One of the things I love most is that the children aren't stuck within four walls all day. The nursery takes them on regular walks around the park and to soft play, which was exactly what I wanted for my son. They also make the most of the activities and events throughout the year at a local tourist attraction, which he absolutely loves.
The staff are always happy to answer any questions I have, no matter how small, and they consistently go above and beyond in everything they do. It's clear how much they care, and that makes all the difference.
There are so many elements to the nursery that make it so special, but primarily it's the genuine family feel, the idea that the girls are in safe and happy hands. It's great to see Alison so involved in the day-to-day which you wouldn't get in other nurseries, and she clearly has real affection for every child there.
Forest school, soft play, animals, shows & more make it a fun & engaging environment, and the enrichment activities are lovely too. I adore the special effort made for things like crafts & cards at Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas etc., and it's great to see so many different cultural/global days represented. My eldest has a love for learning & reading which is clearly cultivated with her telling me all about phonics!
Keith and Alison are so flexible & helpful when it comes to organisation & support, and I know this isn't true of all nurseries. Thank you for an amazing experience!
My 15-month-old has been going to this Nursery for about 5 months so far, and honestly he loves it there, he always comes out absolutely giggling his head off and loves going there. I never have problems dropping him off! They've been really flexible with me as well when work things have come up and I've had to amend things, I couldn't be happy with the way he's developing and how safe I feel him being there. They genuinely love him, it's really special.
My daughter has been at Hatton nursery for just under two years. With a broken heart we've made the decision to move her due to a house move and a long commute.
She is healthy, happy and thriving.
Her confidence, speech, learning, toilet habits have all come on leaps and bounds.
The staff listen, they take the time to talk to you, a detailed hand over, they answer the phone straight away. And they're human and understanding.
It took a lot for me to choose a nursery and have the trust to do it. Everyone at Hatton made it so easy and we'll hold them in our hearts. Thank you for everything, the next nursery have big boots to fill!
My little girl has been at Hatton for 3.5 years and absolutely loves it. The outdoor access to the animals on the farm, tractor rides, pumpkin/vegetable picking and soft play is a huge bonus. But it is the family atmosphere and nurturing environment that really sets it apart. The staff make the effort to get to know each child (and their family) so well. My little one also learns so much there, and has loved taking part in the pre school performances too. It is a lovely nurturing environment for little ones.
The team at Hatton Children's Nursery are amazing, it's always such a positive experience dropping our children off and picking them up. They always love their time there.
Where else can children go to nursery and see Donkeys, Snakes, Sheep, Guinea Pigs etc and have access to all the amazing facilities that Hatton Country World has to offer.
My child started at Hatton Nursery in 2023 (age two). I was so nervous about choosing the right nursery because they had only ever been in the care of parents/grandparents and were breastfed for 2 years (with multiple food allergies). Hatton instantly gave us a warm and safe impression and for the last 15 months we have been nothing but delighted! The staff are friendly, professional and caring. The setting is beautiful and the children genuinely go outside and get on the farm (or soft play) most days. Allergies/illnesses are taken seriously and we fully trust the nursery when managing our child's needs. They have some quite traditional practices such as providing daily, verbal updates on children's progress and overall mood/day, enabling them to focus more on the children's care rather than on an app (plus we all get to know each other more which is great!) Encouraging manners, expressing emotions, routines and life skills are also topics where Hatton excel. I could go on for pages!
My little girl absolutely adores the nursery and the staff. Having the farm on the doorstep is fantastic for them getting to explore the countryside and nature. The staff are brilliant and keep you informed about everything.
The team always provides a thorough handover and will always notify us if any issues arise.
Thank you so much for the lovely words, your little one is always a pleasure to care for.
Hatton is a wonderful nursery where my child has truly thrived. The staff are so caring and the facilities, especially the farm access, are amazing. We're looking forward to sending our second child there this summer.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it makes us so happy to know that your little one enjoys the Adventure Farm. We look forward to baby number 2 joining us in the summer.
My son went to Hatton Children's Nursery and thrived, so much so that we now drive 20 minutes each way past at least 3 other nursery options to take our daughter here. It's very telling that the many of the staff have been consistent between our two children's time here. It appears to be a happy and supportive team. Thank you to everyone.
Children are exposed to plenty of events most children never get at nursery. The soft play, children's farm and mobile library are all examples.
I have been particularly impressed with the show and performances have put on. My boys always come home with a song and a story
This is a brilliant little nursery. They go out to see the animals every day, which my little boy loves! He came home one day having done snake handling! They often do soft play there too. They are a little old-fashioned since they don't have a fancy app with photos throughout the day. But the staff always do a very thorough handover at the end of the day. And it means that the staff need to know the children really well. In the preschool room, they have done 2 plays so far this year. Plus sports day and graduation. It has been really lovely to see. They have a huge variety of activities the children can do. And the food seems to be good. My little boy seems to eat all sorts of things there that he wouldn't eat at home! They are really flexible with drop off and pick up, with early starts available. Plus there is loads of easy parking! We are going to really miss nursery once my little boy starts school.
The added bonus of Hatton- the time spent outside - learning and exploring! The highlight of many children's days.
Amazing nursery, so much to do for the children. They get daily access to animals, have their own private forest woodland area with forest school activities. Children have a large vegetable patch, daily visits to the local adventure park and soft play, it's just amazing nowhere else like it. Staff are amazing so caring and they learn so much. Simply the best nursery to send your child to.
Fantastic staff with a great location for the kids to enjoy. Couldn't ask for a better start in life.
Brilliant nursery I could not be happier with it. Very caring staff. Excellent location with access to Hatton Adventure World. Good feedback at the end of each day. Nurturing, friednly environment.
Excellent caring team who understand my boy very well. They are kind, hardworking and honest and understand parents as well as children's feelings. I cannot recommend this team of angels enough.
This nursery has been/is being an amazing nursery for all three of my children. The owners are so lovely and personally involved in the day-to-day running of things. Their love for what they do cascades down through all the staff who work there. Due to its location, the children regularly get to go see animals like pigs, goats and donkeys. There is even a soft play that the staff take the older kids to. It is a nursery unlike any other and even though there are closer nurseries, to me, I haven't ever considered moving nurseries and each of my kids have been so happy there.
I found picking a nursery for my little boy really difficult, we visited many but we picked this one based on the warmth and approach-ability of the staff and I’m so pleased we did. My son has been attending for about eighteen months and he absolutely loves it. As key workers we continued to send our son to nursery during the first lockdown and his development and progress has been exceptional. I credit the staff for their warm care and nurturing approach. He is two and regularly comes back from nursery with new words such as fire extinguisher. They visit the farm almost daily when the weather is nice and still go regularly when the weather is not so nice. My son has loved seeing the animals, especially whilst the restrictions have limited what we can do at a weekend. The manager and her team are just lovely, you can tell they really care about the children and the children love them. My son can’t leave nursery without giving them a hug or blowing a kiss!
