Hopscotch Nursery

We’ve been using Hopscotch for nearly a year. Our son really enjoys his sessions there and the staff are brilliant at including him in all activities and taking the time to get to know him and his preferences. The Manager and the team are great at communicating with the parents and I’m so pleased we have found this nursery!

Hopscotch Nursery ticked all the boxes for me when I was looking for a childcare setting for my daughter (who has now gone to school), my son (who is currently attending the nursery) and my youngest daughter (who will be attending in the new year). These boxes included excellent pastoral care, learning and development activities that would keep them stimulated and instil a lifelong joy of learning, the chance to meet and interact with peers their age (and who would attend the same reception class), and being prepared for the transition to school. In addition to meeting these key requirements, I have been very impressed by the organisation and communication skills of the manager and her team, the extra-curricular activities that are on offer (Sing and Sign classes, for example) and the fact that nutritious hot meals are served for lunch. My children have and do very much enjoy themselves at Hopscotch and come home full of news about their day and armed with a plethora of artistic items!

We are very happy with this nursery setting. Our little one joined when we moved to the area a year ago when he was 2. The care he receives is exceptional and he talks fondly of the staff who care for him. He really enjoys the cake baking and art activities. I would recommend for anyone looking for a smaller setting away from large nursery chains.

The staff have all been extremely attentive and accommodating and are great at keeping parents in the loop.

We chose Hopscotch for our daughter as we wanted a small friendly nursery that would help her develop social skills following isolation during the pandemic. We liked the fact the age groups were not split into separate rooms and she could engage and learn from older and younger children. The nursery turned out to be exactly as we had hoped! Our daughter thrived at Hopscotch Nursery under the care and dedication of the staff. They had good attention to detail - including paying very close attention to her allergy needs. She settled very quickly and really enjoyed attending! They also gave her plenty of individual attention and well structured play and activities. Her social skills developed really well and we were so pleased we had chosen Hopscotch. She also attended some holiday club sessions which were excellent with fun activities suited to the time of year.

She is now prepared and ready for school and I can't wait to send my youngest knowing she will be in the best setting!

We moved to Oxted three months ago and Hopscotch Nursery have been so welcoming to our family. My daughter, aged two and a half years old, has settled in so well and is so happy going in every day. The staff are very attentive and the nursery is a great size for a family feel. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

My daughter has had a lovely experience at Hopscotch Nursery! We have found the staff friendly and caring and the array of activities available stimulating and fun! The setting feels very safe and nurturing and the staff are great at providing updates and information as relevant. I would recommend Hopscotch!

My son joined Hopscotch nursery in November 2021. We were new to the area and we were lucky to get a place at such a lovely nursery. He has loved his time at Hopscotch and has made some lovely friends. The care he’s received has been excellent and he speaks fondly of his teachers and loves to chat about his day. He has grown in confidence and his social skills have improved during his time at nursery. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

Would definitely recommend the holiday club and would send him again if the requirement was needed.

They also take the children to the local park or library, which is great to have them explore the outside world.

My son has had two wonderful years with Hopscotch and he has run in smiling every day. It really is a home away from home setting, making it the perfect stepping stone from home to full-time education. The teachers adapted their activities to suit my son's interests and passions while introducing him to new ones. My son even asked to go in on his birthday, which I think speaks volumes! I cannot wait for my daughter to start in September!

Hopscotch is a lovely warm and fun place! The staff are kind, caring, enthusiastic and excellent at creating activities to engage children. Both my sons have attended Hopscotch and I highly recommend it as a preschool.

Hopscotch Nursery have been absolutely fantastic with our son and has been the best decision we made starting him at this particular nursery. He has attended now for almost 2 years and settled in so well due to the caring, welcoming and helpful staff. Everyday he attends he is just so happy and excited to be there and has formed such a good relationship with all the staff. They have helped him come on leaps and bounds, and getting him ready for his next journey in starting school, the staff really go the extra mile with all the children and it shows. All the staff also have such good relationships and communication with the parents, it’s so nice to have a setting that truly care and understand. It will be sad to see him leave, but exciting for him to start his next journey and we will definitely be starting our daughter with Hopscotch in the near future.

I am grateful we found Hopscotch. My children currently aged 6 and 4 - both started there around age 2. My 1st child is autistic, the manager and staff went above and beyond to not only support him but help me to prepare for his future within education. My 2nd child currently loves going and adores all the staff. There is such a variety of activities they do and make learning fun. She has a lot of uncommon allergies which they have also been very accommodating too. I honestly have never had any problems or worries with the care of my children. They are absolutely amazing!

Hopscotch is a truly lovely little nursery. The manager is fantastic and is surrounded by a wonderful team, who were exceptionally warm and caring toward my child. My daughter had two very happy and flourishing years here. She experienced forest school in the beautiful woods, which she enjoyed tremendously. As a parent, I was pleased by the variety of activities on offer. Each day my daughter would report all the different things she’d been up. Such as practising French and dance, singing and role play and playing with friends she made. She loved the outings into Oxted to the library and local parks. It’s was great to be able to access the app to see photos and videos of all her progress.

My daughter is so well prepared to start school in September but it is going to be so sad to say goodbye to everyone at Hopscotch. I wish we had moved here sooner so my eldest could have had the Hopscotch experience too.

The children have access to a fantastic range of activities and it has been lovely to watch my daughters confidence grow during her time at Hopscotch.
