Little Oaks Children's Nursery

Both my girls started at Little Oaks in the baby room and stayed right through to pre- school. I really cannot speak highly enough of the support care and attention both the girls but also us as parents received from all the staff. The communication was prompt and informative, the environment nurturing and stimulating and both girls have joined school fully equipped and ready for this next part of their journey thanks to little oaks. The staff are at the heart of this nursery, you really feel like one big family. I cannot recommend Little Oaks highly enough.

My son was at Little Oaks from October 2023 until this September 2026. Throughout his time at the nursery, it has been wonderful to see my son develop from a curious baby, into a playful toddler, and finally into a confident preschooler. Throughout the three years we have been at Little Oaks, we have always found the atmosphere to be welcoming, with all the staff making time to know my child as an individual. The staff go above and beyond - from helping to make a birthday card for a parent, to holding a staff training session to understand my son's medical needs. The daily updates we received were outstanding, and the extra-curricular activities and end-of-term parties are far better than offered by many other nurseries. On a practical note, the nursery's location on quiet streets meant my son could walk/cycle there from an early age. And the proximity to the excellent GP surgery has proved convenient many times.

Our child attended Little Oaks from 2022-2026 and our experience from the baby room to pre-school has been excellent. Our child developed close relationships with staff throughout their time there. We particularly valued the close family-style approach of the setting. Little Oaks offered plenty of valuable experiences for learning through trips to the town, local farm, library and park. We would highly recommend Little Oaks to other local families.

Both of our children attended Little Oaks from age 1 until starting school, and our experience has been fantastic! Our youngest just finished at the nursery in August 2026. From day 1, both of our boys seemed so happy at nursery and have been so well cared for. The staff are amazing - they give every child so much time and care, and put a lot of effort in to creating a safe, fun, and rewarding environment for them all. We couldn't have hoped for a better childcare setting for our two boys and we were so sad when our time with Little Oaks came to an end. We would highly recommend Little Oaks to all parents, it truly is a wonderful nursery.

Both my son and daughter loved their time at nursery, playing, learning, enjoying so many different activities and trips. They also left Little Oaks independent and ready for school, which was so reassuring for their next big chapter!

Little Oaks has been a very special part of our family's life for five years. We are incredibly grateful for everything Amanda, James and the team have done for my children and we will miss everyone enormously.

We have used Little Oaks for both of our children and been with them since July 2020. It is a lovely nursery who have provided excellent care for our children. It is family run and has a loyal cohort of very caring staff who seem truly invested in each child. Even though my son left for school 3 years ago, staff members, including the owners themselves, still remember and ask after him/ recall events with him when he attends pick up for my daughter, and even save him biscuits/ cakes when they are baking! When we moved house several years ago to another town at least 15 minutes drive away, we kept the children at Little Oaks as couldn't imagine finding a better nursery. I would thoroughly recommend them to any family.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the nursery my girls have been attending! They've both made incredible progress and are always coming home with big smiles on their faces. Choosing a nursery for our little ones is hard, you search and search, read endless reviews in the hope of finding the right one to look after your baby in your place. This is definitely the place to do that and the team at Little Oaks, no matter the job title, from bank staff to directors all provide a warm welcome, make the children feel safe and secure as well as make each day as fun as possible, while still setting and maintaining an education aspect of their day to day lives. My little boy's special needs requirements developed within their care over the years and they too, along with myself learnt a way how to approach this, adapt and we supported each other in more ways than one. They will be missed.

Little Oaks is an amazing nursery. Both my children have attended and both been really happy. The staff simply care. They care about your children and your concerns as a parent. It is always a daunting experience choosing a nursery but I can honestly say it is a great nursery and has been part of our everyday lives for the last 5 years. If reading this whilst looking for a nursery, please go look for yourself and I am sure you will find friendly, helpful staff and plenty of happy children.

Little Oaks is the best nursery in town. It really feels like family, the staff are so kind and caring, and this is not just a job for them. I had experience with another nursery chain, but you cannot even compare the care provided by them to the amazing, very high standard of Little Oaks. Don’t hesitate to enrol your child, and if they have no space, make sure to get on the waiting list, it’s worth it!

Little Oaks is a lovely family-run nursery which provides an amazing start for children. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Both my son and daughter attended this nursery and both left very happy and confident. All the staff are warm and caring and went above and beyond for our children. Daily communication is excellent and there are plenty of age-appropriate creative activities which I would never have thought of at home. My child has been at Little Oaks for the past four years. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They truly recognise each child's strengths and challenges and support them on an individual basis. They shower the children with love and continually come up with new and innovative ways to promote inclusion and diversity. If I ever had another child, I would not hesitate to send them there. 10/10
