My little girl has come on leaps and bounds since starting at little G's 9 months ago, also growing in confidence all the time. She loves going and I can see how happy she is when she's there. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming which creates a lovely atmosphere. I also love receiving
regular notifications about her progress and development. Cannot recommend Little G's enough.

My daughter loves Little G's and looks forward to seeing all her friends and enjoying her football classes. Since attending Little G's, she has grown in confidence and has developed fantastic relationships with her peers and the staff alike.
The daily Tapestry updates are very useful and in particular,
it helps me to know what she has willingly eaten at nursery that she refuses at home! The photo updates are lovely to see and because there is an explanation of how the photos relate to development milestones. It gives a general overview of how she is coming along in the different developmental areas.
Aside from online updates, the communication with staff is faultless both in person and by email - they know my child and they know me, plus they have a good sense of humour and show they genuinely care for my daughter.
My daughter will be moving on in September and I'm sure we are both going to miss Little G's for all the above reasons.

I cannot recommend Little G's more highly if I tried! My daughter started a little over a year ago and all the staff treat us like family.
It is a very warm and family-like environment and you can tell that they love and care for each child.
When I have baby number two I will definitely be sending
them to Little G's.
Love, love this nursery!

My little girl has been attending since she was 10 months old, she is now 3 and loves the nursery. She is like one of the family there which is what attracted to me to the nursery and this atmosphere was felt from the minute we entered the nursery. They have fantastic staff and you can ask them anything
and they are happy to answer any questions. With the expansion of the nursery, this has made a fantastic nursery off the scale.

You can see how much your little one learns on the online journal and it's great to get updates and pictures of what they have been up to and personally I notice how much my little girl has grown and developed so well and this is down to her time at the nursery. The staff know each child so well it makes it easy to leave knowing they are in safe hands. I would recommend this nursery to anyone my little boy is due to start in Jan 18 and I know he will have an amazing adventure and fun and learn so much. The nursery has great facilities to keep the little ones busy.

Fabulous nursery with dedicated staff team and great management. Any events, changes or issues are communicated clearly and as soon as possible. I particularly like that their use of technology systems allows you to see snapshots of your child's nursery activity and how they are progressing with educational
and emotional milestones. I'd highly recommend this nursery to my friends and family when they are looking for childcare.

My first child has been going since he was 9 months old and absolutely loves it. I have recently (Sept 2017) enrolled my second child and he has settled in perfectly. I find every aspect of the nursery fantastic but my favourite part is that I feel like I am leaving my children with family because that
is how they are treated. I would highly recommend Little G's as I have the utmost confidence in what they do.

My son started Little G's in October, he has come on leaps and bounds in such a short time. I am absolutely over the moon with his progress since being here and also feel so at ease with the staff. I call every morning to ensure he has settled okay and every time they answer they completely understand
and put my mind to rest. Any advice or questions I have had, have been answered honestly and without judgement even when I was simply looking into the nursery the director responded in a timely manor and in great detail. Nothing has ever been to much trouble for them.
I get photo updates and lots of feed back which reassures me that my son is making progress and has settled in well, I'm also seeing differences at home.
I couldn't recommend Little G's enough! I'm so pleased with my decision to send my son here, there is a brilliant family atmosphere!
My son is well and truly one of the "Little's".

Little G's is a small nursery that offers friendly and professional staff. My daughter loves nursery, she has come on leaps & bounds, she has learnt so much. The staff are caring, have excellent communication between each other, approachable and offer a warm, fun environment for my little girl to learn
and get as much as possible out of her time at nursery. I have recommended many friends to Little G's because of the above. I know my child is safe and well looked after, which in turn puts my mind at rest as a busy mum. The nursery is very clean, well looked after and maintained. Little G's is continually trying to improve the nursery for the better which shows month by month. Thank you, Little G's.

My daughter absolutely loves the nursery and staff, especially her key worker who she wants to show everything to when she's at home and asks to see her at weekends. There are lots of activities for them to do. The outside also has lots of activities however could be slightly bigger especially for older
kids. It feels like a very homely environment for the kids. The management are very friendly and take on board any suggestions you make. They also have an online journal so we can see updates of what our little ones have done throughout the day.

We are extremely pleased with the nursery and the staff is really good & friendly. The Managers have been very helpful and accommodating. It is very cosy and gives a personalised feeling with the staff being ever so warm and welcoming. The nursery does very well on general cleanliness and hygiene. The
activities for children are also well organized based on age and help in overall child development. The web application Tapestry is awesome and regular updates from the staff with pictures were superb with also the option for parents to add their comments and details of activities at home. All in all a perfect place for your child to be in a home away from home. It is a shame that we have to move out of Chorley and cant send our daughter to Little G's anymore. I believe she will miss the environment and the staff. Thank you all.

When we looked around several nurseries in September we knew this was the one for us, the staff were lovely and genuinely interested in my little boy from the first visit. Before starting at Little G's, my 17 month old had only occasionally been left with his grandparents, so I was very apprehensive
about leaving him. The staff have been brilliant at helping him settle in, were lovely when I phoned them to check how he was, and instantly picked up on what he enjoys. The nursery uses Tapestry, which is an online journal to record children's progress; it is great to see the photos of him having fun! When I collect him at the end of the day, he is happily absorbed in an activity, playing with or reading a book quietly in one of the comfy little chairs- it is always reassuring to see him content, and his confidence is growing each week.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.395)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.395) out of 10 for Little G's Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Little G's Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (77 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.478 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little G's Pre-school is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 9 = 0.778
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
