Young England Kindergarten is truly the best start you can give your child. My two girls had 4 wonderful years there between them and Lucinda and the incredible team cared for them like they were their own. Both my girls ran into 'big school' without looking back and I know it was because of the confidence,
learning and love they'd been given at YEK. Thank you for all the energy and love you gave to them - and me!

The BEST nursery in London. Incredible teachers and staff. A very happy, safe and wholesome place. My child settled in very quickly and was happy going in every morning. The current head teacher is doing an outstanding job!

Young England Kindergarten has been such an important part of our children's early years. All three of our children have thrived here, and as parents we've always felt supported and guided. The staff are warm, communicative, and deeply committed to working in partnership with families. They are brilliant
at helping you secure the right onward school for your child and family, and children leave Young England extremely well prepared-often ahead of their peers in phonics and communication skills. The sense of community-within the nursery and across the wider Pimlico area-is truly special. Our youngest left in June 2025, and we miss this magical place enormously.

We are absolutely delighted with Young England Pimlico. From the very first day, the staff made James feel welcome and secure, and he settled so quickly. The balance between structured learning and play has supported his development beautifully - especially his speech and confidence, which have grown
enormously. Lucinda's leadership gives the nursery a strong sense of direction, and communication with parents is always clear and reassuring. James goes in every morning with a big smile, which as parents says more than words ever could. The team really know each child as an individual and genuinely care for them. The creative activities, outdoor play and seasonal events make the nursery a truly special place. We feel very lucky to have found Young England Pimlico and would recommend it wholeheartedly to other families.

The staff at Young England are incredibly kind and caring. Our daughter came home happy every day and was always keen to go back the next day to see her friends and teachers. We watched her learn and evolve rapidly, and YEK will always have a special place in our and our daughter's hearts.

I was so grateful to find Yong England Kindergarten for my son. He had a wonderful time there, and I especially praise the consistent, affectionate, and enthusiastic team. Having sent my son to different nurseries before, I can say that the transition to YEK was incredibly smooth, and the improvement
I've seen since has been remarkable. The nursery's curriculum is outstanding, focusing on both educational and developmental needs. They also arrange various activities for both parents and children, fostering stronger bonds and creating a sense of community. The facilities are excellent, and the staff ensures a safe and nurturing environment. Special thanks to Head Teacher and Deputy for their dedication and care. If you're looking for a nurturing, well-rounded early education experience for your child, I highly recommend Young England Kindergarten.

My son joined Young England Kindergarten in September 2022 and is leaving for his big school this summer. We heartfeltly appreciate the head teacher, deputy head teacher, and all staff of YEK for what they have done to my son at the beginning of his life journey. My son is not a native English speaker.
Actually, he did not speak English at all when he joined YEK in 2022. He encountered a big challenge on English language and consequently a communication skill issue. Fortunately, we chose YEK, my son managed to overcome the issue with great support from YEK. The deputy head teacher continuously monitored my son's progress and arranged several particular programmes to help my son on his language and communication skill. My son made a proud improvement and he is ready for his big school now. Sincerely appreciated YEK.

Young England is a wonderful, happy nursery. The teachers and headteacher are so switched on, caring and fun with the children. They communicate effectively with parents. The children have a wonderful fun time with interesting and engaging activities in a richly stimulating environment. They have lots
of time outdoors whenever possible, fun trips and extra-curriculars. We couldn't have hoped for a more enjoyable and fulfilling nursery experience.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.753)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.753) out of 10 for Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.953 for Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.953
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.9
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
