Job Title: Director
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse (NNEB) with more than 23 years of childcare experience. I have worked for both the private sector and Birmingham Social Services gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with a wide diversity of children and their families. Since 1999 I worked in the Early Years Department of New College in Bromsgrove and Redditch as an early years Trainer. I was involved in teaching and training future nursery nurses in NVQs and Diploma in childcare.
In 2005 I opened the first Lilliput Day Nursery in Rubery followed by Lilliput Day Nursery in Kings Heath in 2010. It was my aim to be able to offer good quality childcare that I would be happy for my children to attend. I am the Director of these nurseries and have a Manager in each one but I am a very visible presence within the nurseries and can be found at either one of them. I am a hands on owner and have a lot of input in what happens within the nurseries to ensure they continue to meet the high standards I would expect for my children.
Job Title: Manager
Hello, My name is Annette.
I am a Level 3 qualified nursery nurse with 11 years of childcare experience. I joined Lilliput Day Nursery, Rubery in 2005 as a newly qualified nursery nurse and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience within the company and soon progressed to room leader, Senior Nursery Nurse and then Deputy Manager. In 2010 Alison and Steve opened the Kings Heath Nursery and I was asked to manage it.
We are a busy, popular setting that has good links with the local community. A lot of our nursery places are filled from recommendations.
Our management team and all the staff work well together to ensure we continue to meet the high standards that Alison and Steve expect.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
I am a qualified level 3 nursery nurse, with 15 years childcare experience. I have worked in a variety of roles and childcare settings, which has given me many opportunities and I have gained many skills to successfully carry out my role as deputy manager. I joined Lilliput Rubery in 2008 where I started as a Senior Nursery Nurse in 2-3 year old room. I was promoted to deputy manager while here and when the Kings Heath nursery opened in 2010 I transferred there as the Deputy Manager.
I am also room leader of the baby unit and am very confident and am able to run the nursery at times when the manager is absent.
I have a very good relationship with Annette and Alison as well as the management team at the Rubery nursery. We all work together sharing ideas and experiences so that we can give the children the best possible care and education that we can.
