I have had 2 children at Riverside Holly Road and a 3rd will start soon. There are great facilities, imaginative activities, plenty of outside opportunities in the local community green spaces. All boxes ticked, but the staff are everything. Kind, fun, engaging.

My daughter absolutely loves going to the nursery. She is super excited about spending time with her friends, doing various well thought out activities and enjoys all the crafts they are doing! She loves learning phonics and other activities they have like forest school, yoga, didi dance and spanish.
She is well settled and comfortable with her teachers and I would absolutely recommend Holly road as a nursery!

We've had a truly wonderful experience with Riverside Nursery, both Grosvenor House and Holly Road. From the moment our daughter joined, it was clear that this nursery holds itself to the highest standards. The staff are very professional and well-trained, they also show genuine care and attentiveness
towards each child.
Our daughter has thrived here, both socially and academically. It genuinely feels like a level of early education above what many school-based nurseries offer. We're incredibly grateful for the positive foundation this nursery has given her.

Our daughter loves nursery! She moved to the toddler room in September 2024 and very quickly settled into her new environment. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and offer great advice. The communication with parents is exceptional, the app is always updated regularly, photos and updates are posted
more than weekly and they respond within the hour if you post through the app. The staff are always willing to take the time to speak about anything whether it's initiated from their side or the family side. The assessments are thorough and clear and we love that we get to go in and speak face to face with the practitioners to discuss. The food menu offers a good range, although could be a little more 'child friendly'. I love that they teach the children independence through their self service.
The activities are varied and our daughter enjoys all of them. The children are taken to the garden area or out on walks daily which is great. Would highly recommend!

Our daughter has been at riverside for three and a half year, first at Grosvenor House and now at Holly Road. The team has always been kind, warm, knowledgable, caring and invested in our daughter's wellbeing and growth. We have always felt she was very well taken care of and was always keen to go to
nursery to experience all the excitement, play and development which is on offer.
Now at Holly Road, the toddler and pre-schooler rooms are really well thought through and allow for so much imagination, play and learning opportunities.
We feel confident recommending Riverside Grosvenor House and Holly Road to parents in the area.

Both my sons have attended the nursery and we have had at least one child at the nursery now for 5 years. Staff have inevitably come and gone over the 5 years, but they have all been wonderful and my sons have formed some very strong bonds with some staff in particular. Both have also made some really
good friends and I have seen how well it prepared my elder son for school. We shall be very sad to say goodbye come September.

Bright Beginnings Twickenham provides a fun and welcoming environment for our daughter. We notice she is developing into a highly sociable and expressing little girl, who has formed strong mutual bonds with her carers. The only drawback is the lack of outdoor space owing to the town centre location.
But this is compensated for by daily walks to many open spaces nearby. As with all London nurseries, the care is expensive hence I only mark value for money as "satisfactory" but that is more a comment on the market, not the care itself.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 8 months old and now about to graduate from the preschool. We have been very happy with how she has been cared for in particular she has formed a great bond with every key person, and the staff are always very competent and kind. In preschool, in particular,
my daughter's speech and pronunciation have improved in response to the early phonics exercises they've been doing and she is showing an interest in spelling and sounding out words. My youngest will start here in the autumn, so am very happy to recommend.

I would highly recommend Bright Beginnings Day Nurseries, Twickenham. Both my sons attended since they were about 9-months-old (they are now 4 and 6) and the staff and care has always been fantastic.

My daughter has been at Bright Beginnings since she was 9 months. She is now 4 years old and has always loved it. The staff are fabulous, genuinely care and there is very little staff turnover which means they really get to know the children. I have never worried about her when she is at nursery.

Misty Oldfield

Job Title: Head of Nursery Joined: 2026

Michaela (Misty) brings a remarkable depth of expertise to Holly Road, with particular strength in supporting children with additional needs. Her extensive qualifications include a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, a Level 5 Award in EYFS Teaching (achieved with Higher Distinction), a Complete SEND Diploma (Levels 2, 3 & 4), and an Autism Awareness Diploma. She is also an Early Years SENCO certified through the Best Practice Network and holds the RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid.


Throughout her career, Misty has gained invaluable experience working with children with a wide range of additional needs, including Collus Syndrome, Down's Syndrome, Cochlear Implants, Cerebral Palsy, speech and language delays, and autism. Her knowledge enables her to create inclusive environments where every child receives the tailored support they need to flourish.


Misty's philosophy is rooted in the belief that we must develop each child's unique gifts into qualities that enrich the world around us. She understands that her role is not to fill empty vessels with knowledge, but to guide children towards achieving their full potential. Her training in EAL support and experience working with refugee families further demonstrates her commitment to inclusive, compassionate care.


An advocate for team development, Misty is passionate about ongoing training and mentoring practitioners. At Holly Road, she is leading the team through an exciting period of growth and development, ensuring every child receives exceptional care and education.
