Little Learners Childcare Northampton

Our 11-month daughter has now been attending this nursery for a month. We attended the open day back in the summer and were obviously very impressed. The lady who showed us round was clearly very passionate about younger years education and the nursery. The feel of the nursery is home from home and the building inside is beautiful. The settling in sessions was useful and we got to meet our daughter's key worker at our home. By the third session, I was confident my daughter would be fine. The staff, in general, are very friendly and helpful. The staff in the baby room, in particular, have been amazing with my family, I couldn't praise them enough. I and my husband have already noticed a change in our daughter, being much more confident and adventurous. We look forward to seeing her blossom over the years there. The owner must be extremely proud of her staff. 100% recommend.

I would highly recommend Little Learners Nursery due to the staffs caring, engaging and enthusiastic approach. When my little boy first started at the age of 2 it took him about a month to settle but he had never been in a larger setting before. This was in his nature and I am glad I persisted as he is now three and a half and has so much to say about his learning during the day. He eats brilliantly there and on the odd occasion of picking up early the meals look and smell very scrummy - the fact that he eats so much at nursery but is fussy at home shows how great the staff are at supporting eating habits. When asking about his day i.e. food and sleep etc... a member of staff has ALWAYS been able to inform us on how his day has been. There is an emphasis on being able to use natural materials and objects to have fun and not needing pre-made toys... his imagination has grown. It has been the best decision for us!

At first our son appeared to settle well in the nursery. However, after a few months the amount of children increased and it felt overcrowded there at times. We did not get the feeling that our son enjoyed it there and at the end he did not want to go there. There were some nice staff and we felt that had some awareness about individual child. However, sometimes we felt that when we went to collect our son some of them were not sure what he was doing during the day. To find a parking space outside the nursery was challenging as the car park was often cramped. Most of the spaces in the car park were taken by staff and if we were lucky to get a space will end to be blocked by someone so we will struggle to get out or we will have to block someone in order to park. On the positive side the nursery was flexible in accommodating our needs with regards to the sessions and claiming free entitlement.
