A Unique Early Years Experience in the Heart of Nature

If you're looking for a nursery that offers more than just childcare, Hatton Children’s Nursery could be the perfect choice for your family. Situated in a beautiful rural location on the outskirts of Warwick, amongst acres of open countryside, Hatton provides an exceptional early years environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive in nature.

What sets Hatton apart is its incredible outdoor space – including a private woodland forest, a large vegetable garden, and fields to explore. Children benefit from daily outdoor adventures, forest school-style activities led by a qualified forest school leader, and real-life experiences like collecting eggs from the chickens or harvesting fruit and vegetables they’ve helped to grow. Combining the best of both worlds: high-quality early education with the wonder of nature.

With small group sizes and a caring team of experienced early years practitioners, the nursery offers a child-centred approach that supports every stage of development. Each child is nurtured by a dedicated keyworker, helping them build confidence, independence, and their very first friendships in a warm, welcoming environment. With a dedicated team of qualified early years practitioners who are passionate about helping every child reach their full potential through a carefully planned curriculum, with focused small-group teaching, and strong keyworker relationships, supporting every stage of development and laying the foundations for school and beyond.

Children leave Hatton not only ready for school, but excited for it. They’re equipped with essential early literacy and numeracy skills, strong social and emotional development, and a sense of curiosity that prepares them to succeed.

Hatton Children’s Nursery isn’t just a place to learn – it’s a place to experience, to explore, and to truly enjoy childhood.

My son started going to Hatton Children's Nursery from 8 months old, over a year later and he absolutely loves all the staff and has developed so much. Currently missing everyone dearly due to the covid19 lockdown but will often come to me and say all their names and when I ask if he wants to see them
he says “yes” with a little excitement in his voice. The children are so lucky with the facilities, the building is open and bright and has 3/4 separate areas for different aged children and of course the added bonus of the attraction centre facilities and seeing the animals. Highly recommend, the manager will do anything she can to help you.

My 4-year-old and 18 month old attend Hatton Children's Nursery. They are both very confident, happy children, and I know being in this safe, fun and loving environment has a big role to play in their development. The staff are very nurturing and make each child feel loved. They take the children out
most days where they get to pet animals, play on the equipment and get some exercise. They also do a lot of baking and crafts, which my eldest especially loves.

Our daughter has been at Hatton Children's Nursery for two years and we could not be happier with the care she receives. The staff are friendly, approachable and treat the children (and parents) like a family where a hug is always available. Our daughter loves the fresh air, activities and all the staff,
who are caring, kind and sensible. We have no hesitation in sending our new baby there later in the year when I finish maternity leave. A big thank you to the team for doing such an amazing job.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.870) out of 10 for Hatton Children's Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.895 for Hatton Children's Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (209 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 228 Ratings = 4.895
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hatton Children's Nursery is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 89 number of registered child places is 17.8, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
