Sunhill Day Nursery Fen Drayton

The Sunhill Day Nursery Fen Drayton provides excellent care and creates a supportive environment for learning and personal development. The room lead and other teachers in the preschool room (3-4 year olds), where my child is, are particularly excellent. They are enthusiastic, caring and clearly invested in helping the children have fun and develop into confident children who are well-prepared for school. They routinely look for ways to stretch the children, finding different exercises to engage them in areas of their interest.

Our daughter is very happy at this small and friendly nursery, having been attending for nearly two years. She enjoys the home-cooked food and looks forward to seeing her friends and staff each day.

My baby settled in really well with the staff. After a couple of months in the nursery, he doesn't want to come back home some days. There is fresh food prepared every day, and they have adapted the menu for my child, who has some food allergies. They work with the Montessori approach, which is great.

We are very happy with our experience of the nursery. This is our third child who has attended Sunhill Nursery Fen Drayton. The staff are patient and kind and have accommodated our daughter’s needs. The preschool room is a great space. She looks forward to coming and has fun.

The nursery has grown in the 6-years I have been using it with my two girls. However, you still get the friendly face and family atmosphere from its smaller beginnings, and my daughter comes home and tells me all about the exciting activities they do each day. The food is also excellent, and she often has seconds!

Our children have been going here since 2018, and both absolutely love it. The staff are great and foster a really warm, caring environment where the children seem to thrive. Activities are really varied, with lots of outdoor time and also really flexible and accommodating with helping our children have the chance to celebrate festivals like Chinese New Year. We'd definitely recommend it to others.

All the staff are really helpful and give us great feedback on terms of how our daughter is getting on. She seems to love it there, which is a reflection of the great staff they have there. The food she eats is freshly made and healthy, and the amount of activities they do keep her busy.

The holiday club is also brilliant; my eldest has attended this before and thoroughly enjoyed it. She also enjoyed being reunited with some of her old friends and the staff that she used to see weekly.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery, and that is a testament to the hard-working and caring staff. The activities they plan make his day fun, and we love seeing the photos posted on the app. They offer such a variety of food, which has really helped the wearing process and ensured our son will try anything given to him. We cannot thank his key worker and the manager enough!

Being a "lockdown baby", our daughter hadn't socialised much before starting nursery. It has made such a great difference. She is more confident around people and new places. She also learns new things every day at the nursery. She loves going there and is always smiley and chatty when she leaves.

A fantastic nursery where staff clearly care for the children and their development. My 3 children have attended the setting and have very fond memories. Great facilities and a very nurturing environment. All the staff work hard to create an excellent learning experience for the children. Thank you.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys every day she spends at the nursery. The nursery provides so many different activities for the children to do with so many opportunities for the children to learn through play. I love the photos that are sent showing the children at play when you are wondering at home what they are getting up to. Very happy that we chose Fen Drayton for our little one.

Although we live 25 miles away, we chose to place our boy here from September 2019 one full day a week as its location is just a mile away from where I worked. Even though just one month later I switched jobs, my son immediately loved it here so we chose to keep sending him. It's a lovely old building with lots of character and not at all clinical like most chain nurseries. The staff are absolutely amazing; particularly the staff for making sure our son's development is carefully logged and shared with his local pre-school which he also attends. Even attending Fen Drayton just one day a week he has learnt and developed so much and literally runs to the car every Friday morning full of excitement to be going to 'daddy work nursery', and at pick-up, he's smiling and happy and excited to share what he'd done during the day. Every week during lockdown he would ask if 'people are better yet?' hopeful of being able to return. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I think that Fen Drayton is a fantastic nursery. Staff are engaging and friendly and my child has developed a lot of confidence due to continuous praise and encouragement. I particularly like it when staff tell me how entertaining my child has been in class!

I think that Fen Drayton is a brilliant nursery and I think that all the girls are brilliant with the children and are a good team. I am very happy with how my little man is coming along.

This nursery provided us with an individual tailored service taking into account our child's specific needs. Every time I pick up and drop off the staff are directly interacting with all the children. A child's emotions are always reacted to in a respectful and kind manner. They always look happy and comfortable but are not forced to be happy. The garden and rooms are lovely and I am always jealous of the lunches.

Great place, great staff. My child has progressed really well since he started at the nursery. I couldn't be happier.

We are confident that our little girl is happy and well cared for, and that the nursery offers a safe and stimulating environment for her. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for childcare in the local area.

My son has attended this nursery for almost 3 years and I am extremely pleased with the quality of care he receives. He loves attending and I know he is safe and very well looked after. He is learning so much and being challenged with a variety of engaging activities that help to develop his skills and interests. Staff are caring and know my son, building on his strengths and developing independence. A superb nursery that I would absolutely recommend.

They really deserve it. I've seen other nurseries where the quality of education was less important than everything looking like a showroom. Thank you to the staff.
