Happitots Nursery Baillieston

We are very happy with the care provided at the nursery. The staff are truly wonderful - warm, professional, and, clearly dedicated to the children's well-being, which gives us lots of peace of mind. We are grateful for all the support and care they provide every day!

Our son has not long started this nursery and I have nothing bad to say about this nursery. My neice previously attended this nursery from a baby to school. They have always been great and this left me feel good about putting my son here and at ease. Always get updates and the girls are great in the baby room..

Happitots were previously operated by Bertram, in 2022 Bertram expanded to become Thrive. Since then, the Scottish sites have gone into decline (please see Companies House annual return for Thrive which gives a clear picture). The photos currently displayed on Day Nurseries are not up to date and the manager resigned following a very poor Inspectorate Report in October 2024. The staff members who actually care for the children are brilliant, some have been there for decades, they are lovely and deserve only praise. However, the management, specifically the Area Manager is completely out of touch with reality and refused to meet with parents prior to Christmas to address our concerns. Ultimately, I removed my daughter who now attends another nursery - a world apart.

My son has allergies and the nursery are fantastic at making sure any food he has does not contain milk or soya.

They’ve always got fun activities planned out for the kids and my son always comes home happy, telling me about what a great day he has had. Can’t recommend enough.

I am kept up to date with her progress with pictures and commentary on her daily activities.

We are very happy that our boys go to this nursery. It's a great place and great care. We had concerns about the lack of knowledge of the English language, but all the ladies who work in this nursery made every effort to make our children feel comfortable here. We are very satisfied with the care and we recommend this nursery with a clear conscience!

Could not be happier with Happitots Baillieston, always welcomed with a smile and my child loves going to nursery. He loves his teachers and friends and has so much fun when he is there. Teachers are fantastic, always keeping you up to date with how their day has gone, how they have been and what they have been doing. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

We can't praise the staff and the managers well enough for the brilliant work they do. I highly recommend this nursery to any parents with young children.

Perfect place for both our children! They explore, learn, have fun and build relationships. Both my children love being at nursery and have a lovely bond with the people who work there. They have built confidence and have made friendships with their peers along the way. The nursery staff are passionate about their roles (our key workers in particular) overall the nursery approaches policy with due diligence and keeps us informed of how our children are developing consistently and thoroughly.

My son has been here for around 8 months and I’m very happy with the progress he’s making. The staff are lovely and care for my son great. He loves going in and doing activities with the staff and other kids. I am always kept up to date with his progress and how his day has been with the updates on the app.

My son has been going to the nursery since he was a baby and he has always had a great time. He started during covid and we weren’t allowed inside the nursery so communication was limited however this isn’t anything the staff or management could have helped with. The teachers are great and he really enjoys going.

Staff are always helpful and friendly. My child is always happy to go in and happy when picked up. She feels safe and comfortable with everyone at the nursery and has developed great relationships with all the staff. I never have to worry while she is at nursery because I believe she’s in good hands.

Whenever we need to call to talk to someone, usually the manager, we’ve never had a problem and are always met with genuine care/concern when our son is unwell and can’t attend.

I would like day trips to be organised so the children can go out for the day and not stay in nursery grounds all the time but overall I would definitely recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.

The nursery is the best in all aspects of standards for my child. My child has attended the nursery since he was 1 year old and the nurture care and development the nursery has given my child has set him the foundations to prepare him for school with the skills and learning in social and educational. The teachers are of the highest quality building great relationships and setting a great example for the children. The care and attention are second to none and this is across all areas and rooms in which my son has had the great pleasure and benefit of being in. The nursery manager in my opinion is a pillar of the community and the nurture care and investment she puts into the children from the first day gives you the trust and confidence this is the number one nursery in the area. I cannot recommend the nursery high enough.

My child has been attending this nursery for a year now. Staff are always available to speak to and are very attentive towards the parents/carers and children within their care. Daily updates are a great way to communicate and keep up to date with what is going on that day at nursery.
