Little Learners Day Nursery - Purley

Excellent setting providing a great variety of activity and games as well as learning. Facilities are in really good conditions, the outdoor area is amazing and spacious. The team gives us constant updates and provides great care. Our son loves the nursery and the fees are excellent value for money. The only missing would be one to one reviews with parents (or video calls during covid).

The staff are friendly and helpful. Our grandson is happy about going to nursery school and has made friends. He sings songs that he has learnt and points numbers and letters out when we are out with him which is very pleasing. He appears to be friendly with lots of the other children and is very sociable when out ay playgrounds etc with other children.

Our son has been attended Little Learners Day Nursery in Purley since January 2021. It's not easy to start nursery in the midst of a pandemic but the staff have been very welcoming and he loves it. We have been refunded for days the nursery has had to close due to coronavirus cases being identified and staff and children needing to isolate. The parents are currently not allowed in but I know from when my daughter attended in 2018 and 2019 that there is a lovely outdoor area with a jungle gym, dress up, motorbikes, footballs and the pet rabbit. Inside is a home corner, a library, dress up and a range of other toys. There is also an indoor area upstairs with a large messy play tray. My daughter and son both loved attending. The staff were excellent with our daughter and her speech really developed well there, she was also more than ready for school when it started. My children are both adopted and the staff completely took this in their stride. Watch out for the sports day and BBQ in September each year, its loads of fun!

He often excitedly talks about the nature of things he does there whether it be Tuesday Football, painting, what he ate, what he made, or simply recounting lyrics to Disney songs he's sung or heard from other children. It's always a joy picking him up as you are warmly received by the staff and always informed as to the nature of his day and made to feel fully involved, down to each meal.

Inside, downstairs is not as large as some other nurseries I saw, but they do have a room upstairs, and they get out in the garden every day.

My daughter loves nursery. Every time we drive past she will point at and wave saying "Hi nursery, mummy, that's where my teacher lives!" I was playing a game with her and when it came to counting up her cards she correctly counted to 20 which I have never heard her do. She is now doing more time at nursery and her speech, counting and colour knowledge has come on incredibly. She is always excited to tell me about her day and often has a new picture or craft for me to put on the fridge. Her favourite is her plate spider! My eldest child started nursery 2 months ago. He found the initial transition incredibly hard but I cannot fault Little Learners Day Nursery in their kindness, patience, support and professionalism during what has been a testing time for us both. The staff are excellent, the facilities and activities are brilliant too. My 3-year-old is learning French on a weekly basis here and in the 2 months he's been going, has overcome severe separation anxiety to become a happy, sociable little boy. Can't recommend them enough.
