Absolutely delighted with the Bonnington House nursery. The outdoor space is fantastic and utilised throughout the entire year. All the staff and so friendly and engaging and all seem to know my child (not just her room staff). Very responsive on email to any concerns.
Another fantastic aspect of this nursery is the variety of external activity groups they bring in each day, from football to music and even French. It adds such great variety and keeps the children engaged in learning through fun!
There are plenty of fun activities to keep the little ones engaged, the environment is clean and welcoming and the outdoor spaces is lovely. Overall, we're really happy and would definitely recommend!
Bonnington House staff look after my daughter as if she was their own. I recieve excellent regular updates on her learning journal. The variedness of learning materials, outdoor play and outings is exceptional. I know my daughter is treated with dignity and kindness and the staff are lovely, kind and genuine people.

My little boy enjoys going to the nursery. The staff are wonderful and I feel they genuinely care for all the kids. They do lots of different activities and it is great that the nursery has a large outdoor space and the park next door. We are very happy with the nursery and would recommend it.

Both my children have been at Bonnington House Nursery, so I have been using it for the last six years with my daughter about to finish in August for school. The facilities and staff are great. Both my kids have always been very happy to go and made great friends there. Whilst there is some unwanted turnover of staff (which is seen in all nurseries) there are some amazing male and female staff that have been there for many years and are really the glue and the heart behind Bonnington, and I commend them to you. They have great daily clubs which you do pay a little extra for, but my kids have always loved them. No nursery is perfect, but I commend this place as a trustworthy, safe and loving place to send your child.

My son is really learning at the nursery. He comes home talking about things like fair trade and is able to recognise the symbol which he likes to point out at the shops. He loves the outside spaces and the creative activities that the nursery provides. All the staff are lovely, caring and kind. They know my son well and manage his needs really well.

We love Bonnington House Nursery and the facilities and carers! We feel so comfortable and relaxed with our son in their hands. There are some standout carers for sure and we love the house design and garden in the back.

A wonderful place for children to play, socialise and learn. The staff are professional and caring and they offer lots of creative and stimulating activities and outings. The rooms and the outdoor space provide all the children need. Our two daughters love going there.

Have had two children at Bonnington House Nursery - one who is now in primary school and one who is in the pre-school. They joined the nursery just before they were 1 and we have always been happy with the care and information and relationships with the nursery staff. This has included kindness, good care and cleanliness and being well looked after, as well as activities and a lot of time outside. There were some staff who were great at updates, others at planning different activities and others who had/have endless patience and it was the combination of these people that has been great over the last five years.

We have been very happy with Bonnington House Nursery and our daughter absolutely loves it. The staff were so sweet with her when she was settling in and we have seen her confidence grow so much. We love how much time they spend outside and the arts and crafts that they do.

My son has had a great experience at Bonnington House Nursery, the days are filled with lots of activities, outdoor play and trips to the park or library. The staff are all so lovely and really know the children.

I have two children that attend Bonnington House Nursery and we have always been very pleased with the service. The staff are very competent, friendly and caring and my girls really enjoy their days there. The staff know all the children by name, even those that aren't within their own cohort. The nursery has great facilities and I like that they spend a considerable amount of time in the garden, which is a lovely space for the kids to be in. The management and office staff are always approachable and try their best to help when extra days are needed etc. The kids that attend come from a wide area and they feed into all the nearby schools which means children will usually have at least a handful of friends when they move up to primary school.

Bonnington House Nursery is a well-run nursery with caring staff. The outdoor space is great - it encourages creative play and backs onto a park so feels open and green. All the staff know the names of kids out with their class which feels like a lovely indicator of the care they have for all the children.

We enrolled our daughter at 7 months old in February 2024 with both her and us loving the experience at the Bonnington House Nursery. The manager and all the staff are amazing with our daughter and it's a delight to drop her off each morning. The nursery is a great space and offers lots of outdoor private/secure garden space as well as parks nearby for walks with the staff.

Meet the Team (34)
Claire has worked in Childcare for over 20 years in a variety of roles, these range from Nursery Assistant/Practitioner to Room leader then into management roles which she has been in for over 13 years.
Claire worked at Bonnington House Nursery previously for 5 years then after Maternity returned to the company as a Quality Assurance Manager for a few years, during this time she was able to experience a variety of nurseries in different settings which improved her knowledge and understanding greatly.
Claire returned to Bonnington in June 2022 as Nursery manager where she continued to lead the team in best practice.
Claire has her SVQ 3 & 4 in childcare and will begin working on her BA in September 2023.
Emma has worked at Bonnington House Nursery since February 2014, as our Third in Charge, based in the Butterflies (pre-school) room. Emma began as a practitioner in pre-school and worked her way up to room senior, room leader and now as third in charge of the nursery. Emma brings plenty of knowledge to the staff in the playrooms and throughout the nursery.
Emma holds her SVQ 3 in Childcare and is also one of our forest school leaders.
Nikki began working at Bonnington in August 2022, behind the scenes and helping to run the office. She decided to change career paths after having her little girl and began at the nursery as the Nursery Admin.
Nikki brings huge organisation strengths to the nursery and supports Claire and Emma in paperwork and admin work required in the nursery.
Melissa has been at Bonnington since October 2020 and has worked across all age groups. She was initially a supply staff member and enjoyed the role so much that she stepped into a trainee nursery practitioner role and now onto the Caterpillar (3-14 months) room role.
Melissa is passionate about creating smooth transitions for the babies into the nursery and creating a cosy home-from-home environment.
Nicole is our Ladybirds 1 (1-2 year old) room leader and has been working at Bonnington since March 2022. She is fully qualified with her SVQ 3 in childcare, and began at Bonnington as a Nursery Practitioner and quickly progressed to Room Senior and then to Room Leader.
Nicole is passionate about creating a stimulating space for the children in the playroom and enjoys watching the children flourish and learn.
Ishbel started at Bonnington House Nursery in December 2011 as a nursery practitioner and has since progressed to being our Ladybirds 2 (20 months - 28 months) Room Leader. Ishbel and her team work to make this room an easy transition to the next room and ensure children feel secure and safe in this room.
Ishbel is qualified with her SVQ 3 in Childcare, as well as various other short courses she has taken over the years.
John joined Bonnington House Nursery in July 2017 and has progressed to being our Pre-School (3-5 year old) Room Leader. He leads Pre-School in best practice and enjoys implementing new ways to support the children as well as the staff team.
John is qualified with his SVQ 3 in Childcare and is one of our Forest School Leaders.
Lucie joined Bonnington in February 2022 and has progressed to her current post as our Ladybirds 1 (1-2-year-olds) Room Senior.
She is passionate about supporting children through transitions both in and out of the nursery.
Lucie is working towards her SVQ 3 in Childcare.
Kate joined Bonnington House in August of 2019 and has progressed to our Busy Bees (2-3 room) room senior position.
She is passionate about delivering the best care possible for the children in her care.

Angela joined Bonnington in November 2021 and has progressed to her role as Pre-school Room Senior.
She helps to oversee the entire 3-5 age group but is specifically based in River Room, where she supports children who are transitioning from upstairs to downstairs.

Noelie joined Bonnington House Nursery in November 2019.
She is a practitioner based in our Caterpillar (3-14 month) room and holds an SVQ 3 in Childcare.
Noelie is currently on maternity leave.
Anne-Marie joined Bonnington House Nursery in August 2022.
She is a practitioner based in our Caterpillar (3-14 month) room and holds an SVQ 3 in Childcare.
