Thrive Teviot House Nursery

Corner House at Spylaw Road provides an excellent standard of care. Without exception, the staff are warm, caring and supportive. Our children have been extremely happy at Corner House. I have no doubt that the confidence we see growing in them has been shaped by the positive, secure and loving nursery environment provided by the staff.

My son loves his time at nursery. I never feel worried to leave him, I know he’s in good care and will have a great day.

We've been very happy in all our dealings with Corner House, Spylaw Road. The staff are great, our son settled in really well, and we all feel happy and relaxed that this is the right place for him to be. The staff in his room are always happy, they get to know the kids quickly, and the whole atmosphere seems just right for someone our son's age.

Our daughter joined in April and we have been very pleased with the nursery and everything about it. They take time to talk to you about your child and how they are getting on and ways to make things work better. Love that kids get to go outside so much.

I really like this nursery however my daughter is in the baby room and I would appreciate far more weekly trips out with the babies and toddlers as oppose to once a month if that- I would expect these regular trips to take place given the amount of fees we pay. I would also expect a sensory room for the babies and toddlers and I most definitely would expect a foreign language e.g Spanish to be taught to the babies/toddlers.

There are other nurseries in the vicinity which offers these things at the same price so I hope Corner House look into this.

Wonderful staff who engage with children and work to meet learners' needs. Child-led learning is evident through the use of the learning spaces as well as documented in the e-journals.

The staff are genuinely interested in the children and their development and are kind, thoughtful, experienced and clearly enjoy what they do. He loves his teachers, his friends, the food, and all the activities. We are delighted.

Fantastic staff who are the most helpful I have met. My daughter absolutley loves her time here and comes home full of stories of her day.

Lovely nursery. We moved here from Germany and staff and management have been extremely helpful and created a tailored settling in plan. The staff are very friendly and supportive and my daughter loves going there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, my daughter has settled very easily and seems to do a range of different activities every day. The staff have a lot of patience and are always happy to talk to my husband and I. The menu for lunch is fantastic, very varied.

We have been very pleased with the nursery since our child joined 3 years ago. The transitions and settlements between groups have been always well-handled. Our child enjoys going to nursery and has learnt a lot in the last years.

My daughter has been with the nursery now for a few months and she absolutely loves it. I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are lovely and I always receive a very detailed report at the end of the day. My daughter has a great bond with the staff which is lovely to see. There are always plenty of activities going on within the nursery for the children to enjoy.

We have found Corner House to be an excellent nursery. Our child enjoys the activities. They have a large garden up front and I often arrive to find my son engrossed in some activity before he realises I'm there. Indoors they have many different areas and activities and he enjoys playing in each of them. They have several rooms so I know he gets a lot of variety. Lunch is provided and they happily accommodate his dietary restriction (an allergy). He enjoys the food and often wants seconds! The staff are very helpful and caring.

Management can be quite hard to get hold of via email/phone but there's always someone there in the office during drop-off/pick-up for queries or concerns.
