Kids Planet (Thornton) are an established and trusted nursery located in the centre of Thornton, just outside of Cleveleys. They are open 8am - 6pm and offer full day, half day and sessional day care depending on your requirements.

As part of the family-owned Kids Planet group, the nursery aims to provide a home-from-home environment which children look forward to visiting and where parents and families feel confident that their child is in capable hands.

Each day is planned with fun activities that aim to encourage children's natural curiosity and development, with their age, personalities and any specific needs taken into account. The team have a wealth of experience, and understand that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to day care.

The nursery offers a wide range of facilities and equipment to make each day exciting, whilst also establishing the foundations for children to become happy and confident individuals.

My little boy has been attending Little Nutkins for the last 18 months. I have found the nursery facilities and more importantly the team to be fantastic! As a working mum thinking about leaving your baby is a difficult thing to contend with but the team at Little Nutkins took any fear and stress away
from this situation. The baby unit has been wonderful with lots of different activities, events and now we are downstairs, there are many different activities and opportunities to learn. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

My little boy absolutely loves attending Little Nutkins and we could not be happier about how he has settled there. The staff create a nurturing environment where the children continually develop and are thriving. They are always looking at the next steps for how the children can progress and we are
informed through the assessment app 'tapestry'. We love seeing the activities he does at nursery and what he is achieving.
We feel that our son is very happy at Little Nutkins and that is because of the caring staff.

The quality of early years care provided is outstanding, with a high standard of infrastructure enabling a clear focus on both the physical and social/emotional development of my son. He clearly enjoys his time there and is thriving, developing so many new skills in such a short amount of time since
joining the nursery in January.
The activities in the baby room are varied and development-focussed (I value highly, the items he makes and brings home with him)
The care is individualised to make sure my son's needs are accounted for and the parental feedback/liaison is both in-depth and valuable.
I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. The choice in selecting a nursery for our children is always a difficult one.
Both the staff at Little Nutkins and the quality of their provision has made sure my choice was one well made.

My little boy attends the nursery 3 days per week - he loves it and is very happy to go each morning. He has a great relationship with the staff and is building some good friendships with the children too. The nursery staff are proactive, have a can do attitude and are very caring. They get to know
your child really well and make the nursery a lovely place for the children to be. I would highly recommend this setting.

Excellent nursery. Very enthusiastic and friendly staff with a nice atmosphere about the place. Lots of fun activities for children on a daily basis. Good feedback to parents daily and online re: daily activities, feeds, naps, development etc. Would highly recommend.

My child absolutely loves going to this nursery. She has developed so much since entering the nursery at 10 months old. She is now nearly 2 and is absolutely thriving. The staff are brilliant with her, she loved her time in the baby unit and now she has transitioned so well to the toddler area due to
the friendly, caring and hardworking staff. She eats well there and often asks for seconds. She has made some lovely little friends there. Both of her parents are very happy with the provision.

I moved my daughter to this nursery mid-November 2016, and it was the best decision I have made. Her speech has come along so much, she settled in very well and the main thing that has made all the difference is the staff and how willing they are to do anything to help better your child. My daughter
was potty trained within 3 days. I couldn't be happier with this nursery.

I have four children, 3 have attended Nutkins but are all at school now, the oldest being 10 years and our fourth child has just started Little Nutkins as its near to our home. We have had nothing but the greatest of experience regarding the nursery and we know our children are in really good hands.
The fact that most of the staff have been the same over the years shows that they are a good employer and the staff are obviously happy and have lots of experience, I feel they know our family. I really like all the extra activity's that the have, Petite Acting Academy, football coaching, cooking club and science club, the kids have really enjoyed these. I always recommend them to people who are looking for a nursery.

Little Nutkins is an absolutely fantastic nursery. My daughter started at 8 months and has never had a day that she didn't want to go in and see her extended family, play with all the lovely toys and fun activities. Staff are extremely approachable, supportive and accommodating. Highly recommend.

As the parent of a child who struggles with nursery due to separation anxiety, I always feel safe in the knowledge that the care she receives here is exemplary. Staff are always welcoming, kind and knowledgeable and create a safe, happy environment for the children to play and learn. With excellent

Since joining Little Nutkins Nursery my son has developed in so many ways. He is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going to nursery every day. My son has had the most amazing time and he has had lots of fun. The nursery itself is a fun and bright environment and I think it provides the
backdrop for more effective learning. My son loves the 'Aunties' very much and the teachers are very approachable for parents. My son attends full time. Our experience of the little Nutkins Nursery has been fantastic and we would definitely recommend to others.

My child has been at little Nutkins since September, he loves going and tells me everything he has done. I can't fault the nursery at all, the staff are lovely and the nursery is always clean and when I take my child I know they are well looked after and cared for.

I'm really pleased with the care my son has received since he started in September. So much time and effort went into settling him in and the staff are so thorough in giving you updates and keeping you informed of their progress.
My little boy loves going to Little Nutkins and can't wait to get there.
The activity schedule is always really interesting and diverse and the food menu is excellent!
Would highly recommend.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I hold a Level 6 qualification in Childcare, and I am fully paediatric first aid qualified. I have many years experience of working with children from birth to 5 years.


It was always my ambition to work with children, I enjoy helping them to develop and progress during their time at nursery.


In my spare time I enjoy being a mummy and building memories, spending time with family and friends and finding new and exciting ideas for the children at nursery to enjoy.
