Discovery Nursery and Preschool - Greenford

Lovely nursery, staff are great! The manager is an amazing owner. My daughter was in the nursery and preschool for two years, didn’t want her to leave as her development within the nursery was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Discovery Nursery and Preschool had provided a second home for my daughter. She started this nursery after being distressed and unhappy in her previous setting. Discovery Team welcomed her in such a positive yet professional manner that she enjoyed her time from the very first day. My daughter has learnt lots of things which prepared her well for the school. She practised phonics and maths on a daily basis through play. She enjoyed doing gymnastics and learning Spanish. She formed positive relationships with peers and staff. What is important she outcome her shyness and became a confident student ready for learning at school.

This is a truly wonderful nursery for our 18-month-old daughter. What I find perhaps most inspiring is how all of the staff work so tirelessly and care so much and do all of this with such warmth and happiness.

Every day at drop off and collection there is a feelgood factor just bursting through the front door as I drop my daughter off. Being so attached to her parents she found the settling in period pretty challenging, but the staff went above and beyond what is reasonable to meet this challenge and my daughter now keeps pointing back at the door to go back in the building when I collect her (how rude!).

Our son started at Discovery in March 2017 when he was 11 months old. We had difficulty deciding between Discovery and a much larger nursery with lots of children, facilities, and outdoor space. We chose Discovery in the end, as all the children seemed genuinely happy there, and the staff were warm, caring, and attentive. Although the other nursery had excellent facilities, the staff members caring for the children looked bored by their jobs. We wanted a nursery where our son would be stimulated, loved, and well cared for. I am happy to say that Discovery is doing an excellent job in all these areas. The settling-in process was exceptional. The manager and deputy understood how anxious I was about leaving my baby and made the whole process as easy as possible. We get regular updates and photos, and the staff are always gracious enough to stop and chat, even when they are busy. This delightful little nursery is a home away from home, and overall we couldn't be happier with our choice.

Amazing staff, very friendly, my son loved them all and made the whole process of leaving my son every morning so much easier for me. Would highly recommend to parents as a first nursery as it has a very homely feel. I was always kept up to date with my son's progress and the staff were always willing to stop and chat and share stories of how my son got on throughout the day.

My daughter attended the nursery for a year and she was very happy there. She has moved on to big school now but still misses her nursery teachers and friends.

There was a great variety of activities for the children every day and staff were very caring and love the children.

My son was very stubborn and doesn't like to share his toys. He is 3 years old and we've got twins who are a year and a half and he doesn't like to be around them since they were born. Discovery Nursery did lots of hard work and I really like the staff of the nursery. They are humble and polite, they teach him how to share things. My son is very polite which they taught him in the nursery, now he always says please and thank you. We have seen a massive change in his behaviour, he loves to be there now. At the start he was crying and shouting but now he doesn't like to leave the nursery. All the credit goes to the staff and especially the owner who is very well trained and very professional and helpful. I am definitely going to send my twins there as soon as they turn two. My son attended Discovery Nursery for 18 months before moving onto school and I cannot praise them highly enough!

The staff are all lovely, friendly, nurturing, welcoming and genuinely interested in the children that attend the nursery and supporting their development. The nursery provides such a range of learning and development opportunities, whilst always keeping things fun and interesting. My son absolutely loved being there!

The nursery manager and owner are both excellent and things were always well organised. The nursery offers great communication with parents through each child having diaries, emails, newsletters, their website and key staff members always being present during pick up and drop off times.

I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

I love this nursery! My daughter is so very happy there and I find all the staff to be attentive, friendly and everything you would want from a nursery. They truly care about all of the kids and it shows in everything they do.

Since day 1 we were welcomed in a very friendly and warm way! My daughter is 100% happy and comfortable there, she would be there day and night! The staff are very friendly, caring and encouraging. They really put their heart and soul in teaching this little people to excel and have the best in early years! It is a small place but to me they look like a big happy family! They have a lot of activities to keep the children busy reading, gymnastics, cooking etc) and plenty time outdoors. I am already proud of how much my daughter learned.
