fulham nursery is very lucky to have their outside space within the grounds of historic Fulham Palace, where the team works closely with grounds staff to help children explore the wonders of the site; Children are treated to talks from staff, such as volunteer bee keepers, and enjoy adventure walks all over the Palace grounds. Camp always features an array of fantastically creative set ups for little learners, including sensory activities and story area. This nursery sadly can’t accommodate napping children but other facilities include forest toilets, nappy changing tent and handwashing stations.

This nursery delivers the full EYFS curriculum within the forest in a child-led and play-based fashion, the children learn in nature whilst still being observed and their development assessed as you would at a mainstream nursery.

For all ages and at all points of the day the nursery maintains a 1:4 ratio of staff to children, which Little Forest Folk are very proud of as they ensure the highest standards of safety, care and education are met.

Words can't describe how grateful I am to the entire LFF team for everything. Not only were they always responsive and supportive to us as parents, but they also made us feel like part of the family. Sending my son to the Fulham branch was the best decision I could have made for the start of his school
life. Every teacher was so nurturing and helped him grow in every way. He would come home excited to teach me new things about nature, and it was wonderful to see him come out of his shell and find his voice. I especially loved how much time the children spent outdoors - it was perfect for him. I always felt completely confident and comfortable dropping him off, and he would run in happily each day. I can't thank the team enough for their care, dedication, and for treating him as one of their own.

Excellent nursery. I can't praise LFF highly enough. Their approach to play and education is of the highest standard and it's clear what a positive effect the outdoor environment has on the children. It's the most idyllic pre-school setting, I'd recommend it to anyone I know.

I cannot recommend Little Forest Folk Fulham enough, your little one will love exploring and learning in their campsite. The staff our so gentle, nurturing and caring. My Son has learnt so much from being there, from learning to understand his emotions to honing in on his climbing skills, it's educational
and fun! Don't be discouraged that they are not learning in a class, they have the same curriculum but it is all based through play in the great outdoors. I feel it helps keep the children calm, regulated and free. My Son is always smiling when I pick him up so that is a golden review in itself xx

I've had a truly wonderful experience with Little Forest Folks nursery. My son has been attending for two years now and continues to thoroughly enjoy it. From the moment he started, we noticed him blossoming in confidence, communication, and motor skills. He's grown into an independent, curious child
with a deep connection to nature-such a beautiful gift for any parent to witness.
The staff and teachers are exceptional-thoughtful, warm, encouraging, and full of creative ways to teach and engage the children.
The only downside? He comes home absolutely covered in mud! But honestly, even that feels like a sign of a day well spent outdoors.

Our daughter has a fabulous time at Little Forest Folk Fulham. She loves all the activities and adventures they go on in the forest... and she eats all of the delicious, healthy meals that is provided which is such a plus! Comes home exhausted and happy every day, even the rainy ones!

Our son has attended Little Forest Folk Fulham for over a year and he adores his time in the forest. He doesn't look back when dropping him off in the morning and he is always happy (and tired) at the end of the day. It is a great team, always coming up with innovative ways to inspire learning using

Little Forest Folk is an incredible nursery experience. Our son absolutely adores it and always returns with a big smile on his face. At Little Forest Folk he gets to be a true kid and play outside all day, jump in puddles, learn and be interested in nature, and nurture his creativity and curiosity.
The staff are excellent at planning magical days for the children, with fun activities that are not only fun, but that also have educational value, be it counting and letters, building an obstacle course, learning about the plants around camp or nurturing social skills/general life skills. All the educators are extremely talented with the children, and their love for their job and being outdoors clearly shines through and rubs off on the children. They always go above and beyond to make the forest a wonderful experience for the children every single day. We really couldn't be happier with Little Forest Folk and highly recommend it.

Donna grew up in South East London in a large family surrounded by lots of nieces and nephews and that’s when she knew childcare was the career for her. Donna has been working in private nurseries now for over 11 years gaining both NVQ Level 2 and Level 3.


Donna believes that children learn through exploring and playing. Donna enjoys being able to be a part of our younger generation’s future, teaching them basic skills and knowledge that will go on and help them in their older years at school and eventually into adulthood. Donna is an outdoorsy person and loves to explore and get messy. She is excited to be passing on some of her knowledge and skills to the children out in the Forest!

Maria is an enthusiastic teacher from Spain who enjoys being in the great outdoors. She studied primary education and has experience in SEN (Special Educational Needs) as well as in Early Years. She is currently a volunteer Cubs and Scouts leader in her local borough. She spends most of her free time reading and experimenting with DIY and arts and crafts - especially watercolour painting.


She has been passionate about oceans and sea life since she was a little one. Nowadays, she loves scuba diving and open-water swimming. She also enjoys cycling, camping and stargazing. She sees working in the early years as a great chance to pass on her love for nature and wildlife to children in the earliest stage of their lives.


Her biggest concern regarding her experience in education is the lack of time developing paramount skills, such as self-confidence, decision-making, independence, a can-do attitude and the fact of seeing mistakes as part of the learning process instead of seeing them as a failure. It's simply wonderful how all these prompts are fully achieved in a learning outdoor environment surrounded by nature.
