Charlton Nursery - Flax Bourton

We've had a really lovely experience with the nursery. The staff are so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring, which has made a big difference in how settled and happy our child is. Communication has been great, and it's reassuring to know he's in such a safe and supportive environment. You can really see how much effort the whole team puts into the children every day. Thank you to Amy and everyone at the nursery - we really appreciate all that you do.

Charlton Nursery, Flax Bourton has been a wonderfully supportive and friendly environment for our daughter (3 years). The staff are very approachable and clearly have the welfare and development of children as the number one priority. Handovers are always thorough and the amount of play and learning activities on offer every day is always rich and varied. The additional activities such as yoga, French and forest school are always highlights. We fully trust the team at Flax with supporting our daughter through to when she is ready to start school. We would recommend this nursery to friends and family and have been really happy with the service that the manager and her team have provided to both of our children since 2020.

I wish I could give Charlton Nursery more than 5 stars. In December 2024 we suffered a huge family loss and the support that both I, and my son have received from Charlton was incredible. They have gone above and beyond to care for us both. My son loves going to nursery and has a lovely relationship with all the staff. I am so grateful for all the staff at Charlton.

My 2-year-old son attends Charlton Flax Bourton and has always loved it there. It's a great setting with lovely staff that make it feel like a home from home. A special mention for two ladies - they are both brilliant, setting the tone for the nursery and how my son's room is managed. As a result of my son's experience, I have friends who have also enrolled at the nursery as they have seen how much he loves it there. Thank you Team Flax for all that you do!

Charlton Nursery has been an amazing experience for our family. My son (3 years old) had to change nursery a year ago when we moved across the country, and he settled in so quickly. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and empathetic. It feels like a team effort, with regular check ins and reviews. They helped us with potty training and were supportive when he needed help with brushing his teeth. The outdoor space and activities are excellent and my son loves yoga, French and football. The daily menu is enviable too.

We all feel very welcome and they love their teachers.

The care and experience at the nursery have exceeded our expectations. The general manager is outstanding. The team pays special attention to the needs of each child. The facilities are great and as parents, we feel like we are involved and a part of the community. Our daughter has settled incredibly well due to the kindness and patience of the staff.

We are very happy with the exceptional care our son receives at Charlton. Each and every person is kind, well trained, and gets to know your child properly. I feel very confident leaving my son in their care. Charlton is a lovely environment with lots on offer (music class and French for example) and always looks clean and well-maintained. We feel very lucky to have found this nursery, it shone compared to the others we visited.

My youngest recently joined the nursery in Daffodils room and has some more complex needs when it comes to feeding, due to an extended stay in hospital from birth. The entire team at Charlton have been nothing but completely and utterly supportive and reassuring. They made his transition into nursery seamless and bent over backward to make it happen. They've been amazing at communicating with me and the girls in daffodils have been so kind and patient in learning his quirks. We've already seen such huge progress in his eating habits after just 2 weeks and that's entirely down to the work the team has done with him. I have no worries about leaving either of my children at Charlton because I know they are in the best possible care.

I have two children at Charlton Nursery Flax Bourton and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the welcome and settling period, right through to the pre-school prep the manager and her staff do an amazing job at developing children at all stages. The staff is always prepared to give you their time to discuss your children and how they are individualising development for them with regular focus weeks on each child. There is a wide range of activities done so children can always find something they enjoy.
