Uplands Nursery aims to provide the best possible start to each and every child's educational career: promoting independence and confidence; monitoring and developing key personal and academic skills; celebrating and modelling core values and nurturing a love of learning. The skills and values that they will promote will prepare every child for transition into primary school.

This is an excellent opportunity to enable children to commence their education in close association with a highly successful school from the age of three.

The nursery offers a flexible provision, comprising of sessions in either the morning or the afternoon as well as lunchtime sessions. Every three-year-old is entitled to a maximum of 15 hours of free-funded provision, though parents may request additional sessions and pay a fee for the time over and above the funded hours.

My son joined Uplands Nursery in September 2015. I had never left him in childcare and was concerned how he would settle in, I had nothing to worry about, he settled immediately. This was thanks to the amazing staff. He even wanted to spend his birthday at nursery rather than Legoland!
The staff are
amazing, caring and give each child the attention they need. He has learnt so much and comes home every day chatting about what he has done that day. It has been a perfect foundation on which to start his schooling.
The facilities are great, the rooms are set up perfectly for the children, play areas changed frequently and physical education incorporated into their week too.
I canot recommended Uplands Nursery highly enough. We will be very sad to leave at the end of term but would like to thank the whole nursery team for making his time there so enjoyable.

My Daughter has attended this Nursery for approximately 2 years and I have been delighted with her development and her behaviour since starting. They are just wonderful staff and super patient and good fun, promoting learning whilst playing. They often organise workshops for the children depending on
the season and subject they are learning that week. They playground has all the facilities you'd hope for and more for them to play and enjoy being outdoors. The nursery itself inside has an easy flow feel to it and activities placed out for the little ones to look at.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone with little ones and my daughter would run to start class in the morning which shows you how important this nursery is to my daughter.

A really nursery with friendly, helpful staff. Everyone works so hard to make the children feel welcome and continue by being so enthusiastic everyday. My son settled in very quickly and has developed so many useful skills due to the nursery and it's staff.

My daughter has been going to Uplands Nursery for a year, since she turned 3, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are experienced, friendly and very informative. They take the time to get to know the children and this is clearly evident in the termly reports they send out. There is a
great variety of activities the children can choose from playing in a mud kitchen, on the slide, with sand and water, to indoor games, crafts and reading. My daughter loves the "set-ups" which change frequently from a vets, a kitchen, a hairdressers to a hospital. The staff spend time working with the children on phonics and writing their name. My daughter is always happy to go and is showing a real interest in learning; she is very proud when she receives a sticker for the "great tidying up they all did". She even got to hold a small owl and see the reindeers, which have been real highlights this year. I have no doubt that she will start reception in September more prepared and confident.

Our son's experience at Uplands Nursery was above and beyond what we expected.
Each day was full and varied affording him a very well balanced education and social experience.


The teachers were all exceptional, patient and caring. Our son spoke highly of each one. He established very special friendships

thanks to the nurturing and social environment. He was always happy to go and came back happy each day with many stories of his exciting day. His learning journey was exceptional and it was remarkable to see him recognising letters, sounds, numbers, shapes and knowing so many facts about the world around him.


Our son was very positive about school and learning making his transition and adjustment to mainstream school easier.


We highly recommend Uplands as an exceptional choice for anyone who wants to ensure their child is prepared for school.

My twin girls went to Uplands Nursery from Sept 14 to July 15. Both my husband and I were immensely impressed by the service provided. Each day was structured whilst maintaining the 'fun' element for the children. The teachers genuinely care for the children and provide a wonderful environment for their
introduction to learning. Both my girls, young for their school year, have started reception leaps ahead by knowing their phonics, alphabet and a good grasp of how to hold their pencils to form letters and words. They were both on reading books within a month of starting school. We have nothing but positive praise for all that worked at the nursery and thank them for the fantastic start they gave our girls.

This is a lovely nursery, with great staff, fantastic facilities inside and out.

I have been hugely impressed with both the set up and staffing at Uplands Nursery. My boy joined them in September, very nervous and had real issues with separation. His key worker helped patiently to get him settled, going beyond, I'm sure, her expected duties. Drop off went from being hugely stressful
for us all to happy & content within a few weeks. My son is very happy there and knows all the staff well and feels confident and comfortable going in. Some days he gets cross that it's the weekend!


The flow of the rooms works well for individual choice play and I think there are great opportunities for shared experiences also. Additionally I love the reporting system giving you a real birds eye view to what our cherubs get up to.

Uplands is an outstanding nursery that goes above and beyond when it comes to the care of my daughter. My daughter has been at Uplands since she turned 3 over a year ago. She can sometimes be very insecure, but all the staff here are excellent, and make me as a parent feel confident in the occasions
I leave her crying!
She has developed emotionally, physically and academically since starting at Uplands. She is a very independent little girl. I have no doubt that a lot of this is down to the nursery.
The nursery itself is only 18 months old, and is therefore very bright and modern. It has 2 lovely big rooms and a huge outside play area which is used all year round. The nursery is attached to an outstanding school, and the nursery children are lucky enough to be able to use the school's facilities for Cooking and PE. They are able to watch the school plays and take part in their activities.
I would 100% recommend Upands to anyone looking for a nursery in Sandhurst.

My daughter has been coming for over a year now, I think the staff are absolutely amazing. She loves coming to nursery everyday. Everyday is an adventure, which I can't wait to hear about. I'm so pleased with the progress she has made. The Learning experience and care she has had, has been outstanding.
She is always very motivated on reading and writing at home. I also think it is great that we as parents have the support from the teachers if needed.
I will be so sad when she leaves, as we are not in catchment, so unfortunately she will not be going through to the school. However I truly believe that the learning experience starts from the bottom and I'm so happy that she has had the best start given to her. I'm 100% confident that where ever she goes onto next she will have a great start.

The nursery is, in my opinion, a perfect first step into schooling. The staff are amazing, always approachable and it's very clear that they care about each and every child; whilst also understanding how important their role is at the beginning of so many children's learning journeys.


My daughter

didn't settle in immediately but the staff were very supportive to both myself and my daughter to help us through it - I now have a happy girl who looks forward to seeing her friends and telling her teachers about all the things she gets up to on the days she doesn't attend the nursery.

My daughter started in Uplands after Easter in 2015. The nursery as been amazing for her, she has grown and Learnt so much. The staff are all amazing and really work with the children and spark their imagination. My daughter loves to learn and is always coming back with new things she has learnt. She
has exceeded my expectations. I only wish it had been opened for my son! I can't recommend it enough.

Uplands nursery is by far one of the best I had visited in the local area before submitting my application. The staff and learning environment are second to none. The staff are welcoming, friendly, approachable and happy to meet your needs and that of the child. My daughter has been attending Uplands
since April 2015 and is excited to go to nursery and comes home raving about the learning and fun day had. Uplands nursery has exceeded my expectations by far and long may this continue. I cannot thank Uplands enough for the foundations laid for my little ones learning pathway.

I have found Uplands to be excellent through the teachers with my daughter. They have had so many activities through meeting reindeer at Christmas time, to going to the theatre to see Cinderella. My daughter has come on so much through talking and now writing her name and counting.
I like the nursery
because they meet with the school, I feel my daughter will have no transition when starting school this September.
