Caroline trained as a Social worker, but when she had her own children, retrained in Early Years and set up her own small and unique nursery named Glenangels.
The motivation was to provide a setting that offered working families the security to return to work and have a secure, homely environment for babies and toddlers.
The setting grew, and the Forest School was developed to extend the Preschool Programme. This successful programme has been running for the past 10 years, it offers children the education to develop life skills, resilience, well-being, social skills, excellent communication tools and a vast ability to be ready for school.
Caroline is proud to have seen so many positive outcomes over the years of all characters of children being ready for life ahead of them.
Mario started the Forest school in 2011 when Glenangels first opened. His love of the outdoors and woodwork shone in the development of the Glenangels Forest School. The first children to graduate and go to school left Glenangels in 2015 after experiencing learning at Forest school each day as part of their Preschool experience.
Mario has been married to Caroline since 1995 and has two children together. Mario had his own restaurant specialising in Seafood for many years and also created many concepts/brands in the food and beverage industry.
Mario trained in Early Years and Forest School after being committed to his own children and their growing needs for support. Mario offers a vast experience of skills to children aged 3 to 4 years (two-year programme) before starting school.
The children who experience daily Forest School sessions at Glenangels are all self-confident, believe in self, problem-solvers, open to maths, Spanish, literacy, strong social skills, kind to others and nature/wildlife/plants and really love to be outside and feel happy in this environment. The benefits we have seen from the programme are amazing and long-lasting for all children.
Mario has also created and project managed the Barn of Glenangels, which is our nursery that has a homely feel and belongs with our rural site for children to see nature all around them.
