Treehouse Nursery is a well-established nursery in the heart of the Uddingston area which has provided Care and Education for children from birth to 5 for over 20 years.

Here at Treehouse, they aim to uphold a culture of open and responsive care, to work in partnership to promote ownership in learning and ensure the best outcomes for all children in their care.

The staff team brings together a comprehensive mix of experience, passion and knowledge, comprising 14 Qualified Early years’ practitioners, 4 Childcare apprentices and a nursery chef of over 20 years. The team is supported by a management team which is Manager Reasa Young, their Depute Nadine McCallum and the next in charge Amy Hallford. The nursery's comprehensive recruitment policy ensures careful selection of staff and relevant PVG, disclosure checks and SSSC registration. Above and beyond this they are committed to recruiting staff who will uphold their shared vision for the nursery.

Treehouse has capacity daily for 28 0-3 children and 24 3-5 children over 4 bright and recently redecorated playrooms, responsively furnished to reflect the age and stage of its service users. (52 daily placement).

Their service users benefit from a broad and challenging curriculum across all age ranges and a unified staff team who are able and passionate about bringing the best outcomes for all.

They base their curricular outcomes on a strong working knowledge of ‘Curriculum for Excellence’ ‘Birth to Three’ while continuing to develop and update the knowledge and skills across their staff team by sharing good practice, new legislation, guidance and innovative approaches to learning. At Treehouse, they embed and develop the GIRFEC and SHANNAR, this is at the heart of everything they do.

My son has been attending Treehouse for over two years now (age 1 to 3) and they have been absolutely brilliant.
I feel really lucky that I selected Treehouse for my son. I feel confident that he is in good hands and any issues that have arisen (only minor issues, mind) have been dealt with very sensitively
and professionally.
Treehouse is a brilliant nursery.

I am always impressed with how caring and nurturing Treehouse Nursery is. The communication to parents about their child and what activities are taking place in the nursery is always excellent. The effort and imagination that goes into their snacks and lunches are of a very high standard. The staff
always make each day varied with plenty of outside play when they can. My children have always been very happy and settled here and would always recommend this nursery to other families.

My children go to the nursery and they absolutely love it. Every day they go in they are so excited to be there. It's so reassuring to know they are being well taken care of when not with me.
They are fed great meals and do lots of fun activities, which the nursery staff communicate to us on a daily
basis with photos and emails.
I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery.

We can't recommend Treehouse enough, we have always had great communication and a good relationship with all staff at the nursery. They have taken the time to build a relationship with our child and he loves going to nursery. All staff get to know each child across the rooms and work very hard to give
your child the best experience.

Our daughter has been attending the Treehouse Nursery for 4 years and is now ready to start school. She has really enjoyed her time at Treehouse and all the staff are great. The mix of indoor and outdoor play and learning, as well as community integration with visits to local libraries, care homes and
shops has been a great learning experience for our daughter. They are always welcoming and encourage feedback to help tailor learning to your child.

We've been using Treehouse since 2012 and our daughter has just finished up this week, over the years all the staff have been amazing.
For my daughter, she has had a special bond with the staff in room 3-5.
The staff member has excellent energy in the establishment as well.
Management has been on
point since the manager took over the position.
Highly recommend Treehouse.

The staff at Treehouse Nursery are wonderful with the children. We love that they take them outside in every weather, communicate clearly and with pictures and are lovely with the children. Another big plus is the healthy food. If any questions arrive they are answered promptly which is another big
plus.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 15 months old and it has been a fantastic experience from day one. The staff clearly care about the children, they are so helpful, friendly and welcoming.
They have gone above and beyond to help my daughter grow and I'm so grateful for all they do.
Dreading
her morning to school, we will miss the staff so much! An excellent nursery with wonderful staff.

I'm confident my child is safe and well cared for while at nursery. The staff are attentive and approachable. I think the older kids would benefit from more 'field trips', getting them used to using public transport and experiencing new things outside the nursery setting.

To start I would like to say Nursery childcare was never something I knew a lot about so I was quite apprehensive like most parents are about leaving my daughter with somebody outside of the family to look after her (attending since just under 1 until now aged 4). However, I have found Treehouse to
be a great place for my daughter to be looked after and I have confidence in the standard and practice of care given to the children who attend Treehouse. Being in Treehouse my daughter has learned so much and taken part in activities that you don't do at home. Now I look at Nursery as a time not for my daughter to be just looked after but a time for her to have her own space and enjoy being with her friends while learning new things. Now I can really see the benefits of children going to nursery from a young age and that is a result of the hard work that goes in at Treehouse from the management to the room staff. My Daughter is always excited to tell me about her day when I pick her up!

Staff are lovely and caring, nothing is a bother for them and all the children are really excited when dropoing them off. The staff are very knowledgeable and take time to get to know the families catering for each individual children in their care.

I was so nervous about leaving my little girl (1-year-old) in a nursery environment, as I find it hard to trust others with her. But the staff in the nursery as a whole made the experience so much easier with regular feedback so I, as a mother, felt included in everything my little girl would be doing
in the nursery and I felt as if I was there having fun too. I have seen such a difference in her socially, her language and sharing skills have become so much more advanced too. My little girl loves the nursery and now I feel comfortable leaving her with the staff in the morning knowing she’s going to be cared for just like a mother would care for her child.

Reasa Young

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2017

I started my adventure here at Treehouse as Nursery Manager in December 2017. I have been in childcare for twenty + years and have grown in experience throughout part of the changing face of childcare over the years. I have completed my BA in childcare; I am deeply passionate and strive to bring this passion to the nursery empowering others in all levels of leadership.


I have always had a passion for working with children as I love to have an impact on their early years in life. I also love meeting new children and families.

I joined Treehouse Nursery in November 2021 the best time to join in the fun as the children were all excited for Santa and the magic.


I started with the training company carousel and soon gained my qualification. I was lucky enough to be offered a full-time qualified post within the nursery and soon became the baby room leader and then progressed to the NIC and more recently i then took over the deputy role working hand and hand with Reasa.


I love all ages of the nursery and you will find me about the playrooms or the office where i support the staff team to achieve their goals in return providing the best possible start for all our little children.


I am also hoping to straighten my knowledge and leadership by commencing my level 4 soon.

I joined Treehouse Nursery as a trainee and have worked my way from trainee to qualified room leader and the NIC. being part of the team for so long it is not just a job or employment I feel treehouse and everyone involved is my family, being a mum myself I have experience of how challenging and difficult it is for parents to choose a suitable nursery for their little ones.
