Hither Green Nursery & Pre-School

It is a great place for kids. Very kind, loving and experienced teachers. The surroundings are great with its own outdoor space. We know we are leaving our little one in good hands. The daytime is well organized with opportunity for kids to learn variety of skills. The paint, they bake, they play the music, sing songs, they learn to look after the bunny. My baby is happy to go there, on Sunday she starts saying names of her nursery friends and teachers.

The nursery has a great outdoor space which children enjoy all the time in all weather. My niece always looks happy whenever I collect and happy to go in the morning. She talks about her day and enjoys the trip to the community and weekly cooking activities and loves her teachers.

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our daughter has at LEYF Hither Green Nursery and Preschool in London. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, making sure our child feels valued and secure. Our daughter loves the activities, trips and learning especially the art and storytime sessions, which have really boosted her creativity and social skills. The nursery also maintains excellent communication with us, providing regular updates that give us peace of mind. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our daughter's early years learning and experiences.

Our two boys have attended LEYF in Hither Green and we have been very happy with their care and our choice of nursery. The staff are fantastic and we wanted to take the opportunity to single out four staff members in particular for praise. They have been outstanding with our youngest and in the case of one staff member, central to the development of both our boys. There is a friendly and positive atmosphere about the place, great outdoor space and a real desire to use it, and our sons have always loved their time at nursery. the two ladies in management have been excellent managers, overseeing the transition into the LEYF family and are a welcoming presence whenever you are there. This is a great place, with a friendly parent group, and a lovely atmosphere created by the excellent staff.

Communication is seamless thanks to the nursery’s app - daily and weekly updates on my child’s progress keep me informed and reassured. This was a major issue at the previous nursery and so I cannot stress enough how important this was for me. Overall I am extremely happy and I wish to thank everyone at the nursery for their continued hard work and dedication.

My daughter goes to Hither Green Nursery and my son will start in the baby room in May. We are happy with the nursery and have seen a real improvement in the rooms and building since the new management took over. They have great outdoor space and healthy food (no sugar!) which is great. I would recommend this nursery to others for sure.

We love the nursery - staff who are really loving, attentive and fun, and who do a range of brilliant activities with the kids. A great outdoor space, lots of outside time, trips to the community, and the food is home-cooked, healthy and diverse. Our older son is now at school but thrived here, and our youngest attends three days a week and really enjoys it. We've found the staff to be really thoughtful, caring and invested in the kids' wellbeing - a credit to the organisation. Highly recommend.

The staff are very welcoming, my child always talks about her lovely experiences in the setting. The new new outdoor space is amazing and we are very pleased to see all the beautiful decorations. The teachers are supportive during drop-off in terms of helping to settle the children.

We're really happy with Hither Green Nursery. Our daughter started there when she was just 10 months old, and now at 2 years old, she loves going there every day. The staff are caring and great with the kids, and communication with us has been excellent. The nursery has lots of outdoor space, which is perfect for little ones to play in. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good nursery.

Our daughter attends this nursery and loves it. The staff are amazing, forming close bonds with the kids and providing a fun, nurturing environment for them. They do loads of activities and the outside play space is lovely. Communication is good and there's a really nice sense of community. Would recommend.

Our two sons go to LEYF Hither Green (formerly known as Lysth). They are both very happy there - the staff are very loving and caring; there is good outdoor space; and we see some real structural improvements with the new management (since LEYF took over last year). We’d gladly recommend the nursery to other parents in the area.

When my daughter started her first day in December 2020 she was crying because she didn’t want to come home, she loved it so much from her first day. The staff and management there are highly skilled and professional, ten out of ten. My daughter she still love it every day, it’s one of the best nursery in Lewisham.

Great standard of care from the Lysth Nursery team. Lots of different parts in the nursery for children to explore and to keep them motivated. Friendly and welcoming team. Always keeping parents updated with child progress, especially daily diary logs in the nursery app which keeps parents updated on what the child has been up to for the day. Would highly recommend this nursery.

The staff at Lysth Nursery provide great care and meet both children and parent needs and expectations. Always updating the child's progress on the nursery app which is very secure and a great way for parents to be acknowledged of what children have been doing at their time in the nursery.

Our little one who is almost a 'three-nager' has been attending the nursery since he turned one and he absolutely loves it there. The staff are so caring and passionate and they really make good use of the outdoor space available to them, which creates a lot of fun but above all really allows little explorers to grow curious and independently. Not sure what else I could say? We love it. Our son has thrived and formed a beautiful bond with all members. We feel supported and involved at every step of the way. There is an app to track progress and daily observations. The menu is very nutritional and cooked fresh on-site every day by the lovely chef. The activities are excellent and fun. We honestly only have good things to say! Lysth is our extended family and they operate on similar values to ours so we really value their work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

Our daughter goes to Lysth. It really is a lovely little nursery. The big plus for us was the emphasis on the outdoors. The nursery manager said to me that there is no such thing as bad weather - just bad clothing choices - and it's true. They have loads of activities for the little ones and a really good and varied menu. The staff are all wonderful and genuinely care for all the children. I speak to other parents and at the 'gates' most days and I've yet to hear a bad word. We've already recommended the nursery to friends from our NCT group and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

My son has been at the nursery for under a year now but loves it a lot. He looks forward to going there every morning. They do have a lot of messy play activities indoors and outdoors, which is super fun for my child. I'm glad that he can do it at the nursery rather than at home. They spend a lot of time outdoors as well. It's easy to communicate with the nursery, always get a quick reply and feel comfortable raising my concerns if any which have been dealt with very promptly. Early opening and late closing is very convenient for working parents. Definitely would recommend it.

The management and staff work hard to provide a safe environment where the children can grow, learn and thrive. I am impressed with the way the children are engaged and the amount of time that is spent outdoors. Staff are really effective in encouraging the children to use their imaginations and to build things eg. pirate ship/stage for performances from everyday objects. They encourage children to be disciplined with minimal use of punishment. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our daughter has settled in like a dream to this nursery, no tears whatsoever, even on day one! This tells you all you need to know. This is a warm and nurturing environment where children and babies are cared for by a team of excellent staff. Leadership is great. Communication and relationships with parents, families and the children are strong and they have a wonderful outdoors, healthy, forest schools ethos.

Our little boy (who is now 18 months old) has been going to this nursery for two days a week for the last two and a half or so months. He is very emotionally attached to his parents and we have had issues at other nurseries in the past with him having some separation anxiety. It is also very difficult to leave something so precious as a young child in the care of others.

So far, we are really pleased with how warm and caring the staff are and how happy our son has been since visiting this nursery and also how well he is developing with his language and social skills. All the staff I have met I have found to be honest, informative and demonstrate a genuine caring attitude towards all the children. When I go to collect my little boy it is a very quick and slick operation; the nursery uses a digital reader for access. My son is usually happily playing but greets his dad with a hug and a smile like he has had a good day.
