From the very first meeting with the manager at Buttercups Pre-school I knew it was the right place for my son. The location is in a beautiful, peaceful village and the village hall set up is unlike any I have seen. It is cosy and the rooms are set up so well you wouldn't think it was a pack away setting, the room is used to its full potential and has role play areas set up, with the theme changing regularly. There is an outdoor court yard where the children have access to water, sand play and more. They often go on walks around the village. All staff work extremely hard, they are warm, welcoming and amazing with children. My son has been attending for nearly two years and he settled in so well, even after so much time off due to the pandemic he has happily returned like he never went away. The staff worked extremely hard over the lockdown's, keeping in contact weekly with Zoom sessions and sending activities home, all whilst staying open for key workers. I couldn't recommend a preschool anymore.
Buttercups Pre-school is a lovely traditional setting in a quiet village location. It is a small and caring environment and my son absolutely loves attending. They make the most of the rural surroundings and do a lot of outdoor exploring. The staff are all very professional and nurturing and work very hard to bring out the best of each child. The children do a range of activities and have so much fun. It really is a unique and special place. I cannot recommend it enough.
My little boy loves attending Buttercups. The staff are so professional, caring and friendly. The village hall is a lovely setting. The children go on regular walks around the beautiful village of North Runcton. In the setting they do so many interesting learning activities every day, from bread making to looking at germs under a microscope! I know my child is learning in a safe, nurturing and happy environment and cannot recommend Buttercups enough!
I would recommend Buttercups to other parents. The nursery is a lovely, friendly place for toddlers and preschool children to learn and play.
The setting is well prepared, even though it has to be packed away at the end of sessions. It has a warm, cosy feel to it. Staff are lovely, my child loves going here and I hope to send my youngest here when he gets to that age.
A really lovely little place that is well maintained and excellent staff team. They do good seasonal events. My daughter loves going here.
I can highly recommend this nursery. Staff take time to understand each individual child and work with them to bring out the best in them. They are compassionate yet have consistently high standards, especially where behaviour is concerned. They teach children to work together and to respect each other but also encourage each child in their individual needs and strengths. Communication with parents is excellent and they are always positive. Nothing is too much for them.
Both myself and my husband are very happy with Buttercups. Our son has settled in well. The staff are fantastic. We would highly recommend Buttercups.
I am very impressed with the service provided. Staff are excellent and have a really lovely relationship with the children. Kids take up lots of different activities and tasks through the day and it’s lovely to see the results. I love how my child improves there every day.
As a nursery should be, a warm, happy environment. Not too much pressure on the structure requirements but the natural development of the individual.
My daughter has been attending this pre-school since January 2016. All the staff are very friendly, kind and easy to talk to and ask advice from. I always experience a personal update after every session as to how she has got on. They always go out of their way to provide activities to ensure she is always progressing. My daughter has had health problems which they have understood and helped to ensure she receives the proper medication and care. To have this excellent support and trust is a big benefit so I can relax and concentrate at work knowing she is in excellent hands.
Buttercups Pre-school provides a truly wonderful experience for every child. Staff are calm, attentive and nurturing. My daughter loves going there and always has stories to tell her friends and family about her experience there. Staff keep parents well informed and create opportunities for parents to attend with their children for special learning and play activities. I feel very happy knowing that my child's needs are carefully considered in this setting. I cannot recommend Buttercups enough.
The staff are extremely professional with a personal touch and took extra care of our son, who is the youngest in the group. We are impressed with the rotation of activities, which provides variation and interest for the children. There are several children with extra needs who seem to be well catered for, although the preschool could certainly benefit from more staff/resources. In general, the children are all well behaved and the environment is conducive to learning.
My youngest attended Buttercups for nearly 2 years before he left to go to school and I couldn’t be happier with his time there. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and it was obvious they all loved the children. I was always made aware of how he had got on that day and trusted that I would be contacted if there were any problems, not that there ever was. Without a doubt, with the help of the staff, his time at Buttercups has made his transition to school a whole lot easier.
I can confirm that my son was extremely happy during his 2 years of attending Buttercups Preschool. The staff are well trained, professional, caring and kind! They have been consistently understanding and flexible to all needs. The communication is great between the staff and parents. The atmosphere is happy, safe and relaxed. I am pleased to say that when my son joined Primary School he had been taught the basics such as writing his name, writing numbers from 1-10, recognize the basic shapes and colours. As well as this, he was taught how to sit still, concentrate, share and interact with other children. All of this stood him in very good stead for joining Primary School. I am more than happy to recommend Buttercups Preschool to any parent who is considering sending their child to pre-school.
Very friendly staff. My son loved every minute he was there. He learnt a lot during his time. He enjoyed all the variety of activities done on a frequent basis and learnt a lot of diverse information. Would thoroughly recommend this nursery.
My youngest child has spent an incredibly happy 2 years here and I've already recommended it to several parents of toddlers! The staff are amazing! Having had 2 older children attend a different nursery I am so glad I made the step to use Buttercups as the service all round was of a much higher quality to what I'd experienced before!
Great nursery. My child made great progress and loved going to Buttercups. The staff were great and there was a good range of different activities.
Buttercups could not do more for my child. An amazing group of staff and so supportive and helpful. Would recommend to everyone.
I have been sending my son to this nursery part-time for the last two years and he has been supported with his learning and socialising with other children really well.
All the staff are really friendly, professional and genuinely caring and take the time to discuss any issues or concerns which put my mind at rest when I first started to leave my son in their care.
It was lovely to see each child had their own special book full of photos and activities that they had been up to. My son comes home most weeks telling me about all the exciting activities he has been up to, which is very reassuring from a mother's perspective.
I can't recommend this little village pre-school highly enough.
