RIMU Music Day Nursery & Forest School Reviews (14)
Over all time RIMU Music Day Nursery & Forest School has 14 reviews.
RIMU are an excellent nursery. They have a great variety of activities for the children and the Forest School is amazing, teaching the children about nature. My granddaughter really enjoys the music and dance classes and always shows me her latest moves.
Thanks so much for such a lovely review. We really appreciate the support we get from the RIMU families.
RIMU nursery has indeed exceeded my expectations. The worries of a new mum for a good nursery is very common. My son settled and was generally happy to be in nursery. Staff are attentive and display professionalism. I will definitely recommend RIMU to every mum.
Our daughter has been at RIMU since she was eight months old and it's one of the best decisions we made for her. RIMU has provided a stimulating home away from home where my child has felt loved and nurtured. She has been exposed to all the additional activities - football, dance, drama and animal zoo - the nursery has to offer, whilst also having individual attentive care and education. We frequently get complimented on her maturity and advanced development - which I have to credit to the team at RIMU. They are also a gem to us as new parents. I rely on being able to take any question (however small) about our daughter to them and receiving informed advice. They have also gone above and beyond for us personally when we have required support or flexibility. They've remained a secure constant in our daughter's life that a cherish and do not take for granted. The facilities and extracurriculars are all great but RIMU's star quality is the staff who clearly take pride and love what they do.
Our son has been attending RIMU for just over a year and has loved it from the start. The practitioners are fantastic, a really lovely genuinely caring and enthusiastic team. They put so much thought and effort into their activities and the amount they pack into the day is remarkable. The children do a range of 'extracurriculars from French, to drama and dancing and singing to sports. The menus are also well thought out and the daily reports are informative. Staff turnover in our son's class has also been low which I think speaks volumes. Genuinely can't recommend them enough.
We have been with this nursery for three years and the service has been consistently high. Staff are caring, hard working and creative with learning, development and entertainment. Food is healthy. Facilities are newer at one site compared to another but functional and serve the purpose. Outside space could be better but it's a common limitation in the UK. The location and transportation are great.
Due to being a 'Covid baby', I was worried about my daughter going to nursery with very little experience being around other children and adults. Fortunately, the staff at RIMU were very patient, attentive, and understanding, and within a matter of weeks, my little girl transformed! Her development has come leaps and bounds and she seems very happy to go every day.
My son and daughter both attended RIMU, I found them extremely friendly and professional. They had amazing things going on for the children and both my children loved going! Thank you RIMU team.
Thanks so much for this positive review. I will pass on your comments to my lovely team.
My son has been to 3 nurseries so far and RIMU is by far the best. The carer and staff are always happy (and less exhausted!) and they put in a lot of effort with activities and events. They even potty trained my son! I would highly recommend RIMU to other prospective parents looking to place their child in a nursery.
An excellent nursery providing quality care in a gentle and effective way. The carers are so enthusiastic, nurturing, friendly and available - they are at the heart of what makes the nursery so special. There is clearly an ethos and culture that follows through, because, despite any turnover, the continuity of care, learning and child-led growth is maintained.

We have been very impressed in the 3 years our son has attended. He has developed socially in a very positive way. The activities are a good mix of education but also more importantly "play" and fun for the kids. The nursery teachers are very good to the children and communication from the management is also frequent, relevant and informative. Our son is now ready for school we are very grateful to RIMU for our son's journey and development and would highly recommend this nursery.
Many thanks for this wonderful review. My staff and management are very dedicated and it is always uplifting to receive such positive comments.
Best of luck for the future.

Both of our children (one entering year 4, the other starting school this year) have attended RIMU Music Preparatory School & Nursery and the care they received over that time has never been anything short of excellent. The nursery is a calm, caring environment where the children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. Lots of structured activities are provided - street dance, gymnastics, singing, but there's also time for the children to play and form their own personalities. Watching them play together outside of nursery, it is clear that they are all very fond of each other.
Excellent nursery my son came here from the age of 2 until he left for school. Lots of things to do and good little trips to the local library. Staff were lovely but only complaint is that it is a high turn over of staff so children see lots of people come and go.
I would like to add that that the staff turnover was due to one member of staff relocating, one deciding to further their career in a managerial position and another utilising a teaching degree in a school environment. This was no reflection of the setting. Thank you again for your comments we really appreciate it.
Small friendly nursery, high volume of experienced and enthusiastic staff. Very well structured day with external teachers daily to provide ballet, gymnastics and drama lessons. Good variety of food, everything looks clean and the children seem very well cared for and happy.
This is an excellent nursery. My older daughter has been attending since November 2013 and the younger one since July 2015 and we continue being extremely satisfied with the care provided. The staff are very friendly and develop great rapport with both children and parents. Each child is encouraged to develop confidence and individuality whist engaging in a multitude of group activities and play. The children get a singing, gymnastics, ballet, drama or street dance class with a professional teacher every day which my daughters love. The meals provided are balanced and varied. We feel very fortunate to have such a great nursery in our area.
