Rated Outstanding by Ofsted (April 2023), Wandsworth Bridge Nursery & Pre-School provides childcare and education to children from birth to 5 years old.

The Nursery is based in Fulham, not far from Wandsworth Town station. It's a spacious, modern setting with a garden for all-weather outdoor activities.

The friendly, dedicated staff run lots of activities designed to bring out the potential in every child. The children enjoy science experiments like 'Pumpkin Explosions', cooking, gardening, construction, creating small worlds, messy play with sand and water, and more. They often venture outside too, with visits to the local shops, library and care home.

A dedicated on-site chef prepares balanced meals using recipes from LEYF’s nutritious menu.

Our child very much enjoys going to the nursery school. She loves all activities that are open to them. As parents, we are happy to see our child develop so well. The staff gives a lot of individual attention to the children and we are impressed by the quick progress made by our child. Our child joined
the nursery in September last year and did not speak English at the time. Now she is so confident and makes herself understood. The nursery also has great facilities, including an outside garden with plants (planted by the children). Children also go regularly to parks and playgrounds nearby and it offers good visits out of the school (eg. fire brigade, hospital, to give books to children there, dentist ...).

When my son first started they helped him settle in quickly and smoothly, which I was pleased with. He has been attending for a while now and he's made friends with both children and teachers.
I feel like since he first started to now it has slightly gone downhill as no one really tells you how your
child is getting on, sometimes nappy would not be clean on pick up.

Townmead Community Nursery's staff is very competent and warm and knows how to make children feel welcome and comfortable. My 2 children attended Townmead Community Nursery and enjoyed it very much, even though they are very different in character and interests. I would highly recommend Townmead Community
Nursery to any parent.

Our nursery was awarded 'outstanding' by OFSTED and all children and parents were invited to celebrate such a great achievement. It was an amazing event and we had a sense of involvement and sharing. Children, parents and management all worked together and credits were given to all. Besides, we had
a brilliant party! A great nursery!
Children are happy, given all the attention, parents are involved, management is open to suggestions, helpful and accommodating. Top Nursery!

My son enjoys being in Townmead Community Nursery a lot. We believe and know that our son can't wait in the morning to go to nursery. Staff are very helpful, friendly and very professional. Our son, for the time being here, has learnt a lot and is very happy. Always talks about the staff at nursery
and saying good words. Excellent, keep up with good work.

Since joining the Nursery my daughter has developed in so many ways. She is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going to nursery every day. We put much of this down to the care and attention she has received at the Nursery.

Leyf Townmead Community Nursery is a brilliant nursery. They have managed to settle my child easily and made me feel comfortable. The staff are an asset to not only the business but the community. They really are silent heroes. Nothing could ever repay them for the work with my child.

Townmead Community Nursery offers excellent education for my 4-year-old who has been attending full-time since she was 2-years-old. She has developed so much and learnt English to a native standard in a couple of months, even though it was her 2nd language.
I'm impressed by the staff's professionalism,
skills and dedication to make the nursery a happy and safe place that feels like a 2nd home.

My experience at Townmead Community Nursery has been remarkable. My daughter has been attending for coming up to 2 years now and she loves it there. She loves the staff, the Chef, her peers and most of all she's enjoying going. She's always telling me how she's going to miss preschool when she starts
primary school. She's built good relationships with the staff and children. I have and would recommend the nursery to my friends and family with children.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.183)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.183) out of 10 for Wandsworth Bridge Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Wandsworth Bridge Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (69 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.225 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wandsworth Bridge Nursery & Pre-School is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 number of registered child places is 9.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.6 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
