Thrive Teviot House Nursery situated on Spylaw Road allows children to develop thanks to the carefully designed and implemented play experiences.

A converted, detached villa makes for a spacious and fun environment, where new interests and numerous activities to help a young mind develop can flourish.

They are delighted to have been awarded NMT Nursery Group Award 2018.

The excellent staff team are at the centre of everything the nursery does, providing quality care and education for all children. The nursery has placed a strong focus on building a team of staff that is both motivated and qualified, with low staff turnover and a continuity that parents can feel positive about.

The nursery has multiple outdoor play areas as well as bright and engaging indoor playrooms with a variety of stimulating resources including an interactive digi-table which the children love!

Included in the fees are a quality early years care and education, freshly prepared two-course lunch and snacks throughout the day, nursery pets and a celebration of festivals throughout the year.

Corner House at Spylaw Road provides an excellent standard of care. Without exception, the staff are warm, caring and supportive. Our children have been extremely happy at Corner House. I have no doubt that the confidence we see growing in them has been shaped by the positive, secure and loving nursery
environment provided by the staff.

Both our boys have attended Corner House Nursery Spylaw Road and we’re very happy on every level with their nursery experience. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is warm, happy and caring and the facilities and surroundings are ideal for young children to develop and thrive in, from the baby room
up to the pre school room. The use of external parties to run weekly classes for the kids is also great.
We can’t recommend Corner House Nursery Spylaw highly enough.

We've been very happy in all our dealings with Corner House, Spylaw Road. The staff are great, our son settled in really well, and we all feel happy and relaxed that this is the right place for him to be. The staff in his room are always happy, they get to know the kids quickly, and the whole atmosphere
seems just right for someone our son's age.

Our daughter joined in April and we have been very pleased with the nursery and everything about it. They take time to talk to you about your child and how they are getting on and ways to make things work better. Love that kids get to go outside so much.

I really like this nursery however my daughter is in the baby room and I would appreciate far more weekly trips out with the babies and toddlers as oppose to once a month if that- I would expect these regular trips to take place given the amount of fees we pay. I would also expect a sensory room for
the babies and toddlers and I most definitely would expect a foreign language e.g Spanish to be taught to the babies/toddlers.


There are other nurseries in the vicinity which offers these things at the same price so I hope Corner House look into this.

The staff are attentive, kind, and have always been 100% approachable. My son has come on wonderfully in terms of language, learning, focus, confidence and social skills. Older children are encouraged to be independent but aren’t unsupervised. The children are occupied throughout the day with a variety
of activities: outdoor play; indoor exercise playroom; learning through fun eg numbers and measuring via cooking; dedicated key worker time; smaller groups for learning; storytime (at the end of the day, the staff do not "clump" different rooms together, the children are kept in their own rooms/garden until everyone is picked up); and the occasional trip to the zoo/supermarket/theatre etc.
He often tells me he's had "the best day ever" when I pick him up!
The staff are genuinely interested in the children and their development and are kind, thoughtful, experienced and clearly enjoy what they do. He loves his teachers, his friends, the food, and all the activities. We are delighted.

We love Corner House as much as our daughter! I know she is in a safe and caring environment which really makes me feel at ease when I am at work. I know she has fun-filled days! Her days are varied and she always tells us about the yummy meals and who she has been playing with.

Very friendly and helpful staff, my daughter has settled very easily and seems to do a range of different activities every day. The staff have a lot of patience and are always happy to talk to my husband and I. The menu for lunch is fantastic, very varied.

My daughter has been with the nursery now for a few months and she absolutely loves it. I cannot recommend it enough. We have found Corner House to be an excellent nursery. Our child enjoys the activities. They have a large garden up front and I often arrive to find my son engrossed in some activity before he realises I'm there. Indoors they have many different areas and activities and he enjoys playing in each of
them. They have several rooms so I know he gets a lot of variety. Lunch is provided and they happily accommodate his dietary restriction (an allergy). He enjoys the food and often wants seconds! The staff are very helpful and caring.

My daughter's been attending for just under a year, she settled in at 10 months old and had just moved from the baby to the toddler room.
I couldn't be happier with the nursery - the staff go above and beyond in their caring duties, the food provided is great quality, fresh and nutritious, and the
activities provided are amazing.
Huge outdoor space that all of the children use throughout the year, but mostly in the spring and summer.
Can't recommend the nursery highly enough. I love that we can see her progress online using the Learning Journal system too.
Management can be quite hard to get hold of via email/phone but there's always someone there in the office during drop-off/pick-up for queries or concerns.
