Every day I picked him up he would be shaking and crying - he's never been like that before or since so it really worried me. Although he was given a key worker, I never met her despite requesting to on several occasions. Every day a different person would hand him back to me. They criticised him not walking yet (he very nearly was!) but never suggested ways to help. They sent round a list of staff qualifications on their app and it became obvious that it was a series of quite young staff members who were "working towards" their childcare qualifications.
I overlooked the fact that their sister nursery (Pitta Patta in FH) was suspended by Ofsted for a serious incident but I shouldn't have - all the same people are involved in both nurseries.
Worth noting that most of the reviews on this page relate to 'Young Oaks' nursery not Pitta Patta - a different set-up at the same address

As a parent, I feel content that our son is in a safe and happy learning environment where he will thrive.
The constructive feedback I have relates to lesser important issues; buggy shed could be bigger and more secure, sometimes the Blossom app is not always updated or accurate with my child's day and finally the starter pack I found a little overwhelming as it wasn't clear which attachments I needed to print off and sign.
However, overall, I am very pleased so far with this nursery.
It’s a lovely, homely nursery with a great community feel and lots of staff that have worked there for a long time. They’re incredibly inventive with the things they do to keep the children occupied. It feels like they have a great balance of keeping the children happy whilst also learning.
Our son has already learned lots and we can see him developing every week he spends there. We cannot recommend Young Oaks and the staff there more highly.
Our daughter is so happy at this nursery and happily trots in. She is really well cared for and enjoys the social nature of the nursery. I am also very happy with the education there as she has just turned three and has already been taught all her numbers and letters as well as life skills like sharing and vocalising her needs.
My daughter started when she turned one and the staff were brilliant during the settling in period. The staff are all amazing and very passionate about their jobs, there have been no changes to staff during her time at the nursery.
My daughter loves going to nursery and is always happy when we drop her/collect her. We hear about everything she gets up to on a daily basis and she has built great relationships with her key workers and other children. We couldn’t be happier with the care provided!
Young Oaks Day Nursery has been a little hidden gem for us and our 1.5-year-old son. After our childcare arrangements suddenly changed in September, we had to find an alternative quickly and stumbled across Young Oaks (approx. 5 mins from HOP station). Our son had previously been used to a nanny, who he had a strong bond with and so we were keen to find a small, intimate and caring nursery with staff that would make the transition as smooth as possible. The manager is highly experienced and took our son under her wing. Young Oaks ticked the most important boxes for us, as staff turnover is low and and our son's key worker has been a brilliant throughout looking after our son as soon as he arrives each morning. Our little one really enjoys going to nursery and has made lots of lovely friends. We love having our daily report at the end of each day and hearing what activities they have been up to. We would definitely recommend it to other local parents in SE23.
The staff are capable and caring and turnover is very low. The nursery has a homely, family atmosphere. The children spend a lot of time together and it is nice to see the older children helping the younger children. The manager of the nursery is very hands on and close to the children, yet very responsive, professional and receptive to feedback. Communication is good, with monthly newsletters and daily activity reports. Emails are picked up and responded to quickly and the nursery is very flexible and accommodating with extra sessions and emergency care.
Dear Kathryn, thank you so much for your review. The staff and I work very hard to ensure that all children and parents are happy here at Young Oaks Day Nursery. We are very open to any feedback that you might have. Thanks again.
Our little boy started at Young Oaks when he turned 1 and I went back to work and he's been there for 3 months now. I was apprehensive about leaving him at nursery but my worries were unfounded as he absolutely loves it! He is so happy when we arrive - he runs in to see his friends and to play with the toys and it's evident that he's really comfortable in the environment there. The staff are excellent at communicating feedback and our son is building great relationships with everyone. The staff make a real effort to make learning tasks varied and do a good range of activities to keep the children busy and entertained. We can really see the progress our son is making with his speech and motor skills. As well as his learning, his personal development is also coming on leaps and bounds and he is becoming really confident engaging with other children. At home and out socially we can really see how much he's progressed since starting nursery. We're very happy with Young Oaks Day Nursery.
Hi Mieke
Thank you so much for your review it means a lot. We are very glad that you are happy with Young Oaks Day Nursery.
Our daughter has been attending Young Oaks for 4 months. She is still young and can't yet speak, but she brings us her coat in the mornings, eager to leave the house so that she can go to nursery. When we arrive, she runs off to greet the staff and her friends without sparing a thought for mummy or daddy! She loves nursery! The staff are wonderful, warm, nurturing while also being professional and conscientious. The nursery manager is outstanding - I can't praise her highly enough for her professionalism and her amazing way of calming any upset child and any anxious parent. I was really worried before leaving my little one at nursery to return to work full time, but I needn't have worried, because the manager took my daughter (and me at times!) under her wing and created a home away from home for my daughter. I couldn't be happier with Young Oaks.
Thank you so much for your review, it means a lot to us here at Young Oaks. It is part of our job to make sure that both parents and child are settled into nursery life, and will help as much as we can. Thanks again.
My 3 year old daughter has been at Young Oaks (2 days a week) for a year now and she absolutely loves it there. The staff are really friendly and kind, she has a great relationship with each of them. She always has fun and is full of beans when she gets home in the evening eager to tell us what she has been doing. We get lots of feedback at the end of the day on the feedback form telling us about her mood and activities and even what she ate and how long she slept. I feel very confident leaving her there. She gets on well with the other children and I feel her learning is really starting to come on in leaps and bounds, they do lots of singing and counting and borrows a different book every week. The same staff are there everyday so I have a great relationship with them too. I highly recommend Young Oaks.
Thank you so much for the review, it means a lot to hear how much your child enjoys it here. The staff and I work very hard to ensure every child has a wonderful experience here at Young Oaks.
I really like when I pick up my son at the end of the day to listen to a feedback from his teachers about his day ..as there are always great stories of him having fun during the day.
