Little Flyers @ West Calder Nursery

My son has been attending Little Flyers @ West Calder & Out of School Care from 9 months old. From the first visit, we felt he would be in a safe and comfortable environment.

We couldn't be happier with the Little Flyers team!

My little boy attends this nursery and his care is brilliant.

I not only trust the staff - I come home feeling that they genuinely love him and that makes all the difference.

I wrote a review a few months ago where I suggested they were not flexible but a change in management has seen that improve massively and I no longer have any issues.

My son started at Little Flyers at 9 months old and settled in straight away. He absolutely loves it! All the staff are fantastic - they're enthusiastic, friendly, attentive and very clearly love their jobs. It's wonderful never having to worry about my child when I'm at work as I know he's happy, safe and having a great time. I'm impressed with the range of toys they have - lots of sensory and Montessori type play, as well as plenty of messy and outdoor play. I think the nursery really excels in involving parents and carers and providing individualised care for each child.

Wonderful place for my boys aged 10 and 8. They visit the after school club at Little Flyers @ West Calder and thoroughly enjoy their time there. Weekly activities and visits from wonderful people like football coaches and animal carers with great unusual animals.The staff are all great and you can tell that they enjoy the work that they do. The building itself is beautiful and after using different after school clubs in the past I would highly recommend Little Flyers. Thank you.

My granddaughter started at this nursery about 5 weeks ago. She's 14 months old and loves it there, mention nursery to her and she goes to get her jacket. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and take care of all the children who attend. They provide plenty of information if required.

The staff within Little Flyers are great. Always give you feedback on how your child has been during that day and what they have done. Always very welcoming and open. The girls are lovely and encourage the children into activities.

I find the staff very approachable and they give excellent handover's regarding what my son has been eating/playing/making. The nursery setting is lovely and always clean. I can't praise Little Flyers and the staff enough and look forward to my son attending the after school club once he starts school.

Since my daughter has started this nursery she has come on so well. She is always so happy going into nursery and seems to really enjoy it. Getting her day diary home at the end of each session she has is brilliant as I can see what she has been up to and what she has had to eat.

There has only been one occasion I've felt unsatisfied with the nursery but this was raised and I felt happy going forward.

The staff in the nursery are extremely friendly and seeing my daughter at ease with them makes me know that I've chosen the correct childcare for her.

She has a great relationship with the staff and loves all the activities they put on. In fact she's always at me to pick her up later.

I use Little Flyers for the after-school club - and I am very happy with this. My wee boy loves it and I feel he gets a good range of activities to join in, as well as lots of toys and games to play with. The walk from school to Little Flyers is good for him too and I know he enjoys this.

My son loves going to nursery from being very tearful and not sure about going in, after a couple of weeks he settled right in and to now 7 months on he absolutely loves going, full of smiles, rushes to the door in the morning just to get in and play. He has learned a lot and he has come on leaps and bounds and that due to the staff (their commitment, great attitude) and the way they are just in general with all the kids with talking to them and doing activities with them... my son was at a different nursery before I moved him to here and there are no regrets at all from day one.. would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

My daughter has attended Little Flyers for a year. The staff have been very welcoming to us as a family and very patient with any concerns we have had with our daughter. Her key worker always goes above and beyond for her.

We are given thorough feedback at pick up time and it is great to hear about all the activities she has taken part in during the day.

Little Flyers is an excellent nursery. I have 2 boys enrolled, we had previously had our youngest in a different nursery and he became unhappy, so we looked for another closer to home. What we found was an excellent welcoming feeling and we have not seen someone blossom as much as our youngest. Our oldest son also attends Little Flyers but attends the after school club. Again he has been able to grow and blossom at Little Flyers. Definitely recommend!!

The staff at this nursery are very friendly, also are great for kids that are struggling to settle as my wee girl was terrible for settling in and now she loves going to nursery all thanks to the lovely staff.

My son really enjoys the after school club, the staff were great at helping him settle in.

The activities which are planned for the children are fantastic.

Little Flyers has been a great support to me while I have continued my studies at college. The staff have always welcomed me and other family members and most importantly give my daughter the best care I could hope while I am at college. My daughter gets a chance to participate in a wide range of activities and always has a lot of fun when at nursery. She has a great relationship with all staff members who treat her in the best way possible.

From day one this nursery has been fantastic. The communication between my daughter and her key worker is on top form. Each day the staff go through lists of activities the children have been up to and what they have eaten. I would highly recommend this nursery. My daughter has been attending since August and she loves it.

Very friendly and caring staff who make the children feel welcome when they start. Our daughter has settled in now and really enjoys her time at nursery. She takes part in many different activities and has lots of opportunities to play outside which I am pleased about. The staff provide great learning opportunities and extend the play by following the children's lead. Always given an extremely comprehensive handover at the end of the day. Keep up the good work all the staff.
