Hi, my name is Jayne and I am the Banana Moon Catterick Nursery manager. I have over 30 years of experience in childcare beginning my career as a childminder, then a nanny, before moving on to work in childcare settings. Over the years, I have supported many children and their families in growing and developing, which I find truly rewarding.

I have a passion for creating homely, warm and welcoming environments, using recycled and repurposed furniture. Constantly reflecting and enhancing the nursery.

Hi, I'm Helen and I am the Deputy Manager. I have worked in childcare for over 20 years and I have worked at Banana Moon Catterick for 8 years.

I have experience caring for children of all ages in the early years sector. I enjoy getting creative with the children and can regularly be found enjoying messy activities with the children in Full Moon. I also enjoy building miniature models and spending time with my husband and dog on long walks.

I have worked in childcare for 14 years and hold a Level 3 qualification. My role is to ensure the curriculum is embedded within the nursery team and I am a big believer that the best way children learn is through play, and the environment we create here at Banana Moon Catterick supports this.

I also enjoy supporting our families, hosting parent workshops, and supporting our families with transitions such as toilet training.

I am a devoted mum and family is so important to me.

Karen has been with us for 4 years now and is so important to the running of the nursery.

Previously Karen worked in a school setting, and all of the meals here are homemade, devising the seasonal menus herself.

She also caters for our Stay and Play events and the Christmas Fayre. (Her scones are renowned in Catterick)

Karen has also recently won Culinary Star of the Year, the first ever awarded at our Midnight Moon Awards. So we are so proud of her achievement.

When Karen gets any spare time, she takes part in the local farmer's shows, yes you guessed it, baking up a storm!

She has her Alpacas and is a devoted Gran.

Kayleigh has recently joined us as a Kitchen Assistant and has a wealth of experience working in a school kitchen. She also has a Level 2 in Childcare and Education.

Sarah has been with us for 8 years now. One of the longest-serving staff members of the team.

She covers all areas of the nursery, including, supporting Karen our cook, in the kitchen for Stay and Play events.

Sarah is a mum to twin girls and is very sociable. Wow, 8 years is an achievement, and we hope she will be with us for many more years to come.

Diane is our cleaner and not just any cleaner, she is fantastic. She always goes over and above in her role and takes great pride in her work.

Her daughter and granddaughter work here also in Baby Moon's and is so nice to have three generations of the same family here.

Kerry joined the team in 2022 and works in Baby Moon's.

Kerry has progressed and is now the second in the room, mentored by the Room Leader. She is highly organised and her passion is clearly evident in all she does.

The children and families have built up some wonderful working relationships and everything she does is for them. She is constantly reflecting and growing in her role.

Kerry is one of three family members who work at Banana Moon Catterick, which is lovely.

Sara has a wealth of experience in childcare. She joined us in 2019 and works in our Baby Moon's room and is such an important part of the team.

In her free time, she enjoys Scottish country dancing and enjoys showing the children and team her steps.

Natasha joined us in late 2024, and she is getting to know her colleagues and families here. She has been working in Baby Moon's but also supports where needed.

We look forward to seeing you flourish here at Banana Moon.

Lana is one of our Apprentices and she works alongside the Baby Moon's team.

Lana has grown in confidence over the last few months and always has a smile and a willingness to learn and gain valuable experience from her colleagues.

Lana is creative and enjoys diamond art when she has time, in between working and studying for her apprenticeship.

Anne Marie joined us in 2024, as lunch cover, and has recently increased to mornings, as she has such a dedication and passion for the role.

She can be predominantly found working alongside Sheree in the Teenie Moon's room.

She is a busy mum, but when she gets any free time, she is very creative. She likes to cross stitch and also to be outdoors, getting lots of exercise.

Sheree joined us in 2024 as lunch cover. As time went on, it was evident that she enjoyed her role here and after discussions, Sheree agreed to begin an Apprenticeship here with us.
She is now Teenie Moon's Room leader and is an asset to the nursery.
Organised, passionate and dedicated to her role.

Marie joined us in 2024 as an Apprentice and works in Mini Moon's.

Marie is a vibrant and happy person, who is gaining great experience working here and from her colleagues and mentor.

She has a love of animals and we look forward to seeing Marie progress with her apprenticeship here with us.

Abbie was initially a parent here at Banana Moon Catterick, and the opportunity arose to join our team, and she joined us in September 2025.

Abbie is a mum and has much experience. She has joined the Mini Moon's team as a Room Leader, and we welcome her to our team.

Lisa is one of our longest-serving members of the team. Joining us in 2016, she celebrated her 8th year with us in 2024.

Lisa is one of the Mini Moon Room Leaders and has such a positive attitude to life.

When not at work she loves to spend time with her husband and dog, and is a very good singer too! You can often hear her singing along with the children and has the occasional boogie with them too.

Lisa also hosts our weekly free Stay and lay sessions, for children 0-2 years old..............and likes to get messy!!!!

Kelly works alongside the Mini Moon's team. She joined us in 2021 and is very passionate about her role here.

Kelly can often be heard, reading to the children and providing some lovely invitations and provocations for the children.

Kelly adores her dogs and they are an important part of her life. She also enjoys diamond painting in her spare time.

Debbie started her journey with us in 2021. She works alongside Lisa and Michelle in Mini Moons and has so much passion for her role, always thinking of her environments and constantly reflecting on creating inspiring and imaginative provocations and invitations for the children.

She is a devoted mother and grandma and family is everything to her.

Sophie works in our Full Moon's room, supporting the room leaders. Sophie enjoys keeping fit and is very sociable.

Over the last few years, she has built up good working relationships with our families and children in Full Moon and is a Key Person to some of the children. There are many aspects to her role and she is always on hand to offer support if needed around the nursery.

Sophie enjoys reading, listening to music, podcasts and football.

Shannon joined us in 2021 and worked in Full Moon's room, for 3 years to 5 years.

Shannon is a mum and has almost completed her studies to become a Level 3 Early Years Professional.

Shannon in her spare time likes to spend it with her family.

Claudia joined us in late 2024 and is very experienced in childcare.

She is a proud mum and Claudia is getting to know the team and families, predominantly working in Baby Moon's. Welcome to the team Claudia.

Michelle is one of our Mini Moon's Room Leaders and joined us in 2021 and is also our SEN here at Banana Moon Catterick.

Michelle is very dedicated and developing her practice and is mid-way through her Level 5 in childcare.
